Of Angels and Amazons

The crowd roared as Risako managed to connect with her flying moonsault. Kneeling upright, Risako looked down and saw Peggy flattened against the mat, barely, conscious. It would be a simple matter, she knew, to defeat her with a simple pinfall...but a long, grueling match like this deserved a big finish, and a competitor with Peggy's heart and determination deserved a better defeat than a mere pinfall.

Grabbing Peggy by the arm, Risako would yank her up and pull her towards the corner. Grabbing around Peggy's thighs, she would try to hoist the other girl into a seated position in the top corner, before clambering up the ropes in front of her. Sliding an arm around Peggy's head, Risako would grab one of Peggy's legs as well...and unless she was stopped somehow, she would arch back, and try to finish Peggy off with an elevated version of the Kyapuchudo, her signature cradle suplex!

Peggy was almost like dead weight as Risako heft her up onto the turnbuckle.  Peggy was out of it and knew she had to get out of whatever it was that Risako would be about to do something big.  As Risako climbed up Peggy tried to take action.  Peggy began hammering Risako with a flurry of desperate punches before trying to shove her away!  If she was able she would manage to shove Risako down to the mat and set herself up to jump off and smash her with a big elbow drop from the top rope!

After hoisting Peggy up onto the top rope, Risako began to clamber up, ready to finish this match once and for all. Given how out of it Peggy looked, Risako figured that she would have no difficulty setting up her finisher. The McIntyre girl had fought long and hard against her and Emily, but this was it: she would not be getting out of this one.

At least, that was what Risako thought, until Peggy found the strength to drive an elbow down into her skull.

"Ugh~!" Risako gagged as the blow sent colours exploding across her vision. The impact caused her to lose her footing and tumble back down to the mat-- still on her feet, thankfully. She swayed dizzily, clutching her throbbing skull, swaying about on her feet as she tried to right herself...and not knowing that Peggy, with what little strength she had left, was clambering to the top rope.

When Risako did look up, it was just in time to see Peggy diving down at her, elbow first. Her opponent's elbow slammed into her forehead, and the Queen of Queens toppled backwards as though poleaxed, her limbs flopping uselessly to the mat as she stared up at the arena lights, utterly dazed.

Peggy knew Risako was too fresh to really stay down if she went for a pin. Instead as she looked to her own corner Alaina was back and reaching out for a tag. Peggy knew that was the way to go and she began to hobble over, leaping at Alaina to tag her in! Peggy climbed through the ropes and stood leaning against the top rope, slumped over as she could barely stand.

Alaina came into the ring and pulled Risako up to her feet looking to hammer her abdomen with a few hard body punches to keep her stunned. The amazon then grabbed hold of Risako and tried to keep hammering her by lifting her straight up before sending her crashing to the mat with a spine buster!

Risako was down, but she wasn't going to be for long. Clutching her forehead, she rolled around onto her elbows and knees, barely able to concentrate past the splitting headache she was feeling. Peggy, she had to admit, had gotten her good, just when she had ltierally been on the ropes as well. The young woman had always seemed like someone who had a lot to prove, and if nothing else, Risako wanted to congratulate for lasting this long against her after the match.

Forcing her eyes open, Risako knelt upright. It was not Peggy coming towards her, though, but a very angry looking Alaina.

Before Risako could defend herself, she was yanked to her feet, before Alaina's fist ploughed again and again into her midsection. Spittle flew from her mouth as she was battered by those direct punches, and her legs gave out underneath her even as Alaina held her up. Then, unceremoniously, she was lifted off her feet and sent slamming back first into the ring again! The ring shook as the Queen of Queens lay spread eagled, utterly dazed by the Amazon's brutal onslaught.

Emily was still out of it on the outside and the shock of the assault was evident on Risako. Alaina was now caught trying to decide if she should soften her up more or gamble and go for broke now while she had the chance? Of course she was going to go for broke.

Alaina stood up, pulling Risako up by the hair as she shoved her head between her legs. The amazon was clearly aiming to go for an amabomb on Risako in an attempt to put an end to the exhausting tag team battle right here and now! Alaina was going to attempt to amabomb Risako to the mat and if successful she would immediately go for a pin to try to get the win.

The fans were screaming now as Risako lay sprawled on her back, staring up at the lights. After being ragdolled like that by Alaina, the Queen of Queens didn't seem to have much left in the tank. But surely, she might be able to fight back, right? Surely, she couldn't lose now?

Risako, for her part, still looked dizzy and out of it as Alaina grabbed her. A sense of finality hung in the air as Alaina shoved Risako's head between her powerful legs, tilting her upside down so that all the blood rushed to her head. For a moment, Risako was held upside down by her powerful opponent, as though being showed off to the audience in her helpless state.

And then, with a grim air of finality, Alaina dropped Risako down head-first. There was a terrible ring-shaking crash, and Risako flopped onto her front, unmoving. The crowd howled in disbelief as Alaina rolled over and covered her for the pin.

"One....two....THREE!"

In her corner, Emily groaned and covered her mouth in shock as around them, the audience erupted into a mix of cheers and hows of disbelief. After a long fought and gruelling match, the Amazons had just won.

Alaina rolled off Risako and gasped for breath. She heard the bell ringing and her team had won but she was too tired to celebrate. She struggled to sit up and could only rise with the help of Peggy and the referee. As Alaina looked to peggy her partner also wobbled while she walked as the match had clearly taken a toll on her as well.

"That'll show everyone Allie. Holy hell I am tired...." Peggy said as she leaned against Alaina, more or less relying on the amazon to stay up on her feet.

Alaina nodded in response and leaned against the ropes as the two women barely kept up on their feet. Alaina looked over at Emily and Risako nodding as she gathered her strength hobbling over to Risako to help her up.

Emily, meanwhile, was quickly rushing into the ring, diving next to her downed teammate to check up on her. To her dismay, the Queen of Queens was not moving as she lay sprawled on her back, and for a moment, Emily was afraid that she had been concussed. Then, slowly, Risako stirred, her eyes fluttering open. "Wha..." she groaned groggily. "Emily...did we..."

Emily shook her head. "Not today," she said, before forcing a smile. "But we sure gave them a match to remember."

At that moment, Alaina came hobbling over and extended a hand. Despite her dazed state, Risako nonetheless accepted the offered hand and let the Amazon pull her up. The crowd went wild at this show of sportswomanship, and did so further as Risako wearily raised Alaina's arm upwards, acknowledging her as the victor, before turning to face the victorious amazon. "Good match," she breathed. "I knew you were tough, Sanders, and I'm glad tonight you showed me why." She wearily looked at Peggy. "The same to you, Miss McIntyre. You really gave me a hard time tonight."

"Me as well," Emily added, wearily extending her hand to Peggy. "You 'ave my respect, luv, fer a bout well fought."

"Thanks, I felt like you rocked me so bad the first time around I needed to face you again. Anytime you want to mix it up in the ring just let me know and we'll make it happen again!" Alaina said to Risako before she turned to Emily. "Emily here didn't disappoint either, she has some serious power to her and can really bring it."

Peggy smiled and nodded to Risako quietly before turning her attention towards Emily. "I feel much the same as Allie. You two managed to beat us separate so if ya pulled off this win today we would really be down in that hole against ya. I may just go to the gym to get those buff muscles like the rest of ya have...." Peggy said with a small laugh comparing her own figure to the three women around her.
