Shizuko vs. Suzumi: Tarot Card Incident Battle

"TWO!"

Suzumi groaned as the second count came and the referee's hand was high in the air again, just starting its descent to signal her defeat. Suzumi put everything she had into twisting her torso to thrust a shoulder up off the mat to prevent herself from losing right then! However even after kicking out all that she could do was lay there on the mat gasping for breath still stunned and unable to get back into the fight. Things were not looking good at all for Suzumi at this point in the match!

One fleeting second was all it would have taken to conclude this dreadfully exhausting bout...unfortunately, Fate deemed that their struggle continues onward. Shizu grumbling dejectedly after being upended by Suzumi's persistence, the Clairvoyant exhibiting the same level of exhaustion as she remained slumped atop her foe's overturned frame for several seconds. Panting laboriously until managing to begin soldiering upward, once again dragging the bubbly Tsunami upward to her feet by her silver hair before snagging her into a controlling front headlock. Bearing down on it with a grimace before backing them into the middle of the ring, where'd Shizu would intend to put the fan favorite Tsunami away...

Suzumi was in very bad shape and things were looking to get worse for her. She moaned in pain as she was pulled up by the hair, weak on wobbly legs and she stumbled, still barely able to stand even with the help of being stuck in a headlock. Suzumi was desperate and knew she was worn out. She also knew that Shizuko was going to do something big soon as this match had taken a toll on her too.

Out of desperation Suzumi tried to swing her legs around behind Shizuko's in order to trip her up and fall with her rolling her over and trapping her instead in a small package pin! It wasn't what Suzumi preferred to do but right now she was on her last legs quite literally and if something was effective it was good!

"ONE!"

Shizuko could share in not just Suzumi's fatigued exhaustion, but also her dogged determination to not have all of her efforts tonight end up being for nothing. Whether it was for one climactic submission or her Hanged Man's finisher, the Clairvoyant knew she was one maneuver away from earning her victory, but a nagging voice in her head insisted it be performed in the middle of the ring to help ensure it's success. Shizu struggled to keep her equally drained and tired opponent upright considering she was just as weak-kneed as well. But in one second, those legs would be taken out from under her in a startled yelp before she found herself cradled up with her rump in the air, legs ensnared, and the Tsunami's full weight mushed against the side of her face. Muffling her panicked protests as Shizu struggled and squirmed with what little strength she had left, moreso when she started hearing the referee start the pin count. Until...

"2!!"

"3!!!"

Suzumi heard the third pin count and as soon as the bell rang she flopped over, falling off Shizuko into a heap on the mat. She was gasping for breath, struggling to sit up as she clutched her chest. Suzumi was gassed and her body was in a good deal of pain and would be for quite a few days after this. She struggled to rise up to her feet and would hobble over towards Shizuko to try to help her up.

"So hey.... like, I am totally sorry for how things started off when we first met." Suzumi said as she offered to help Shizuko up to her feet hoping that the help would be accepted.

Shizuko didn't know what just happened until it was already over and done with. Her fatigued frame flopping back down after being unhooked from Suzumi's pinning position, breathing hoarsely and to the tune of Suzu's theme being trumpeted over the speakers. Fate...was not kind to her this day. She shielded her face with both hands in disbelief that a moment's contemplation was all it took have her come up woefully short of being deemed a victor of a match she fought so hard for. The despair making her strive harder to fight back some tears, until Suzu's 's apology was overheard from above. The clairvoyant breathing deeply and sniffling back her disappointment to peer upward at the winner, but sought to rise back up to her feet unaided. She'd do so with a struggled wobbliness to her legs to stand before the better woman this night...and instead offered her a handshake. One if reciprocated would rouse some ovation from the crowd in respect for the women who gave it their all in the ring tonight.

"...Please...Accept my apologies as, well. It...was an honor. Destiny...shined brightly on you today."

Suzumi smiled and shook Shizuko's hand grinning ear to ear. "Like you have nothing to apologize for, I totally crashed into you and messed up what you were doing. I am so uncoordinated!" Suzumi said as she raised up Shizuko's hand into the air. The crowd appreciated the gestures they were seeing and it was a nice change from some of the animosity that women often showed their opponents. Suzumi made her way to the ropes, separating them so that it was easier for Shizuko to climb through. In the end Suzumi was very happy with how tonight had gone and it had little to do with the outcome of the match.
