Style: Rin uses a technical and strategic style which avoids punches, kicks, and other such moves with a high rate of injury. He uses a combination of submissions and grapples which target specific parts of his opponent's body that are vital to their move set, such as the legs for aerial types or the back for power wrestlers. He adjusts his style slightly to whoever he faces by doing research when possible on his opponent, but in any match he tries to win smartly without causing too much damage to them, the less pain he inflicts while still picking up the win the better he has done in the match.

Checkmate: Rin grabs onto his opponent's arm with one hand gripping the wrist while the other takes control of the elbow, twisting it inward sharply while stepping to the side to get behind his opponent. As he does this Rin places his left leg up against the back of his opponent's left leg, keeping a firm grip on their arm now that he has it twisted behind their back to help him in lifting his right up and over their head and hooking it around their neck. Using his left foot he kicks out his opponent's left leg and pulls hard on their neck with his right leg to slam them down onto their back while he pulls hard on their arm, pinning their shoulders to the mat while also applying the submission hold on their arm at the same time.

Personality: Rin is more of a quiet intellectual type than your typical male wrestler. He doesn't like to run his mouth insulting someone or bragging about himself, he is at heart a kind and caring person who does not like to cause more pain than he has to to pick up a win, he has even been known to quit a match if it looks like injuring his opponent is the only way to win. He isn't socially inept like others with his kind of intelligence are, he likes talking to people even and has a reputation as a ladies man despite not seeing himself as a player, he just seems to form strong friendships with women that leads to them falling for him. Another cliche associated with geniuses that he avoids is being arrogant, despite being smart himself he doesn't look down on others nor does he like to brag about himself, if pressed with a question he will answer truthfully but his goal is never to make someone feel bad about themselves.


Past/History: Rin is the son of a Japanese father and an American mother, his parents met while his father was overseas on a business trip where he met his mother, the championship wrestler, while taking in a match with new clients. He fell for her the moment he saw her in the ring and he only became more convinced he needed her when he got the chance to speak with her backstage, his new client owned the league so it was easy to set up. At first she thought he was creepy but by the end of the night they ended up in his hotel room. It took many more trips but his father convinced her to marry him and come to Japan where she continued her career for a few years before Rin was born.

From an early age Rin was highly intelligent but lacking in physical strength, something which disappointed his mother somewhat though she never said anything as she had once had hopes of her child taking up the business one day. Rin excelled in his studies to the point where he was offered the chance to jump three grades but his parents refused as they wanted him to have a normal high school experience. The plan worked as he did develop the usual friendships and had all the typical high school experiences a healthy teenage boy should, but in his second year his mother passed away in an accident throwing his plans for his future out the window.

He immediately took the exams for every class of every year and graduated a month after her death, beginning college when he was only 16. His father threw himself into his work and decided it best to let Rin do as he saw fit. After three years he graduated from college with his eyes on attending medical school when he found a box of his mothers old wrestling stuff in his father's attic, since his mother had quit wrestling when she became pregnant with him Rin had never known about her past job, and the after a little looking he found an old journal of hers. Inside it he read how his mother had hoping for a child to follow in her footsteps since she had stopped wrestling early in her career to raise a family, deciding then and there he would make her happy.

Rin lived for the next two years off of excess scholarship money he got for going back to school for another degree, one in sports management so that he could learn more about the sport in general and possible injuries along with ways to avoid them. During that time he threw himself into becoming stronger, pushing himself to overcome his body's limitations until he was in peak condition. He also took to studying wrestling, learning quickly until he was ready to step into the ring for the first time. In that match he lost terribly, finding out that watching film and reading about something didn't make one a master, but after just a few more matches he was picking people apart with his high observation skills and quick thinking, his body improving as well until a scout for the AFW gave him an offer. No other league seemed to be interested in a college student turned wrestler so he accepted.
