For the first time, Avalanche leaves the comfort of the AFWDome and travels abroad. Geneva, Switzerland is the location and folks from all over Europe and beyond have scouted the hottest ticket of the wrestling year! While they fill the stands and prepare for a long night of wrestling, two Friction hopefuls provide the gathering throngs with a battle of wills in a thrilling submissions only match!

Eka peeked around the felt curtain at the arena. It was mostly empty, save a handful of people milling about and a few patrons that were already planted in their seats. Eka knew she wasn't a big draw but she also didn't know they even had dark matches for PPV's. A meek frown appeared on her face. She let the curtain hang down and looked up as if calling any god or gods down to aid her. A long cool breath filled her lungs with air and she waited for her music, for the announcer, for anything.

"Standing at Five foot eight, from Birmingham Alabama, Eka.....Guramishvili!" Eka walked out with her frightening theme filling the otherwise dead room. Well, it wasn't completely dead if Eka was being fair. The few people who were there were giving it there all but the mostly empty room sounded pathetic. Eka did her best to keep smiling. It was her first PPV and she was under the lights of Geneva, so she was going to do her best. Her usual wrestling attire practically shone as she walked down the long ramp, beaming with pride.

She got to the center of the ring and raised her arms, anticipating the triumph that would hopefully come her way. All she could do for the time being was wait. For her opponent, for the crowd, for her chance to bend this woman beyond all recognition. Even if no one else wanted to give it to her, Eka would do everything in her power to seize the moment. She jumped a few times to shake all the jitters out. Show time.

First Tokyo, Japan. Now, Geneva, Switzerland. Avery's career in the AFW was still just beginning, yet, the teenager found herself already experiencing so many new and exciting things! So far, the AFW was everything she had hoped and dreamed for. Now that she was all the way in Geneva for one of the AFW's biggest events, Avalanche, all she had to do now was actually win.

The young redhead was naturally confident, but in truth, Avery knew it would be an act that was easier said then done.

"And her opponent, also standing at 5'8", from Seattle, Washington, Avery Shields!" With her own intro now bringing the stage back to life, the fiery redhead charged down the ramp in an energetic sprint. A sleek, black, sports bra covered her torso while a pair of perfectly snug, matching, vale tudo shorts hugged her curvy hips--displaying a trail of vivid, tribal, fire rising up along her right hip. The shorter, tighter-fitting, vale tudo shorts seemed like a good choice considering the stipulation of the match, and were admittedly a guilty pleasure to Avery; she thought the tight, little, shorts made her butt look amazing, of course. Likewise, the tomboy would be sporting her usual fingerless gloves and tightly-laced boots to complete her mostly black ensemble which contrasted starkly with her long and vibrant, red, hair.

Beaming with her typical youthful exuberance, Avery couldn't ignore a few opportunities to issue out a high-five to fans before dramatically sliding directly into the ring. Bounding up to her feet, Ave would throw a fist into the air briefly as she stood under the massive stadium lights above the ring. The nineteen-year-old's fair skinned practically glowed in the light, accenting her cute freckles and the colorful shapes that made up the young fighter's eccentric and feminine assortment of tattoos. Ave would finally turn, setting her pretty gaze across the ring to her opponent before she spoke in a teasing tone, "Quite a crowd we got here, eh?"

It was obvious that the audience was still in the process of arriving and filtering their way inside the arena. Avery and Eka were the opening act for the actual opening act; it was an amusing thought, but they were both still rookies. This was as good of a shot as any they could hope to get! The lack of a proper crowd thus far was certainly a disappointment, but also somewhat of a momentary relief to the young redhead's nerves. This predicament seemed to give the two young women's match a kind of intimate aspect. It felt like it would just be the two of them alone in ring, throwing everything they have at one another in their clash for dominance. With or without a crowd, it didn't change how significant this night could actually be.

They would have to enjoy it while it lasted. There was no denying the hype that pulsed across the entire arena, even now. It was only a matter of time before this crowd turned into something fierce. Avery quietly vowed to give them a show that would keep them on their feet well into this night of extreme thrills and excitement.

Eka smiled sheepishly. "I have wrestled in front of smaller crowds. I do not mind this one bit. Besides, this will be an intimate match, yes?" She extended her hand for a handshake as a sign of good will. Eka had done a little research and this woman seemed to be a joyful honest spirit. Her voice carried well into the tenth row given the dearth of people in the arena. The only sure thing was that was soon to change.

Eka looked her opponent up and down as they stood together in the center of the ring. She looked like she did when Avery called her out. Strong, fierce, and wild. Eka did her best to put on her war face but Avery's quiet exuberance did not allow her. She had no choice but to match Avery's smile and energy. Energy and adrenaline already coarsed through her veins. She knew she had to not rush into anything or be too reckless. This was a submission match and would be won only by wearing out your opponent. Eka would have to be confident yet cautious.

"Even if there are no cameras and very few people, we can still put on a show, yes?" Eka mentally chided herself for phrasing all her words as a question. She didn't need this woman's approval, especially not if she was about to fight her. Eka tried to conceal her sense of fear. Some girls might be able to smell it and she wanted to throw them off her scent. Right, I can do this, she thought.

It appeared that Eka was reading Avery's mind in regard to the "intimacy" of the match. Winning and losing were always a factor in the ring, but, perhaps more then anything, Avery sought out the ultimate thrill of a challenge. The thought of the Georgian sharing those sentiments only made the young redhead all the more eager to begin. Ave reminded herself to keep her cool, however. She quickly smiled, taking Eka's hand and giving it a firm shake, "Damn right, we can."

As the two prepared to square off in the ring, the tattooed tomboy threw herself into a few bounces; trying her best to loosen up and brush away any lingering pre-battle jitters. She couldn't help but feel her equally youthful opponent's eyes on her--sizing Avery up. Naturally, Ave returned the favor. The Georgian had run into her a couple losses in career, but she had also snagged a pretty impressive win over a particularly nasty heel. She always fought hard and displayed some impressive technical finesse. The two women were a good match in terms of size and weight, but no matter how you looked at it, Avery's opponent had experience on her side when it came to being inside this ring. Avery sensed that Eka was well on her way to finding her rhythm and her comfort zone in the wrestling ring. There was no doubting the quiet determination and resolve that painted Eka's visage even now.

The sudden ringing of the match bell caused Avery's heart to race in her chest, she'd give Eka a firm nod as her excitement took over, "Let's do this!" Eagerly, the tomboy came forward before attempting to wrap the Georgian up in a tight clinch; delightfully content at the thought throwing her raw strength up against Eka's own, if only for a few moment.

It was time to get Avalanche started with a bang!

Eka accepted the clinch and began to try and work her opponent around the ring. Avery had some strength to her, at least matching Eka's, perhaps surpassing it. She pushed to see how far she could push and pulled to see how far she could pull. This wasn't the usual Greco-Roman opening, but this wasn't the usual Greco-Roman match either. The woman who was now entangled with her was an MMA pro and she wanted to get a feel before she tried anything.

Eka reckoned she could take this woman. Avery was strong and skilled but Eka was beginning to feel more and more confident and at home. To an outsider, Eka's move would have appeared to be little more than thrashing. A more trained eye would spot Eka trying to put her leg behind her opponent's leg and bring her hips around gracefully with the intent of bringing the opponent to the mat.

"And here we go!" Eka shouted, trying to bring Avery low for the opening move.

Avery flexed and strained against Eka while the entangled pair did their little dance in the middle of the ring. The Georgian did not disappoint in the strength department, Avery couldn't help but begrudgingly admitted to herself. Regardless, Avery found herself gaining what she believed to be an upper hand in the clinch, the youth's excitement began to rise--only to find a surprised yelp soon leaving her lightly glossed lips. Eka skillfully positioned herself and swung her hips, almost effortlessly tossing the tattooed tomboy to the mat.

Ave hit the mat with a solid thud before quickly rolling out of her opponent's reach. Bouncing to her feet, Ave wore a rueful smile on her slightly flushed and freckled face; it was rather obvious that the Georgian had caught the cocky girl off guard. Yet, there was no mistaking the flicker of fire that touched Avery's eyes before the fiery redhead came at Eka once more with renewed vigor. Stubbornly not learning her lesson the first time, Avery dared to attempt--and lock Eka up tight in--another clinch. This time, however, the young fighter offered some painful encouragement of her own, suddenly swinging a knee fiercely into the Georgian's exposed side.

Eka grunted as the knee pounded her side. It was quick and brutal and there was nothing Eka could have done about it. She still had the woman in a clinch and gritted her teeth. The woman clearly had a passion for combat and wasn't going to go down easy. Well, Eka had her passions as well and wasn't going to be such a pushover herself.

She twisted her hips and brought her own knee up into Avery's side. It was a jerky untrained move but Eka was sure it did some damage. An idea flashed through Eka's mind and she quickly put it into action. "Heeeeeyah!" she shouted as she launched herself into the air. She brought her legs up around Avery's head and contorted Avery's arm into a flying armbar. She hung down on Avery's body like a teardrop as she twisted and racked Avery's arm, trying to go for an early submission.

Untrained or not, the retaliative knee strike brought a sting to Avery's side. The teenager couldn't help but smile despite her discomfort, even if she was on the receiving end it was the kind of spirited reaction she liked to see. Ave found her brown eyes growing wide in surprise, however, as Eka swung her legs up and further threatened to ensnare the redhead completely with her strong thighs. Beating Avery to the punch once more, the Georgian managed to lock in a fierce armbar while she impressively dangled from the redhead's shoulders and captured arm.

"D-Damn, nngh!"

With her opponent's full weight bearing down on her, Ave stumbled briefly as she fought for balance. A sharp pain jolted up her trapped limb as Eka threw her hips against the joint of Avery's painfully extended arm. Ave scrunched her freckled visage harshly, though the determined youth managed to finally plant both of her feet firmly along the canvas--narrowly avoiding the disaster of being completely toppled to the mat. Instead, the tattooed teenager found herself hastily lowering into a hunched position, leaning uncomfortably over her opponent. The burden of the Georgian's weight was now mostly resting along the mat, but Avery was forced to bend over awkwardly, wrapped up tight in clutches of Eka's armbar.

Blood surged to Eka's head as she secured the armbar. Eka wrapped her arms more tightly around Ave's toned arm and scissored her legs more tightly. She was too light (or more likely, Avery had too much core strength) to bring her opponent down to the mat as she intended but she still had her arm in quite the bind. She thrust her hips forward a bit just to apply that little extra bit of pressure to Avery's elbow.

Long tresses of Eka's raven hair were already flowing down to the mat and Eka felt a few drops of sweat on her brow. She did her best to control her breathing and not let her emotions take control of her. She got an early armbar, sure, and she should capitalize on that if she could. The armbar gave her an in and a target to keep working on. But she reminded herself that there was no need to go do reckless things.

"Come on..." she muttered, more to herself than for anyone else's benefit. It was foolish to expect a tap this early, especially from someone so well versed in MMA, but Eka still held out hope.
