AV 14 Main Event: Angel (C) Vs. Taylor Parker for the World Friction Title!

Angel grinned in grim satisfaction, as her chop collided with Taylor's chest, sending the challenger reeling to the side.. Her grin faded though, as Taylor came right back up, lunging towards her.

The sound of forehead-against-face echoed away from them, along with the all too familiar cry of pain emerging from Angel's lips. She fell back as Taylor slammed into her, bringing her down to the floor again.

Her vision was blurry, her thoughts a daze. Her leg was still aching, her neck sore from the earlier chop, and now it felt like her head was splitting open from Taylor's wild headbutt. Angel was in a terrible place, and she was beginning to think it was a mistake hurrying out of the ring after the challenger so fast.

She needed to get away from Taylor. She bucked her body upwards, hard, trying to toss the girl off of herself, so that she could make an attempt at getting some space between them.

Taylor flopped off of Angel as the girl tossed beneath her and quickly sprung to her feet. She had Angel hurt, and it was only getting worse for the Latina as the match went on. She just needed to keep up the pressure and be smart, and eventually she'd break her and show everyone what the champ was really made of.

She reached for one of Angel's ankles and pulled a leg back, and then threw a sharp soccer-style kick into the back of Angel's thigh, just below her butt.

"Why ya gotta play hard to get, huh?" She shouted at the champ, her Staten Island accent coming through loud and clear.

Angel started to hurry back to her feet, but stopped, letting out a growl as Taylor grabbed her leg. She quickly gave her leg a sharp yank back, out of Taylor's grasp, the blonde's kick just barely grazing her leg.

"Probably because you aren't my type!" she shouted back, scooting back further from Taylor and rising back up to her feet. Wasting no time, she turned away from the girl and began to rush away, turning around the corner of the ring, trying to get as much distance between herself and Taylor as possible, so that she could get even a few seconds to rest and regain a bit of stamina.

Taylor wore a sweaty sneer as Angel slipped away. She didn't mind a chase.

"Ohhh, here we go. Maybe if I packed on a couple hundred pounds you'd paint me like one of your squishy sumo girls."

Yes, Angel was fucking Akashi. Taylor, as a mature adult, had accepted that. Eventually.

She stomped after Angel, and when the girl retreated around the corner she became light on her feet again. She darted around the corner at high speed, one arm cocked and ready to knock some teeth loose.

Angel heard Taylor's footsteps dashing towards her, but this time, the Latina was ready.

She quickly spun around to face Taylor, and as a way of greeting her, threw her good leg straight up, straight towards Taylor's jaw. It was the superkick that the blonde had grown quite familiar with, the infamous Angel's Kiss!

Taylor was greeted by the sight of Angel's boot speeding toward her face, that stupid fucking superkick, and in the split second before it landed she tried to stop short and throw it in reverse.

Too late. The kicked slammed into her face with a horrid smack, and the crowd cringed as Taylor went down hard. She laid on her back while fireworks exploded in her head, blinding pain and swirling stars, and writhed in pain with her hands over her face. Her face went white when she saw all the blood on her palms.

"Shit!" She gasped. She felt her nose and nearly cried out in pain. She could feel the sharp edge where the bridge of her nose had broken and was now visibly crooked on her face. Blood leaked over her mouth and down her chin, and panic fluttered in her chest.

"Shitshitshit! Shit!" She scrambled, trying to get her feet under her and retreat while her head was still spinning.

When Taylor went down, her nose leaking out in a stream of blood, Angel couldn't help but smile. This was it. This was her big turnaround moment. This was her chance to get back in control of things.

Had it been any other opponent, under any other circumstances, Angel would have hesitated. She would have backed off a little. But not against Taylor. Not with the bad blood between them. Not with everything on the line.

She quickly stepped towards Taylor, the Latina reaching down to grab her by her pigtails before the blonde could make her escape. "No," she growled, starting to jerk, and tug Taylor back up to her feet, keeping a tight grip on her. "You're not getting away. Not this time, chica."

Once she had Taylor standing again, she gave her another sharp yank, pulling her towards the barricade, separating them from the cheering and screaming audience. With an angry yell and a sudden, single motion, she swung Taylor to the side by her pigtails, trying to throw her hard into the barricade, trying to slam her body straight into it.

"Ah!" Taylor reared back when Angel caught her pigtails, wincing and stumbling after Angel as she led her to the metal barricade.

"Wait! My-" She couldn't finish the sentence. Instead she crashed bodily into the barricade, knocking it back several feet toward the fans, who quickly scattered to make room. Taylor clenched her fists tightly and arched on the floor, one foot lifting up and stomping in pain.

Junko had tried to remain calm during the beginning of the match. Things had seemed to have been going relatively well. Taylor had been attacking Angel in all the right spots and doing most of the right things. She knew that everything could turn in a moment's notice though and when the kick hit, Junko thought she felt her heart leap into her throat and begin to asphyxiate her.

The blood was almost too much but the rough way Angel threw her into the barricade was even more than she could handle.

"TAYLOOOR!" She screamed and took a few cautious steps forward. The match could end anywhere but she knew she had to keep her distance. Part of her wanted to too just so she wouldn't have to see the shape her daughter was suddenly in.

There was no mercy from Angel, as she slammed Taylor into the metal of the barricade. Even as she heard Junko's scream, she refused to stop, ignoring the obvious distress in the older woman's voice.

"Just remember," she called down to Taylor, as she stepped forward towards her. "You wanted this."

She lifted one of her legs, the good, unhurt one, and aimed it straight for Taylor's ribs. She thrust it towards her, starting to stomp angrily at her, trying to rain blow after blow into her body. She was still hurting herself, and for the moment at least didn't want to risk trying anything bigger or riskier. Not until she was absolutely sure that Taylor wasn't going to turn the tables again.
