Rodents at a Cafe

"Hah, are you kidding me, this is pretty much as nice as it gets in Japan." There were the western-style detached homes, but the prices for those were beyond astronomical. She took the moment to pour herself a fresh glass.

"Well... you don't exactly fit the description of a wrestler, do you?"

"I guess I dont. But I have a dream in mind to become a great wrestler." Conza took another forkful of food. "Although...I have only won twice..." He pauses to Maj a small sigh. "Out of 12 matches and fights..."

"Well, someone's gotta be the jobber." Gail paused for a moment, reflecting that her own record wasn't all that much better. "And I guess the fact that you haven't quit yet means you're at least determined about it, so that's something, isn't it?"

"I've never heard said that way before...Ibguess you are right." He blushes a bt and looks down. He lost to Gail just a bit ago, so he was even a jobber to her...

But then hebhearsbher compliment his determination to stay in the AFW. "Well...Two wins means I did something right..."

She was being more blunt than she intended, but the words were already out there. And she didn't exactly feel bad about it anyways. "I guess it depends on how you look at it. But, like... two wins is better than none?" She shrugged, looking back down into the plate of bony bird meat.

"Thanks..." Conza would stay a bit quiet after that, and would only continue to eat the quail. If Gail would look at him when eating she would see his face getting more red. And he hasn't even touched his wine sag for one, nervously sip of the glass.

He went quiet again, and she was about to mention it, but she saw his rather red face, and his barely touched glass of wine. She smiled, turning away... and out to the window. "Ah. Damn." It was raining again, it looked at least as heavy as it was earlier in the afternoon, too.

He looked outside when she said something. He makes a small sigh. "Yeah, that's not good..." A crack of thunder sounded. Conza chuckles. "How exactly did you get that coffee shop? Did you walk?"

"Kinda. First I took the train here. They're pretty crowded." That was a sliiight understatement. "I was just planning on getting one of those boxed meals at the station, but this is a lot better." Gail forked some of the veggies. "But if it keeps up like this... ah, I don't really wanna get out in the rain. Hopefully it'll be done with, but I can't trust the weather today, it seems."

He hated those subways and trains and busses. It was lucky that the young man was introduced to Juniper by Nick. She seemed to be everywhere and nowhere at once. So at least he could ask her to drive him places if he needed.

He but his lip. "If there t persists, I can offer you shelter here tonight..."
