Rodents at a Cafe

"Heh, really now, I'm not just about money ya know... it's not nice to just assume people are all just greedy, ya know!" Gail pouted a little, but her smile soon recovered. "How about just... hmm... well, how about you just make me dinner?" It was a pretty simple request, and also a rather lame prize, but apparently, that was what she wanted out of this.

Dinner? With how she was acting, Conza thought it would be worse. He gives her a warm smile and sits up. "Dinner? Of course I can make you that."

Conza got up and walked to his somewhat fancy kitchen. He would start by washing his hands. "You work up an appetite at all?"

"Ehhh... not really..." Gail tried not to sound too mocking, but the tone was definitely less than humble about things. "Well, as long as it's not microwaved leftovers, it should be fine..." she said, half to reassure herself, half to Conza.

Conza dress off his hands and opens his fridge door. He makes a scoff when she hoped that it wasnt leftovers. "What do you take this Frenchman for? I can cook, and for us I will cook for." Suddenly, he would bring out a handful of many ingredients.

She watched the cute boy go into kitchen mode, taking out more than a few ingredients. "Right, sorry for doubting you, mister mouse." She held back enough to avoid referencing that movie with the chef rat. "You seem like you're enjoying yourself, all of a sudden."

"I-Its okay. Its not like Im going to be mean to you after you won. Im not that mean a guy." He began to cut up some carrots and celery. "You dont have a problem with meat? You arent a vegetarian, are you?

"Eh, meat's fine." She wasn't super strict about her diet. Well, she was, being a wrestler made it hard not to be, but relatively speaking. "Just outta curiosity though... what'd you made me do if you'd won?"

Conza blushes while he unwrapped two small quail to bake in the oven. "O-Oh...You dont want to know that...It wouldn't have been anything big or serious. R-Really..." He set the birds on a pan and began to stuff them with carrots celery and potatoes he cut up.

"Well, if you say so..." Gail shrugged, deciding to leave it for now. Hmm, were those quails? "You just have those lying around in the cupboard for situations like this?" It seemed like an rather complicated dish... then again, her idea of cooking was just stir-frying a bunch of vegetables and whatever protein and call it a meal.

"I eat fairly well. Lots of good stuff. With each match Im given, the pay almost seems to double. There's a bit of a demand for me. Not for the reason I'd like but...It pays in its own way to be the jobber sometimes..."

Conza puts the quail in the oven and turned it on. He smiles and walks back tonthe couch.
