Meeting with the Crimson Eye (Phoebe and Seraphim)

Paydirt. Or so it seemed. Seeing Seraphim stumble, Phoebe acted on instinct, immediately aiming another roundhouse kick from the other direction, hoping to capitalize on the advantage.

For a split second, Phoebe's violet eyes met with Seraphim's eye as she began the maneuver... and the subtle twitch Seraphim saw as they met told everything. Too late to stop herself, Phoebe realized she was in the process of making a mistake.

"Not bad, Phoebe." Seraphim said with a sudden smirk as the kick was coming to her, revealing her real intention just like her eye had. For once, Seraphim wasn't letting out an insult to her opponent either, instead in respects, speaking her name as they fought, finding the girl's approach those far pretty good.

Without waisting her moment though, Seraphim would raise one of her hands up, well prepared for the kick as she saw it coming, and during her block, attempt to catch it in her palm. If she could, Seraphim then would try to clench down on Phoebe's ankle where she went to catch the mighty kick, and use her other arm to strike with a powerful punch to the back of her knee of the leg she caught, hoping to bring the pain early, but nothing to stop Phoebe just yet. The girl had good legs, beautiful even, it was a shame she was going to have to bang them up a little.

Phoebe didn't have time to react to her realization, only coming to it just as she launched the kick. It connected squarely with Seraphim's palm... Seraphim's follow up blow eliciting a pained hiss from Phoebe, jarring her enough to throw her off her balance on her remaining foot and send her to the ground, depending on how Seraphim held on to Phoebe's leg.

However, Phoebe was far from rendered helpless. No matter how she fell, she would still try to lash out with her free leg to try to strike Seraphim in the gut close to where she had kicked her before.

Down to the mat in no time. That was how Seraphim liked it. Hit hard, strike fast, especially where they are vulnerable. Feeling proud of her shot, Seraphim was anything but ready for what came next, as Phoebe lashed out with an outward kick during her fall, hitting Seraphim right where it hurt. Her gut still a little tender fro her match with Megumi, it hurt twice as much as she felt Phoebe's foot, heel and all, connected squarly in her stomach. "Fngh!" Letting out a sharp exhale, Seraphim's hands both covered her stomach as she stagged back, doubled over as her once pale face dropped to a shade of red, leaving her winded as she gasped for breath. The attack strike her where she was most vulnerable... she had to give Phoebe credit for that one.

Vulnerable for only a moment, Seraphim tried to shake it off, but her knees felt weak for the moment as she tried to struggle out a breath, starting to grit her teeth and cringing as she felt like someone had just smacked her with a wrecking ball.

Phoebe glanced up, somewhat pleased that she had been able to nail Seraphim so hard... not out of malice but just the thrill of combat. Unfortunately, Seraphim had given as good as she got. Phoebe's knee throbbed in pain from the blow she had received. Slowly, she staggered to her feet. Without a second's hesitation, she would charge toward her foe, aiming to grab Seraphim as she was still hunched over, trying to flip her to the mat in a judo-style takedown.

With the pain still pulsing through her gut, Seraphim had little else on her mind. Had she been in top shape, she could have been able to shrug it off, the girl had the tolerance to take more than any human should, but her lower stomach had always been a weak point, and Phoebe had struck it well enough to leave her still open. She bit the edge of her lip, cursed under her breath, and focused on regaining her breath, helping to take the edge off the pain, but it still wasn't enough in time as Seraphim was in for the follow up attack.

Her world going upside down and then strait up in a heartbeat, Seraphim was surprisingly light for someone built so well, and was easily thrown over and down to the mat, Phoebe's throw going better than she could have dreamed. The mat beneath Seraphim trembled as she smacked into it, her back going down first, but as she did, she didn't yell out in pain, in fact, she just let out a long, steady breath, sprawled on the mat while looking up at the cieling. 'Okay.. time to step things up a notch.' Feeling a bit better in the front by now, her back hardly taking in the slam from the take down, Seraphim rolled to the side, getting up in the proccess, nearly on all fours for a moment.

"Okay, let's try that again." She said with a smirk, looking like she could take on plenty more before she took up her stance again. If Phoebe didn't come at her again, Seraphim would surely do so instead. But for now, she still was gathering herself, only slightly hunched at this point, but her hybrid stance up and ready.

Phoebe's knee still ached, but she still shrugged it off, watching Seraphim rise as she herself prepared to attack once more. Deciding that it would be best to press the advantage, she closed the distance once more, her gait slightly favoring her knee while it recovered. She aimed to lock up with Seraphim and hopefully lock her good leg in to trip her, slamming Seraphim down to the mat once more.

There was something great about watching this girl in action. She seemed to really have herself well balanced, and had the looks down too. There was something almost mesmerizingly beautiful about her violet hair, but Seraphim didn't let herself get too distracted. Ready to put on her own offensive, she would go in to strike just as Phoebe had, causing a bit of mayhem for the both of them.

Normally, in a Mauy Thai stance, she was difficult to trip up, as her leg in front that was the only one you could really trip, had nearly no weight in it for supporting her, only the toes usually touching. But since Seraphim rushed in for a charge, her boxing style thrust more than ready to connect with Phoebe's cheek and jaw, she lost the stance from the waist down, and felt the sweep meeting it's mark. In mid sweep though, Seraphim went in for her own strike, her fist sent forth towards Phoebe's cheekbone coming in and hopefully connected before Seraphim went down, falling face first, but managing to get her hands out that flailed as she tumbled, palms smacking into the mat as she landed.

Just as she knocked Seraphim to the floor, Phoebe saw the fist aiming toward her face. Damn. Gravity combined with Seraphim's strength made for a potent blow. Phoebe recoiled, taking a step backward and massaging her jaw, glancing back at Seraphim.

The Crimson Eye was vicious, strong, and confident. All traits that accentuated her natural beauty. Phoebe was increasingly glad this woman had come to her as an ally... at least for the time being.

Such thoughts rarely came to her in a fight, she shrugged them off and immediately tried to close the distance, aiming a kick to Seraphim's side if she was able to catch her before she recovered from that fall.

This fight was really getting exciting now! It wasn't like they were just trading blow for blow, those fights were fun, but this was something better. It was like their fight was a dance, one attack countering into another, both of them leading and reversing one another's attacks into another, keeping the two on their toes and making the fight all that more unpredictable: It was really refreshing.

On her hands and knees, her palms stinging a little from slapping the mat, but nothing more, Seraphim was on her way to get up, when she noticed a kick coming her way. This felt like the fight with Megumi earlier all over again for a brief moment, and Seraphim was planning the same thing she had last time.

She took the attack, leaning back and away from the kick, but still taking it right in the chest, just below her breasts as the foot slammed into her ribcage. Tolerating the pain though, Seraphim grittered her teeth as herhands left the mat, and wrapped around Phoebe's foot, attempting to get a grip on her ankle. There, if she got a grip, she would roll to the side while holding her leg, hoping to force Phoebe down to the mat with her if she succeeded.
