Suzumi saw that Vida was down, and didn't want to drag the match out any longer. It was time to put Vida in her favorite modified dragon sleeper the Tsunami Sleeper! She moved to Vida and pulled her to a sitting position, quickly moving behind her! "This is gonna hurt, just tap out girl!" Suzumi said as she sprang into action!

Suzumi wrapped her legs around vida's waist from behind again. This time she wrenched Vida's head back and wrapped her strong right arm around Vida's neck, the rookie looking up at the lights as the midsection and more importantly airway choke began! This was a painful, choking submission, deadly in its dual purpose! Suzumi also still had her left arm free, although she opted not to pound on Vida's abdomen with it. Instead she held her arm high, sticking her index finger up as if to say she was number one.

As the crowd cheered her, she had every reason to believe that they also thought she was number one!

Vida was still fuzzy, when Suzumi began turning her over, facing her upright. The latina's head lulled from side to side, right up until Suzumi wrapped her arm around the girl's slender throat, trapping her in the Tsunami Sleeper. At that point, the young woman panicked, realizing what was about to befall her, and suddenly came back to life!

Eyes wide, Vida bagan to try and thrash against the hold. Suzumi had her legs around Vida's waist tight, however, and the lithe rookie wasn't going anywhere. When Suzumi began wrenching her head back, there was nothing Vida could do. "AAAAAAHHH!" she screamed, head twisted back, spine contorted, air being forcd out of her lungs. Tears flowed freely from the rookie's eyes, her pretty face a grim mask of pain as Suzumi laid into the punishing hold. The pain was incredible, as her body was stretched out, her helplessness of full display before the packed arena.

"Augh," Vida grunted, as the last of the air was being forced from her lungs. Looking up at the bright lights of the arena, she could see Suzumi's finger raised to the air, hear the mounting chants in support of the Japanese fighter's claim of being number one. Vida let out a sob, as she was forced to agree. With a free hand, the young latina began tapping the mat, signaling her defeat. "Y-you win, Suzumi," she gasped, with what little air she had left. "You're ... number one ..."

As soon as Suzumi felt the tap and heard the ring bell, she let Vida out of her hold. Suzumi stood up and walked around the ring with her arms held high as the announcer called her as the victor! After strutting a little bit, and blowing kisses to the crowd, Suzumi looked down at Vida. That girl had a lot of fight in her, and had potential. She just needed experience.

Suzumi knelt down next to Vida and smiled. "Girl, you totally have potential. Like, with some experience and training I could see you crushing through a lot of the women on this roster. You are very fast, and have great footwork. Just get grappling down, and work on fast strikes and you will be standing here in the ring for victory after victory!" Suzumi said to Vida.

Suzumi stood back up, offering the rookie a hand. Vida reminded her of Mikoto the first time she saw her former friend in a ring. Mikoto was a better grappler, sure, but Vida had an outward enthusiasm as well as abundance of speed that Suzumi knew would take her places.

Once released, Vida collapsed onto her back. Her pert chest was straining against her ring gear, as she panted and sobbed, rather pitifully. Through tear-strained eyes, Vida watched the victorious Suzumi parade around the ring, soaking in the well-earned cheers of the fans. Vida knew she shouldn't be surprised by the outcome; Suzumi was an experienced fighter, what chance did the tiny little rookie have against that? Still, the physical pain and the total heartbreak of tapping out rather outweighed all other considerations, at the moment.

Then, Suzumi knelt down and talked to her. Vida unconsciously flinched, a second, not sure what to expect. But when the Japanese woman offered sincere words of encouragement, Vida couldn't help but smile. Tears still running down her face, it gave her comfort to know that she'd earned the veteran's respect. "Th-thank you," she said, quietly. At least Vida hadn't managed to completely humiliate herself. "I- I hope we can meet again, sometime. And when we do, I hope I can show you real progress! Thank you, for this experience ..."

Vida accepted Suzumi's offered hand, and got off the mat. The latina youth was able to force herself to smile, giving an appreciative wave to the crowd, as she began weakly walking out of the ring. This was Suzumi's moment, after all. At the very least, though, the Tsunami seemed to think Vida would have many of her own, in the future.

Winner: Suzumi Ishikawa, via submission, with the Tsunami Sleeper
