Mutual Intrigue

Akino sat still and digested the information as Alicia fed it to her. Anyone could tell a bodyscissor was painful to be in, and that that statement would be considerably even truer in the case of anyone taking on this particular redhead. But to knock someone out with a hold like that? That was something Akino hadn’t yet seen.

But as Alicia spoke, it definitely made sense. It may not exactly strangle the unfortunate target in the same way as a sleeper hold or a headscissor. But just like Alicia said, everyone has to breathe at some point. Take that away, and it’s off to dreamland for them.

For a moment she just sat there and pondered it all. Or rather, pictured it playing out in her head as Alicia had described. She imagined herself going through the process step by step on some of the opponents she’d been in the ring with. She pictured them struggling and writhing between her legs while she just squeezed and squeezed, until they finally stopped moving.

Akino couldn’t help but grin right back at Alicia. That sounded like a lot of fun, maybe even a bit more than it should have.

“I’ll definitely give it a try sometime… You said you knocked a guy out with that. I take it that was a Tension wrestler?” she asked. Akino’s own experiences with that brand had left her…a bit jaded toward it, to put it lightly. But she was more than a little curious about the thought of Alicia matching up against some of those big muscle heads in Kyoto.

Alicia was happy to let Akino daydream about it, taking the opportunity to make inroads into her coffee, burger and chips. Clearly, the idea appealed and she didn’t need to see the grin to get that. Hey, nobody expected anyone to be able to pull a bodyscissors knockout. But, if they did, it’d be coming from someone like Alicia herself – not Akino.

Whether Akino could pull it off, well… That was why she’d asked the bluenette to let the kickboxer know how it went if she tried it. Even better, she’d like to see the other woman try it but, well, they didn’t know each other that well. Yet. She’d definitely like to get to know Akino better.

”Dmitri Voronov,” The redhead confirmed with a bop of her head, wondering if Akino would have heard of him and deciding probably not, ”It wasn’t a proper match though. More like a, um, sparring session.”

She eyed Akino, not entirely sure how much of those particular beans she ought to be spilling to this particular woman. They barely knew each other and, well, while she didn’t feel at all bad about what she’d done with or to Dmitri, some people she knew wouldn’t understand.

Would Akino? Her instincts said ‘yes’, particularly after that grin. That wasn’t a nice grin, and the conversation to date also kind of played that way.

”Let’s just say he wasn’t expecting to be my stress ball,” The amazon decided on, flashing a smirking sneer of her own.

The name wasn't one Akino was familiar with. She briefly considered doing a bit of research when she could. But something about the way Alicia talked about him gave her the impression it wouldn't be worth it.

She just nodded when Alicia explained, sort of, the circumstances of her encounter with Dmitri and how it ended up the way it did. And again she grinned after that last line.

"Most men don't expect to be on the losing end when taking on women. Even if..."

Akino's voice trailed off when she heard and felt her phone vibrating in her pocket, and she reached down to pull it out. She expected it to be nothing - maybe a text from Chloe. Something she could ignore while enjoying the rest of this friendly little meeting. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

"Oh for the love of...." The bluenette groaned, and the grin she'd been wearing for the last few minutes disappeared entirely, replaced by a look of pure annoyance. "I'm sorry. Part of the deal for the Ueno match was I had to agree to do some stupid interview after. I didn't realize that was today."

With a heavy, reluctant sigh Akino pulled herself up and bowed apologetically to Alicia. "I'm sorry to have to leave so abruptly. It was good meeting you, Alicia."

And with that the one-eyed maiden hurried off. As much as she didn't want to leave now, or even do this interview, she'd been raised to always be prompt for everything. She'd agreed to do this thing, so she'd be there. Hopefully it would all be quick and painless. Though deep down Akino had a sinking feeling that wouldn't be the case.
