Calm before the Snowstorm

After a long day of training in the AFW's facility, Haley was looking forward to a nice night of relaxation, curled up with Valley by her fireplace, sipping hot cocoa, followed by...just all of the hot sex.

...Unfortunately for her, her luxury apartment suite was currently having its carpets cleaned, and she was supposed to stay out of it for a few hours, to give it time to dry out and for the furniture to be put back. Valley, who wanted to stay home all day anyway after a long day of training yesterday, was generous enough to stay and keep an eye on things, while Haley went and trained, preparing for her big Avalanche title match.

But now, with training done for the day, and having already showered, Haley sat on her big comfy couch, clad in just a tank top and shorty shorts that barely reached her thighs, and a PS4 controller in hand, enjoying the shiny shiny graphics on the new updated version of Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.

"Ha! Take that bandit! FUS-RO-D...UNRELENTING FORCE!"

She yelled, changing her words halfway, as her Dovahkiin Shouted a Khajit bandit off a cliff. Much as she liked the game, just saying those words was making her jaw sting, a reminder of Adrian's recent superkick to her face.

Adrian ached all over and for once it was a good sign. She hadn't been pushing herself as hard as she could have in training lately, mostly due to nursing a whole set of minor injuries and niggling pains that stopped her from really pushing herself for fear of snapping something before a match. It wouldn't be the first time she'd gone into Avalanche injured but considering how well it went last time, it was not something she wished to repeat ever. Still, this training session had been the first time in a while where Adrian pushed herself like she normally did, and now that she was way to tired to start a fight but had enough energy and endorphin to still do stuff. It was time to do something she'd avoided for a while. Dressed in jogging pants and a loose T-shirt she pulled up to Valley Doll and Silver Ace's shared locker room.

Taking a deep breath, she reached her hand up to knock on the door, ready for whatever.

"Hmm?"

Haley looked up, the sound of someone knocking at her door distracting her from her game.

Curious about who it could be, since Valley was at her place and it was late afternoon on a day without any AFW events, Haley got up and went to the door, peeking her eye through the peephole, something she insisted on having installed. While she was no coward, AFW was full of psychos willing to attack someone backstage, and the last thing she needed was WAR trying to smash her in her own locker room.

But it wasn't WAR.

"...What the..."

Haley frowned, unlocking and opening the door

"Adrian? What are you doing here?"

Yup this was awkward as expected. After not just kicking her in the face but then going on a Savage-esque rant about the Canadian, Adrian couldn't really blame Ace for being angry at her, but at least she was still opening the door to her. "Apologizing?" She asked nervously, shrugging her shoulders. "I get it if I'm not exactly your favourite girl right now... or in the top twenty...fifty."

Well this was...interesting.

It would be easy to stay mad at Adrian. She had kicked Haley in the face, had ranted and raved against her and claimed conspiracy, and threw them in a cage at Avalanche...but seeing her standing there, shrugging, clearly nervous, and apparently offering an apology...well...she just couldn't.

Opening the door more, Haley sighed and leaned against the frame, crossing her arms.

"No...it's alright...I uh...I should apologize too. That...wasn't the most respectful way I could, or should, have challenged you..."

Yay for mutual awkwardness for it's ability to defuse particularly hostile situations, the apologies going past quickly enough that it was tempting to just go "see ya" and leaving to go back to her apartment but there was more to say. "We both kinda screwed up but uh... you didn't give me a boot to the face for it so unless you want to just drop me now can I uh... come in?"

Granted, Adrian had a point, Haley hadn't dropped or attacked her, forgoing the usual wrestlers desire for petty revenge. She was tempted, for sure, but Adrian was her friend, and while she was already being a bitch by wanting to take her title and make her a gate keeper, she didn't want to cross the line into making them legit enemies of each other.

"its fine, I dont wanna hit you...i kinda got that out of my system when I hit Stan...um..cmon in..."

She said, letting Adrian in, walking back just in time to see her Dovahkiin get bitten and tossed around via Dragon.

"Awwww..."

Adrian managed to catch a glimpse over Hayley's shoulder, wondering how someone named Stan got a job in production in Tokyo but that was replaced by the sight of a dude in armour being turned into a dude inside a dragon's stomach. "Forget to pause?" She suggested nervously "I didn't know you did much in the way of gaming but uh... yeah. Guess that puts you into like the top half of people who actually get where I steal names from."

"Hey, yeah, I've been getting into gaming on my off time. Was a big Sonic the Hedgehog fan as a kid, with the Sega Genesis and all, but Skyrims the first modern game I've gotten into, its pretty fun!"

"Sooo...Avalanche is coming up fast...im uh...kinda nervous about wrestling in my him town again...been years since I was last home.
