Maria Tempesta vs. Peggy McIntyre

Peggy groggily was hauled back up and sent to the ropes, bouncing off and flying back at Maria who was lying in wait. Peggy was helpless as she was flipped down hard to the mat! "Arrrrgh!" She cried out as she landed hard on her back.

Peggy laid there looking up at the arena lights, weakly kicking the mat as she remained where Maria threw her down. She tried to sit up and weakly fell back to the mat, looking to be down and out!

That last move looked like it had pretty much devastated Peggy. The Irish girl was now lying prone on her back, not moving except for faint, weak movements. Her attempt to sit up ended in failure as she simply flopped onto her back again. This was it, Maria knew: Peggy was more or less done. Now it was simply a matter of finishing her off.

"Oh, yell all you want, you know you love it!" she jeered to the booing audience members, pausing to give them all a few rude gestures as she fanned the flames of their ire even further. Deciding it was time to finish this match in style, Maria began to climb the ropes, going to the top ropes and clapping her hands. "Come on! Watch me finish this puta off! I'm your new fan favourite, losers, you just don't know it yet!"

And with that, Maria would spring off the ropes, grabbing her knees in a cannonball-esque motion as she flew downwards, unfurling at the last minute to finish Peggy off with a flying backflip!

Peggy was not at all doing well but she was smart enough to at least keep her eyes on Maria. Her vision was fuzzy and head swimming but she saw Maria on the move. Not good, not good at all!

As soon as Maria jumped on the ropes and sprang back Peggy knew she had to do something. Right now, that didn't even mean doing much. Hell her plan still involved her laying there... just not at the exact spot she was currently in. Peggy groaned as she suddenly jerked to the right, rolling out of the way leaving Maria to flatten herself on the mat without having Peggy cushion the fall!

Maria was the centre of attention now, and she loved it. All eyes were on her as she climbed the top rope like some all-conquering demon, ready to finish Peggy once and for all. Quite a few of the audience members were screaming for Peggy to get back up, but Maria paid them no heed, balancing herself on the ropes before springing off, launching herself at the prone Irish girl below.

It was an elegant yet devastating move, one that would have knocked the air from Peggy's lungs and left her far too stunned to resist the ensuing pinfall. If it had hit. Instead, almost in slow motion, Maria saw Peggy turn, and slowly lurch to the side, just out of her way.

"Oh shiiiiiiiiii---"

She slammed against the bare mat face and chest-first, jacknifing off of it, and flipping over onto her back. Stars danced across Maria's vision, and she flailed blindly on the mat before flopping onto her back, dazed. In an instant, the crowd exploded as this near-miss bought Peggy a much-needed turnaround.

Peggy saw Maria land hard and smiled. As much pain as she was in, seeing Maria flopping like a fish out of water rejuvenated her. Peggy crawled over to Maria and grabbed hold of an arm, yanking it as she tried to maneuver herself in position to wrap Maria up into a triangle choke hold!

Peggy hated this hold, which is why she so gleefully placed Maria in it. "Whats wrong ya cocky bitch? Ain't any fun when your attitude is bigger than your ability is it?!" Peggy shouted as she tried to choke the fight out of Maria.

There was an uncomfortable ringing in Maria's skull at that moment as she lay on her back, clutching her hurting forehead and kicking uselessly at the mat. At the back of her mind she knew that she had just made a horrible and idiotic botch, one that no doubt made her look like a total fool. It was fair to say that, at the moment, she was more embarrassed than hurt.

The hurting would soon get worse, though, as she suddenly felt Peggy's powerful legs lock around her throat. "Wha--AAAAGH..." she gagged, instinctively pawing at her throat. In a matter of seconds, she went from lying stunned on her back to flailing on the mat, kicking and squirming as her breathing was cut off by Peggy's legs. She tried to twist free, but at the moment, she was having no success...

Peggy may as well have been a python keeping a constricting hold on place on Maria. The bonus? Maria wasn't talkig for once!

Peggy applied all the pressure she could, gritting her teeth as she tried to get Maria to tap!

"Hnnnngh!" Maria gritted her teeth, her slender body arching as she tried to pry herself free of Peggy's legs. Nothing was working: Peggy's scissors were crushing her with an iron grip. She had to escape, and fast.

Pressing her boots against the mat, Maria tried to propel the two of the backward, hoping to drive an elbow into Peggy's side to make her let go. If she failed to hit, though, then she would resort to plan b-- trying to roll the two of them close enough to the ropes to snag a boot on them!

Peggy gave it all she had, but Maria was as resilient as she was cocky! Peggy heard the call for the rope break and unlike her foe, she honored it. "Damn it ya pesky bitch...." She cursed under her breath as she left go, backing off so Maria could get up.

Peggy stood in the center of the ring, waiting for Maria to act. She could only hope that she wouldn't regret going along with what she was taught about the rules against a woman like Maria. If playing fair led to her losing to this cocky loudmouth Peggy would have to re-evaluate some of her tactics.

Finally, Maria managed to grab the ropes, earning a much-needed release. Gasping, she rolled onto her side, one gloved hand clutching where Peggy had been neatly crushing her abs. Breathing hard, she glared up at Peggy, the look in her eyes saying quite explicitly that the Irishwoman was in for a world of hurt now.

Rolling over to the corner, Maria reached under it and pulled out a packet of green mist, quietly popping it into her mouth and chewing on it while out of the referee's eyesight. Standing back up, she would glare at Peggy and move at her, daring the Irish girl to get closer. And then, of course, once she was in range, Maria would open her mouth and spit the green mist right into Peggy's face!
