Learning Wrestling Repertoires Empty Learning Wrestling Repertoires

Hey folks,

So, I'm new to wrestling. I never watched it much growing up, whether that means pro wrestling, boxing, MMA, graeco-roman, or any other predicate you might like to add to it. Because of this, I don't know a lot about the sorts of styles and moves that might make my characters interesting from a combat perspective. That's something I'd like to fix!

Now obviously just watching wrestling is a good start for learning. However, does anyone know of any good books, YouTube channels, or other (preferrably cheap) media that focus specifically on wrestling repertoires, match pacing, or other more technical aspects of the show?

Thanks a bundle in advance Smile !

I'd recommend BWDJ1987's series, Moves That Made Me Go Holy Shit.

Lots of cool spots.

It might be a little in depth for someone completely new to the business but Stone Cold Steve Austin did commentary tracks over some of his most famous matches, breaking down what happens and why.

Thanks guys Smile Both of those look really helpful!

It might be a little in depth for someone completely new to the business

To clarify, I'm not totally new. I've read  a lot of books and seen a lot of videos/documentaries about wrestling. I know terms like kayfabe, babyface/heel, shooting; I know a bit about the history of the WWE and its competitors; I know names like Vince McMahon, Mick Foley, the Ultimate Warrior.

I just don't know the nitty gritty things your videos appear to be about. So they're perfect! :3
