Submission Match: Suzumi vs. Eliza

Suzumi was feeling a rush, a little wave of momentum in recent weeks. She had a couple matches and emerged victorious from them. Today she planned on keeping the trend alive. Clad in her orange and white swimsuit, boots and kneepads the tsunami was ready to come crashing down on another opponent.

As her music played the confident Suzumi came strutting out, swaying her hips and waving to the fans as she made her way down the ramp. Suzumi blew some kisses to the cheering crowd, sliding into the ring underneath the ropes and getting up, basking in the cheers of the crowd as she held her arms out, doing a trot around the ring before settling into her corner to wait for Eliza.

Suzumi wasn't the only one who was on a roll. Eliza was making a name for herself, the Texan made a splash in two different leagues in AFW not too long ago. She may not have a lot of matches under her belt but they were big pokes, one of them created a heated rivalry with one Prince. There were a lot of things to look forward to for Eliza so she thought why not get another match in? The Texan Native looking to keep that positive vibe going. And it's with a Wrestle Angel! That alone got Eliza pumped that she would get to face one!

The All-American theme starts playing after Suzumi's finished, Eliza exploding out of the curtains, already the crowd getting hyped up for this. The match itself is familiar to the blonde, her debut in tension was a submission match, which she won. This one is with a real submission expert. So she's definitely got a fight in her hands!

Running up and then hops up onto the apron, still athletic as ever as she climbs up the turnbuckles to give a pose to the crowd. "HELLLLOOO TOKYO!!" Basking in the resounding reception before she would hop down to the canvas.

"Well, I'll be!" Eliza called out as she skipped towards her opponent. "Didn't think I'd get to meet a Wrestle Angel in the ring this far in my career!"

Suzumi stood with her hands on her hips, smiling and nodded as the energetic woman made her way down to the ring. Her tone seemed friendly enough and Suzumi extended her hand.

"Yeah, I have totally tried to keep up on things in the ring after leaving there...." Suzumi said, remembering her forced retirement due to injury and her comeback in Friction being more successful than many imagined it could be. "Like it is great to meet you! Let's have a good match!" Suzumi said, hoping the hand shake would be accepted.

And she's very nice too! Double awesome! 

She sees the extended hand that Suzumi gave to the Texan and like the courteous and respectful woman she is, Eliza accepted the handshake, not one of those weak and wimpy ones but strong. Not too strong that she would break the bones of her hand. Not that she would intend to of course.

"Yeah! It's nice to see you bounce back like this!" She did hear bits and pieces about the injury that kept her away, only to make a massive comeback later on. That inspired the young Lone Star as she gives a beaming smile. "I'm pretty sure we're gonna tear the roof off, hun!" Letting go afterwards, not wanting to be that person that holds on for too long that it becomes awkward. 

"I'll be giving my all in this so don't you start holdin' back on me. Give it yer best and may the best woman win!" Grinning as she bounced on her toes, feeling pumped already, the crowd cheering for their favourites Ever the crowd pleaser, Eliza waved and pumped her fist in the air to get them riled up before the bell would soon ring, signalling the start of the match. Settling into a nice grappling stance, knees bent, hands raised, back bent just a bit, you know, the usual stuff.

 Suzumi seems like a nice girl and hopefully, she could impress the Wrestle Angel with her own skills! Though with how well she was doing with other veterans, Eliza remained confident and hungry for the win!

Suzumi smiled and nodded, keeping quiet now that the match was just about underway. She had a focused look on her face as the bell rang.

Suzumi bounced back and forth before crouching low, her arms up at the ready. Suzumi eyed Eliza, determined not to fall victim to her skills or add to the list of accomplished wrestlers to fall to her. Suzumi lunged in with a grunt trying to lock up with Eliza and kick things off with a grapple! Suzumi wanted to use her leverage and footwork to gain something of an advantage, trying to change position and grab one of Eliza's arms to send her to the mat with a hiptoss!

Alright, now it was time to get serious. She could see that on Suzumi's face. No need to say anything. The Texan settling into her own stance, just eager to start things off. 

Appraising her opponent, respectable of the skill that the opponent has and does not wish to fall victim into any traps. Going in guns blazing might not be the right idea. Nah. The All-American will need to be careful. 

The Tsunami soon kicked things off with a standard lockup, one that Eliza agreed on, grunting with effort as their limbs grasp onto each other. This all feels too familiar with the last submission match she just had. But now was not the time to be thinking about the past. Suzumi definitely has her footwork down pat, looking slick as she changed positions, Eliza seeing her arm being grabbed and the Texan felt her hip pressed into her hip/lower abs for that hip toss. 

"Woah!" While Eliza certainly did go over her hip, she was one with surprises, always familiar with good ol' wrassling. 

The Texan would fall to her side, though she would also seek to use the same momentum to turn the tables on her as Eliza looked to pull the captured arm that Suzumi has taken a hold of, looking to send her to the mat with her with a simple Arm Drag!

Suzumi thought she started off on the right foot, and perhaps she had. However Eliza was not one to be outdone! Suzumi let out a yelp as she landed hard on her back, trying to get away and out of Eliza's grip so she could stand up to her feet and reset.

Suzumi tried to move back in to close with Eliza, not wanting to give up initiative in this match. She reached once more with her hands, but as she drew close she tried to duck down and swing her legs around, attempting to send Eliza to the mat with a leg sweep! Fro there Suzumi would try to pounce and grab one ankle in both hands, knowing that an ankle lock could hopefully do some damage and reduce Eliza's mobility a bit.... provided Suzumi was able to successfully lock it in!

A nice display of some chain wrestling going on, Eliza using her quick wits just to reverse the hip toss. Suzumi may be a Wrestle Angel but she wasn't going to be outdone. The All-American fought to win at the end of the day and this match was no different!

Both standing up afterwards, the crowd liking what they have seen so far as these two engage in this struggle and expressed that with cheers! Suzumi came straight back in, Eliza wasn't going to complain about that as she looked for another lock up but the Tsunami changed levels and went low, the Texan soon finding her legs swept from under her! "Woah!" Landing with a grunt, not a nice landing but she had gone through rougher.

Suddenly she felt a grasp on one of her ankles and she looked straight to see Suzumi having a hold of her leg. "Shit!" She thought to herself as Suzumi would apply the ankle lock, having her yelp in pain. But she wasn't going to stay in it for a long time, knowing every second is precious as she would roll herself onto her front, pushing up off the floor with both hands, hoping the chain wrestling skills could serve her as she attempts a front somersault, looking to throw her off as she does to reverse it!

Suzumi was getting frustrated as she was again thwarted by Eliza, flipping over and landing hard on her back! She groaned in pain as she slapped the mat and tried to scramble up to her feet. She eyed Eliza and had to try to think of something to do. She held her arms up, circling cautiously.

Suzumi moved in, trying to grab hold of one of Eliza's arms and whip her towards the ropes o the opposite side of.the ring!

An ankle lock this early in a match. Eliza knew all too well how dangerous that could be, and if she doesn’t get out quick enough then her mobility would be compromised heavily. And she wasn’t looking to let Suzumi have the quickest win, Wrestle Angel or not.

It was one thing to thwart the plans of the submission expert as she flipped Suzumi over, the crowd is enjoying how fast paced the action is so far. Though Eliza had only been on the defensive so far in this match, having to try and get away from her clutches. She needs to get something going on. As she got to her feet, Suzumi got to her feet and sling the Texan to the ropes, being whipped to the ropes and bouncing off them as she made her return to the Tsunami.

Not wanting to wait and see what Suzumi might have in store for the Texan, Eliza came in fast and just at the exact moment, she leaped up in the air, aiming to bring both of her feet on her chest with a dropkick.
