Strategy: As a lifelong fan of the sport, Fujika is a well-rounded opponent for just about any adversary. She prefers going toe-to-toe with her competition from the outset, eyeing their movements carefully while wearing them down the submission holds. Larger opponents, on the other hand, will see her become more of an opportunist. She’ll err on the side of caution in accordance with her police training, targeting specific the lower body to bring them down and her opponent down to her level and work them into a submission hold or set them up for a finishing blow. Occasionally, though, when things are going her way, she’ll deviate from plans and let her old childhood dreams influence her, going for a high-flying stunt or over-the-top move before getting serious again.

Cease - As her opponent charges her, Fujika will leap up and swing her leg into their chest while grabbing their arm, swinging them over her and forcing them to the ground backfirst, using their momentum against them with a sudden reversal. She’ll keep hold of their arm and, with the two on their backs, place it between her legs to lock in a harsh armbar.

Desist - With her opponent in a standing guillotine choke, Fujika will roll backwards and come out on top with her opponent on their back. She will then wrench their arm away to the side, forcing them onto their stomach and their arm between their legs. Seating herself on their shoulder, she will then wrench their arm up to lock in a kneeling fujiwara armbar.

Case Closed - Grabbing hold of her opponent’s arm, Fujika whips the opponent around and forces them face first to the ground. With her free hand, she’ll place her knuckles to the back of their neck and apply an agonizing level of pressure to force a submission. Depending on the opponent, she may instead apply pressure under the ear, the cheek, anywhere dense with bone structure to attack the nerves directly.

Personality: Fujika is an astute, friendly woman always looking to help where she can. Fujika was born to be in police work. It was what her father did and his father before him. It was the first job she ever learned about and what seemed to surround her life from sundown to sunup. She was pushed from the outset to strive for academic excellence and to pick up at least one extracurricular along the way if she were to even have so much as a chance at the academy. She dabbled in a few, but never found one she could call herself particularly dedicated to.

Not until she enrolled at Tokyo University. Her fitness and flexibility made her a perfect fit for the wrestling club. It only took a few practice bouts for Fujika to find her passion. She branched out and started becoming enthralled in professional wrestling, mesmerized by the theatrics and envious of the displays of athleticism. The latest nights at her dorm were spent watching pro-wrestling and reenacting spots with her club partners. She trained with a renewed vigor, with the hope to one day reach the national leagues and compete as a serious athlete.

It wasn't meant to be. Fujika caught the flu the same day of the qualifiers, and her chance to go national disappeared in front of her eyes. She turned her efforts solely to academia, working a solitary, studious slump until she finally graduated.

Not long after, she made her way through the academy and was soon employed by the National Police Agency, assigned to the First Investigation Division of its Criminal Affairs Bureau. From the outset, she’d assume various duties between the numerous divisions, but eventually settled into general operations and unit inspection. For a little over a year, she would assume the responsibility of researching and investigating cases of national concern, even handling sensitive data on an international venture once the process fell within her bailiwick. Her keen eye and remarkably detailed reports slowly but surely saw her ascend the agency ladder. Another couple of years later, she would eventually be appointed to the Commissioner-General’s Secretariat, assisting the Chief Secretary on criminal records from the most critical areas of the country’s infrastructure. A job that was almost all paperwork and would naturally be equal parts boring or anxiec for most people. Fujika, however, couldn’t have been more content with her station in life.

Despite making good money and garnering a wealth of valuable experience, it didn’t take long for Fujika to develop some longing towards being a regular patrolwoman. Stopping criminals on the streets like her father always had and continued to do miles away back home. She managed to get in contact with one of her dad’s partners, freshly retired, but more than willing to sharpen her academy skills. Each day after work, she’d train with everything she had, working her cardio, reflexes, and endurance to get the most out of her techniques as she could.

Eager to put her new skills to the test, Fujika quietly began to renovate her office into a center for private investigations. When inquiries were low, she’d liven up her otherwise drab evenings with a trip to the amateur circuit and for some more intense training under a strong alias. Though she never rose high above the mid-card, her performance gradually increased with each bout and before long she’d honed her skills to a razor’s edge.

This only increased Fujika’s confidence in her private investigations. She began taking on more involved requests of greater risk and of the utmost discretion. Steadily, remaining confidential became the least of her problems as the physical danger of her contracts escalated. Bodyguards and henchmen seemed to lurk around every corner. It wasn’t too uncommon for her to come home littered in bruises, narrowly escaping apprehension by the skin of teeth. Nevertheless, Fujika would find what she was looking for, no matter how far into the dark she needed to tread.

Her late-night antics were eventually noticed. After one of her spars, the gym owner mentioned somebody wanted to see her, she assumed she was walking outside to find her boss demanding her resignation. Instead, she found an AFW scout waiting by her car, a pen in one hand and a contract laid flatly across her hood. Her mind told her to reject the offer. To remain fully committed to her job as an upholder of the law and to keep her hobby just that, a hobby.

Another part of her, however, nudged her towards the offer just as hard. A part of her that had grown considerably throughout her years in the agency. Interest. An organization as politically obscure, yet publicly famed as AFW had always been one of constant scrutiny by the NPA. It cared little for the federation’s more obvious sources of controversy. They could have their talent break skulls and screw each other until the cows come home for all the bureau could care, so long as everyone got their shots and signed their paperwork.

The devil was in the details.

Yakuza, mercenaries, felons, thugs, gang leaders. All cuddled up beneath the same roof of a promotion whose standards of admission were either in constant flux or practically absent, one that promised either glory and great riches or shame and anguish to just about anyone, was destined to cross her desk some day or another. Despite whiffs of a criminal underbelly rising up now and again, the agency had been unable to get close enough for a more...involved investigation.

Until now, it seemed.

Fun Facts:
- Never off the clock. Despite NPA regulations, Fujika considers herself to be a full-time enforcer of the law. She appreciates recompense for her effort, but will take a case of her own volition if it appears critical enough.
- Loves jazz. Her dream has been to take a few lessons in the saxophone and open her own club one day.
- Ambidextrous. She’s mastered the trait since university and can write with relative ease with both hands. Still holds the record for most case reference files reported in a single hour.
- Can’t hold her alcohol too well. One drink has her feeling a bit tipsy, another will either have her black out or seeing double. Never a pretty sight.
