Re: Tasha Jackson vs Makoto Aihara - The Owner's Test
Tasha had just been close, oh-so-close to finish off Makoto for good - just as she had been instructed to. But then something had gone terribly wrong. Exactly what, she couldn't tell - and based on how the situation was developing, she was in grave danger of not being able to tell any time soon. And exactly why was that?
Hit after hit after hit.
Strike after strike after strike.
Smack after smack after smack.
And there was absolutely nothing the Southern Twister could have done to defend herself.
Tasha could still vaguely hear some words from her opponent - something about attitude - but her brain was already too battered to really comprehend. And it only took a few more hits before it stopped recording altogether.
As fast as the tide had suddenly turned against her, Tasha's lights had gone out. Makoto's blunt, brutal strikes had done their job, and ensured that there was going to be no answer received to her last question, no matter how much she would have wished for it.

Re: Tasha Jackson vs Makoto Aihara - The Owner's Test
There was a voice, distant and faint, that called out to Makoto and warned her, told her that she needed to stop doing what she was doing. Her opponent was down, defeated, and there wasn’t any fight left in her. There was no point to continuing. The fight was over, she’d won. Brutality, horrifically, but she’d won.
And yet, she couldn’t bring herself to listen to that voice. She ignored it and, instead, reeled back her fist, took aim, and prepared to-
”Enough!”
The referee leaped to Tasha’s rescue at the last second, pulling them apart in a frenzy of movement and shoving Makoto to the side. The Judo Babe whipped up to her feet, incensed, but resisted the urge to charge back in. Wasn’t worth the trouble.
”She’s out!” The referee threw up her hands, forming an X as the bell rang. ”Medics! Get me medics out here!”
The AFW had a quick responding medical team, getting in gear right away and coming down the ramp, heading to Tasha’s side in a heartbeat. Makoto wasn’t around to see them work, however - she was already on her way up towards the way they came, eyes focused forward, not speaking a word as the crowd looked on with stunned stares...

Re: Tasha Jackson vs Makoto Aihara - The Owner's Test
Tasha was out, and it was painfully obvious to everyone. As was the brutal fact that the ending of this match had been rather anticlimactic. Sure, there had been some fancy moves and skilled fighting earlier on, but how it all eventually ended? A skilled judo-babe simply just brutally punching her opponent's lights out - that surely was a waste of talent.
And then again it wasn't. It had done it's job, with lethal efficiency.
Another person who definitely would not have wanted to witness how it all ended was Tasha Jackson. And as it happened to be, in practice she wasn't even there to witness it all. Not the punches, not the ref girl's panic, not Makoto silently leaving the ring and not the medics checking her condition and carrying her away. Really, it was a blessing.
As long as it wouldn't be rolling on the AFW highlights of the week too many times.
One question remained though. Or two...
Had she done her job? Was the test passed?
Maybe she'd be finding out about that later.
Winner: Makoto Aihara via KO
