Megumi vs Gail

Back in the ring. Well, It'd probably go better than last time, at least she wouldn't have to be fighting frostbite on top of a mountain. Gail slipped on her ringwear. Still the same loose-fitting top and tight pants. But even so, looking at her reflection, she could barely recognize herself in her old promotional picture.

Eh, It was probably just the new haircut.

She hadn't been booked a match in a while... but after several confirmations to her manager that this one wouldn't be some insane fight on a tightrope over a volcano inside hentai wasteland amusement part, Gail had finally agreed.

At least the crowds hadn't changed. They didn't even boo her all too much as her music played and she strut her way down. She had her self-satisfied smirk painted on her lips. "Oh come on ya fucking pervs, don't tell me ya actually missed me?" There were the boos. Gail's grin widened, slouching against the turnbuckle, lazily accepting her not-fans.

Oh right, who was she up against again?

It's good to be back. After a few years on an excursion at Mexico, Megumi Mutoh finally returned to Japan, and AFW welcomed her with open arms. Of course, her return here in AFW had been kept secret that almost nobody knew that she would be wrestling here in the AFW arena for tonight. While there were some rumors circulating the internet wrestling forums, nothing were confirmed, and Megumi thought that a surprise appearance would be nice too.

Megumi's past tenure here in AFW before she moved to Mexico had been rather uneventful. So, she aimed to leave quite an impact here for her reappearance. Already donning her strapless red leotard, Megumi waited for her turn to make her entrance at the gorilla position, crossing her arms as she closed her eyes. During her time at Mexico, she had improved quite a lot, and she made a name for herself there before she returned to Japan. And she looked forward to show everyone what she's made of.

And soon, her entrance music was played, and Megumi made her way out to the ramp, and her sudden appearance took everyone by surprise. Many people were familiar with the Combat Genius herself, but to think that she would show up here in AFW was shocking, to say the least.

Megumi Mutoh:

Smiling confidently, Megumi raised an arm as the crowd popped loudly. Then, she jogged down the ramp, giving some of her fans high-fives as she made her way down to the ring, where her opponent was waiting for her. Soon, she arrived, and she would climb up the apron before slipping under the ropes, entering the ring. She would rouse the crowd some more before she gave a bow to every direction.

The crowd were invigorated by Megumi's appearance, and they were chanting her name. Smiling in satisfaction, Megumi allowed herself to bask in the adoration of the crowd before she took a look at her opponent. Well, whoever she was, Megumi aimed to leave this ring as a victor, and she would show it to everyone why she was called the Combat Genius.

Ah right. Her manager had been talking about a surprise return of someone or other. Apparently some of the crowd was stunned silent - or maybe they didn't recognize her at all. Gail certainly didn't.

Thinking back to it, Gail remembered Megumi taking a leave of absence just around the time she joined. And that had been a few years back, so Megumi must be ancient. "Hey there old lady. Hope you didn't pull your back or anything on your vacation?" Gail smiled at her fellow brunette.

Gail could certainly respect Megumi's drive to keep going for a good part of a decade... but that didn't mean she'd show it. "So after I put you down, are ya gonna take another three years off, or what?"

Well, if there's one thing that was very certain for her, AFW certainly didn't change at all. The promotion never had any shortage for this kind of people, and Megumi didn't know whether to roll her eyes or laugh out loud. Megumi decided to just shrug, though being called ancient was definitely new to her. After all, she wasn't even that old yet. It's just that she started wrestling pretty young back then when she joined Wrestle Angels.

"If that's how you're gonna treat me, then you don't mind if I treat you like a little kid, right?" Megumi shot back, putting her hands on her hips as she smiled at Gail. "C'mon, kiddo... give me your best shot..." she challenged as she waited for the bell to ring. The referee called for the bell, starting the match between Megumi and Gail.

For the start of the match, Megumi would begin by maintaining her distance from Gail, circling her as she would look for an opening that she could take advantage of.

Gail certainly acted like a little kid at times, and her reaction to Megumi's reaction was one such example. "So that makes you some kinda of child predator then?" Gail snarked back, while circling slowly in stance.

But they couldn't both be on the defensive, no one was here to watch two (undeniably sexy) people waltz around the ring. So Gail's impatience would spike and she would step forward, hands still raised, offering a lockup... but if Megumi would accept, Gail would swiftly give her a knee to the gut!

Megumi somehow had gotten tired, and the match hadn't even began yet. She wasn't one to get herself easily irritated, but the girl was slowly getting on her nerves already. Though she kept her focus on the girl, knowing that her opponent was trying to distract her with such a crass comment.

So, when she saw Gail closing in, offering a lock up, Megumi would react in kind before realizing that it was just a trap. Knowing that she had no time to avoid getting her belly kneed, she would try to move behind, hoping to lessen the impact. In retaliation, Megumi would try to grab Gail by her leg, hoping to bring her down with a dragon screw!

Expecting to see Megumi keeled over clutching her gut, Gail had a smirk on her face up to the point Megumi had grabbed her by the ankle.

"Ah?!" The brunette shrieked out, having her sneaky attack totally backfire as she crashed into the mats. She scrambled to get back up, but as her red-clad foe still had her leg, Gail would mostly be trying to kick herself free.

While Megumi still had her grip on Gail's ankle, she planned to twist it in order to deal some damage on said area, but before she could do it, her opponent tried kicking herself free. Grunting, Megumi was forced to let go of her ankle and step away from her opponent.

Rolling her shoulder, Megumi kept her eyes on Gail to see what she would do next. She imagined that the dragon screw would make her realize what kind of opponent Megumi was.

Gail was a touch out of practice, but if she was worried about Megumi, it didn't much show on her body language. After all, the match had barely begun!

Quickly getting back on her feet, the purple-clad fighter would charge forward. Going all out on the aggression, Gail would try and smash her elbow into Megumi's torso, forgoing any and all caution.

Megumi saw Gail closing in towards her, and she could see that she was trying to land an elbow strike right into her torso. The former Wrestle Angel would try to act quicker, taking a step back in order to lessen the blow that she would take from the strike, and as soon as Gail drew closer to her, Megumi would raise both her hands, clasping them together before bringing them down, looking to hit her opponent with a double axe handle.

She would take the elbow strike into her torso, and she would grunt a little from the blow, but she figured that her attempt to strike her opponent would surely deal a greater damage!
