Death figured that was as succinct and concise a response she could offer to Valley's inquiry. Though to be honest it would have been her rebuttal no matter what Valley currently had the courage to say when standing before a particularly irate Reaper Lady. The second headbutt of the night undoubtedly being the most brutal given the slack-jawed inebriation of Valley's posture before ultimately prat-falling backwards. Death ominously standing tall over her with a puffed exhale through her flared nostrils.

"...you dropped a table on me..." Death glibly remarked the obvious, airing out what had her this hellaciously nettled before shooting one of her clawed hands downward to clutch onto Valley's neck. The spiteful grip she utilized to gradually haul the rattled Californian back to her feet, and one she intended to make further use of by hoisting Valley into the air with another clenched hand grasping the side of her pink trunks. Seconds ticking down as cameras flashed from the sight of the Valley girl hanging aloft before ultimately getting meteorically plunged back down to Earth via one helluva chokeslam.

Valley had practically asked for that one. She was woman enough to admit it.

”Several tables, actually.”

The head trauma wasn’t helped her judgment.

She laid there, blinking, stunned, trying to restart her brain and get back into the fight. It had been a bad hit, but she could come back from it. All Valley needed was a little time, which, sad to say, Death Bunny was far too smart to give her. The woman reached down, grabbed her tight by the neck and lifted her up with haunting ease. Distressing as that was, it wasn’t as much so as what came next - she was going down, fast. Too fast.

She hit with thunderous crash, one that left her spread eagled and gasping under the iron grip of her foe. She would’ve been primed for a pin if that was what this match required, but luckily - sort of - Death Bunny would have to do a little more work than that if she wanted to claim the win. Since this match was her request, though, it was safe to say that wasn’t a problem for her.

The only thing that perhaps nettled the Murder Rabbit From Hell more than taking a loss, or being buried beneath piles and piles of progressively heavier pieces of office furniture...was perhaps being corrected on something. Valley was indeed not helping her prospects at all as Death ominously stood tall overhead after deadlifting the pink-tipped Cali-girl into a malicious chokeslam that had the ring reverberating and the audience all around them wincing in sympathy.

"Hrm..."
Death snarled with a clicking of her teeth, forgoing her wrathful inclination towards continuing to reek havoc upon the fallen Valley-girl in favor of keeping her bunny-eared head in the game and listening to her fatigued body. She reached down to flip Valley over and clasp onto the collar of her top from behind and the back of her waist, tugging the Californian along onto her hands and knees towards ringside and the coffin beside it. Prematurely opened by ringside personnel and the ultimate destination for us all, and where Death intended to guide Valley tonight...

God, Valley had almost forgotten how much a well-executed chokeslam could suck. She hadn’t had to suffer through a good one in a while, so that wasn’t the hardest thing to forget. It was so much worse than a regular slam, even if it might’ve seemed like a similar thing at a distance. Having the air crushed out of you, brought down on your upper back, not being able to control your lungs properly in the process, and you know whoever it did, they had a lot of strength to work with…

‘Unpleasant’. That was an understatement, and her current state was a good showing of that. She was so out of it that she barely registered getting flipped over like a pancake, and didn’t key into what was happening until was halfway done - Death Bunny was dragging her to the edge of the ring. To the coffin.

She had to put a stop to that right away, no question. Looking to put the brakes on her fate, Valley reached out and grabbed Death Bunny’s nearest calf, wrapping her arms around it like an unruly child at the candy store. It wasn’t exactly the most dignified tactic, but it would slow her down, make her task that much harder, and it was the best she could come up with at the moment.

The Big Sleep, Last Dance, Closing Time, Final Destination or whatever turn of phrase people had for it nowadays. It was a grim inevitably for us all, and one that Death realized that everyone reacted to differently. Some people are resolute in their understanding of how the world works and peacefully accept whatever next journey lies from them in the great beyond. Death couldn't help but respect those of such steadfast courage and peace of mind, who willingly embrace the unavoidable and demonstrate admirable poise in the end of their existence...because all too often D.B. has to bear with those of a polar opposite ilk...those clinging to life with every fiber of their being.

Much like Valley was illustrating by clambering onto Death's right calf muscle to the point where the Californian dead weight made it a fatiguing slog just to even approach the ropes. Who'd slide along the canvas with every teeth-gnashing step taken by the irritated reaper quite literally taking it all in stride. It'd be downright comical if not for the unsettling grimace Death directed at Valley before hauling the woeful Valerie upward by her golden-haired head until she was standing once again, but with her back to the ropes and coffin just beyond it. Taking the time to hang Val out to dry with her arms slung over the top rope before reeling one hand back for a searing knife-edge chop attempt...

Yes, Valley did look silly clinging to Death Bunny’s leg like an unruly child in a candy store. No, this was not something she would want on her career achievement highlight reel.

At the moment, she couldn’t really bring herself to care. If this was what it took to make sure she stayed in the match, her dignity would just have to take the hit.

And, in her defense, it worked - or seemed to, anyway. Sure enough, Death Bunny wasn’t able to keep her moving to the coffin like this, she had to reach down and haul her back up, reeling back that massive hand of hers to chop the resistance out of the Slamazon. If there was any chance for her to escape her fate, this was it. Here and now.

As the blow came in, Valley slid back against the ropes ducked down to let the blow whiz over her head, then bounced off to push her forward, making her way behind Death Bunny. She stumbled forward as she went and planted her hands on the floor, looking for all the world like she had nearly fallen flat on her face...and that was exactly what happened. But she used that position to her advantage.

With her hands planted firm, Valley lifted her legs up and shot them out behind her, trying to hit Death Bunny with a mule kick aimed at her chest. Or back. Or backside. She didn’t really care so much what she hit with it, so long as it hit something.

One day while driving to the arena on her motorcycle, Death vaguely recalled stopping at a red-light and spying a frazzled mother of three walking down a sidewalk with one of her ankle-biters crying their eyes out and latched to the woman's leg in very much the same manner. It was undignified, to say the very least. And Death did not exactly appreciate being made a fool of. But at the very least it indicated the sheer desperation of the Californian fan favorite, and that the mounting fatigue of the match was making Valley resort to rather unconventional methods of overcoming her current predicaments.

Death was becoming sluggish in her motions as well, exhaustion rearing its ugly head but still not deterring the Dead Woman from rearing back what would be a blistering thwack of a knife-edge chop, which would whiff completely and cause D.B. to lurch over the top rope with her eyes agape at the cushioned interior of the coffin below. Unknowing of the blindsiding mule-kick soon afterward thwacking her against her back and propelling the startled reaper over the ropes but not, into the coffin, to the crowd's gasping surprise. Thank entirely by her left hand clamping onto the top rope, which she'd cling onto as she sat upon the ring apron and started rising back up to her feet...

Valley flopped down after the mule kick and spun about on her back, wanting to see the fruits of her labor right away. Not out of some sense of satisfaction or anything like that, far from it - she half expected Death Bunny to tank the kick and keep coming, even though she could tell her blow struck with solid impact. This woman was downright implacable, and it would not have surprised her to see the Pale Rider just standing there after her kick, tanking it like something out of a horror movie. Terror, shock, dismay, sure? But surprise? Not on the list.

So it was a pleasant sight to see when her kick not only threw Death Bunny for a loop, but sent her careering out of the ring and onto the apron. Not quite into the coffin, no, but hey - progress was progress. She wasn’t about to complain.

Instead, Valley Doll pushed to her feet, steeled herself, and took off in a wild run to the other side of the ring, dashing as fast as her legs would allow. She bounced off the ropes, came up running back to the other side, leaped and turned her body sideways, slipping through the middle and top ropes, right beside the rising Death Bunny. She grabbed the ropes at the last second, making her body swing about in arc, one that had her feet flying towards her opponent’s face - in other words, a Tiger Feint Kick.

Death never really understood the wresting term, educated kicks. Perhaps the greater meaning merely escaped her, but being embroiled within this Iron-Woman of a match with Valley was beginning to have the merchant of death start to formulate an hypothesis or two. Such as how getting thwacked by this Californian's kicks all goddamn night was really started to smart...that last one being no exception as it was only a few inches off from cleaning DB's clock completely and having her become entombed herself. The perilousness of her positioning and how close Death came to losing at her own specialty had caught the breath of stunned onlookers who could now be allowed to breathe. Death regaining some senses as she began tugging upward, one rope at a time.

Death pinched her nose and squinted her eyes to help stop the room from spinning, something that was downright vital if she wanted to stand back up on her own two feet in the next few seconds. For now she remained on one knee beside the coffin with her other arm slung over the middle rope, taking some time to restore her rattled senses on the ring apron when one of her senses started picking up the unsettling sound of pattered sprinting going on around her. The Grim One poked her head up to notice a pink blur before the spry Cali-girl twisted about the ropes and smacked her adversary clean against the side of her face with Val's knee pads, eliciting a battered groan on impact before being propelled back inside the ring. Farther from the casket but now presenting a splayed out and stunned bunny girl, ample breasts heaving with an audience in an uproar from what seemed like catnip to any veteran high-flyer...

Nailed it.

Sort of.

Because the tiger feint was usually done at a different angle with her opponent in a different position, Valley wasn’t quite sure how well it would come off, and as such she nearly had a nasty spill after the impact. Her fingers slipped off the ropes, she fell onto the apron, and only grabbing the ropes at the last second kept her from tumbling onto the casket itself. She made the save, though, looked over and was presented with all-too welcome and rare sight. Death Bunny on her back. Wide open. Easy mark.

Almost too easy. It could be a trick

But then, it might not be.

If she missed, it would put her in a bad spot.

If it hit, she would be in a good position to take control of the match.

...do it.

Valley pulled her way up the ropes, climbing back to her feet. She gripped the ropes tight, then pulled hard on them as she leaped forward. Doing a somersault in midair, she brought her body into the ring with a wide arc, one that ended when she came down on Death Bunny’s head, trying to hit her square with a Slingshot Somersault Leg Drop.
