Strategy: Shin is a trained fighter who for most of her life battled with the intention of killing. It was less of a choice and more of a necessity. Once she moved from the North, however, much of her former training needed to be repurposed to urban society. While most of her close-quarters specialization has remained mostly untouched, a focus on restraining submissions and takedowns are newer additions. She is a highly reactionary combatant who turns her opponent's weight and momentum against them to create openings or wrap-on holds.

While not a focused striker, as Lepori her kicks are especially powerful, making her hit far and away harder than most any unarmed strike she can muster. Making full use of her natural abilities, she uses her speed and jumping prowess to better position herself and attack opponents by closing wide gaps fast or coming in from high awkward angles to keep her opponents off balance. She in matches that allow it, she will make use of weapons at any given opportunity, flexing her combat training to dispatch her foes with her swordsmanship.

• Lethal Legs: Lepori possess superhuman levels of strength in their legs, earning them a place among some of the most dangerous kickers found within the bestial races found on Gaia. This allows them to land crushing blows, lift impressive weights, or leap wide or high distances with relative ease.
  
  
• Enhanced Hearing: With such pronounced ears, it’s easy to imagine the Lepori have exceptional hearing. Able to pick up even the faintest of sounds, it's been a longstanding rumor that it's incredibly difficult to lie to the Lepori as they can hear a person’s heart rate change. With such acute a sense however, comes sensitivity. Extremely loud noises or some high pitched frequencies have adverse effects on Lepori. This has led to many actively plugging their ears when out in public to deaden their sense of hearing slightly.
  
  
• Enhanced Smell: While not considered to be as remarkable as more canine bestial creatures within Gaia, Lepori have an increased sense of smell when it comes to many humanoids.
  

Weapons Training: Shin is a bladed weapon specialist. She is most comfortable with a weapon in her hand, capable of augmenting her fighting through the use of cryomancy.

Cryomancy: Shin is well-versed in the practice of ice magic and its applications both inside and outside of combat. This can range from conjuring up physical items out of moisture in the air, to summoning full-on blizzards within a set area. The spells and their applications all come with a variety of gestures, vocal chants, or material components needed to cast them and the concentration required to maintain many of them.

Personality: Shin is a bit of a tough nut to crack. Curt, is sarcastic, and openly cold to most people, it's very easy for most people to outright dismiss her as an uptight buzzkill with no sense of fun. She came up in a place where emotional attachments were unwise, where at any moment someone you were friends or family with could be taken from you in an instant. It led to her closing up and becoming guarded to keep such connections from forming. Though far from the Northern Reach, it still clings to her simply because it's all she knows.

Deep down deep beneath her prickly exterior is someone who, despite wanting people to think otherwise, had a rather kind heart. Only her closest allies and confidants are privy to this side of her… or were until she joined her mercenary band. Not that things like taverns are more easily accessible, she often fills her off duty hours buried in a glass of alcohol, a bit less tight lipped after loosening up a bit. Members of her mercenary group, fellow proven warriors, and people in she personally feels are worthy of her time and company get a rare peek into the woman she would like to be if not held back by her bad habits.

History:

In the Northern Reach, you learn to survive. While infighting between other bestial races is not uncommon, most set aside their racial differences for the joint threat of what lurks far past civilization. Those corrupted by the rotblood beasts who shamble the mountain passes or worse still, the mountain eaters that burrow below the snowdrifts with gaping maws of magma, creating vast networks of winding tunnels in their never ending pursuit of food to consume. It's no place to raise a child, let alone a whole litter.

Born into the chaos of the Northern Reach, she was raised to be a fighter. Possessing an aptitude for both sword and sorcery, her training was given a high priority to help nurture her talents. She trained up alongside primarily the Ursine and Lupine cadets, though her size or strength was never called into question. They were all brothers and sisters of battle, no species defined them, only the call of the North to safeguard the realm.

Upon completion of her training, she joined up with a unit of Outriders, routinely traveling into the wastes on hunts to curve the rotblood incursions or descending into the depths of mountain eater tunnels to slay the creatures before they reached outlying settlements. She became a decorated member of her unit, slowly building up enough funds along with some of her fellow Outriders to form their own mercenary band and leave the North behind.

Her mercenary group was hired into a cushy job within the Arbra Vale, one of Gaia’s largest commerce hubs for the bestial races. Here she spent most of her days training and performing rather mundane guard duties in service to the Tenderpaw family. Her easy days hit a small snag though when her client's daughter Tam decided she wanted to travel the world and become some sort of warrior… Shin drew the short stray and became her babysitter. What did that mean for her? Apparently following her client’s daughter off to some sort of combat league… It had been a while since Shin really got into a scrap. Hopefully, she wasn’t rusty.

Fun Facts:

Tea Aficionado: Shin collects teas from around Gaia and beyond. While she personally prefers flavors with a bit of bitter bite to them, she still appreciates the more sweet or exotic tastes.

Don't Touch Those: Beyond the sensitivity innate to Lepori ears when it comes to auditory stimulation, they are just as sensitive to touch. While she won't admit to enjoying gentle affections like this, nothing gets her swooning faster. As long as there isn't any life-threatening situation at hand, it's the quickest way to her heart.

Heat Hater: Born in the cold, it isn't really any surprise she is more used to cooler climates. She dislikes heat and humidity, finding it very uncomfortable. In the privacy of her own home she will normally not burden herself with many layers when its especially hot.

Don't Judge: Carrot cake is a guilty pleasure.
