Flight of the Valkyries Rareta St. Helen vs La Mariposa

After being pushed off of the butterfly luchadora, Rareta would roll away into the corner. She needed a small rest after that flurry of moves and of course her body was so sore. Hopefully she would get a second to recover. If she got that she would then climb to her feet before warily beginning to circle La Mariposa.

Mariposa may have been stunned slightly from the cutter, but it wasn’t nearly enough to make her give up yet! Instead after shoving Helen off of her, the luchadora would try to roll to her feet as quickly as possible. There she would see her opponent doing the same. Now hoping to get the momentum turned back into her favor, Mariposa would rush forwards and try to slam her feet into Helen’s back with a surprise dropkick.

When Rareta saw her opponent charge, she did the same, trying to meet her opponent before she could attack. So at the same time that Mariposa launched her kick, Rareta was leaping up for a dropkick of her own. The two kicks met in mid-air and Rareta went tumbling back, the problem with being small is that her attacks are almost always weaker than her opponent's. But after her tumble she was up almost immediately ready to use the ropes to spring into the air if the butterfly came at her

It seemed that Helen was ready for her when Mariposa charged towards her. Jumping up at the same time she did and causing both of their feet to clash together in an incredible double dropkick. However it was only thanks to Mariposa’s larger physique that she came out on top in the end. Managing to drop back fine on her knees whilst her opponent tumbled. Hoping to take advantage, the luchadora would charge forward once again and try to hit her with a kick to the side of the head.

Rareta like the gymnast that she had trained to be, grabbed hold if the middle rope like a set of parallel bars. She managed to just barely hoist herself out of the way and flipped over the butterfly, landing on the other side and finishing with the traditional pose of a gymnast finishing her routine. The audience was on the edge of their seats as they watched the two perform ever increasing feats of acrobatics and Rareta even heard some cheers for her (a sound she never expected to hear) and took just a moment to wave in the direction the sound was coming from before turning and chopping at the space where La Mariposa was last seen.

Mariposa’s foot swung in a wide rotating arc. Carrying the power to knock Helen’s lights out if it landed in the right spot. Yet just at the last second, the pinkette managed to leap out of the way. Forcing the luchadora to spin her whole body around to kill off her momentum before she lost her balance. Turning her head just in time to see her opponent finish her pose and swing around with her arm aimed of a chop! Acting completely on instinct, Mariposa would drop back first onto the canvas with her knees to her chest. Before shooting her legs out in a double kick aimed straight for Helen’s unprotected belly!

With a grunt, the pose of victory became the stomach holding pose of pain. She was able to escape, time and time again. The problem was that she wasn't able to get any offense going for more than a few seconds. It was becoming a real problem as Rareta was beginning to feel her reserves start to diminish. So as she backed up, she would try to go high, springing off the ropes to hit her opponent with a flying elbow

Yes! Her kick landed true and slammed into Helen’s belly with incredible force! Shoving the pink haired high flyer back and giving the luchadora some much needed breathing room. Quickly she would try to roll up to her feet and get back into position. And just in time too as she would see Helen run towards the ropes and spring off them! Shooting towards the luchadora with her elbow aimed for her skull! But Mariposa was ready and would duck down and catch her opponent in her arms. Only so she could use her momentum to fall back and drill Helen headfirst into the canvas with a pseudo German suplex!

Too late, Rareta realized what was happening and tried to avoid it, but momentum was a cruel mistress and what should have been the start of offense became the beginning of the end and her head connected to the mat with a loud thud, laying the pinkette out flay, stunned

In a split second, the luchadora had used Helen’s own momentum against her and had instead reversed her attack into one of her own. The canvas banged loudly as the pinkettes head and shoulders hit the canvas from Mariposa’s suplex. The luchadora would then let the pinkette go, but only so she could twist herself around and cover Helen as the referee slid in for the count.
