La Mariposa vs. Succubus Manabe - Vida Americana

Tiny legs, tiny arms? Nope: tiny lungs. That was her killer.

Succubus was never going to be a marathon woman. She didn’t do Ironwoman matches and she didn’t take a lot of blows, even with all her training. So many times, her below-par endurance was just another obstacle between her and the championship gold.

Mariposa probably felt like she’d just done a front flip onto a whoopie cushion. The imp’s lips appropriately fluttered with the weight of her opponent crushing her ribcage all at once. Limp on the floor, she was focused on breathing in and out as easily as possible. That ended up being a lot harder than usual when she suddenly lost control of her legs. Succubus looked down just in time to see the American tying her legs into the most dreaded leg locks of them all.

The figure-four. She just about had time to scream.

“Fuuu-! Can you freaking nooooooooootttttt?!!” Succubus yelled and slapped at the mats. The bolts of lightning struck her legs and practically through her body into a spasm. She growled and started to push towards the ropes, though she was hardly getting anywhere with this heavier woman attached to her like an anchor.

Something told the luchadora that her pink haired opponent didn’t enjoy her position at the moment. Understandable really given that the glittering butterfly was currently in the process of what looked to be fracturing Succubus’s legs in a brutal figure four hold. Using her leverage to increase the pressure on the pinkette’s crossed legs.

Despite being breathless From mariposa’s earlier drop onto her belly. Succubus still had enough air to scream as she began to frantically claw and writhe against the canvas. Eventually deciding to try and escape by use of the ropes! Though the luchadora wouldn’t make her journey any easy for her as she would make her to lay her full weight on the canvas.

This sucks. This sucks. This sucks. This sucks. This sucks. This sucks.

Succubus was not having a good time.

If the sweat pooling down her crimson-flushed face wasn't enough to show that, the scratch marks left behind as her nails dug into the canvas would be more than enough. Never a powerhouse even in her heyday, trying to drag the deadweight of a diehard luchadora across the canvas was nothing short of Herculean for her. Mystic was probably watching this and getting a kick out of her suffering (She was), but if anything, that was more motivation to not let this be the quickest match of her career.

It took every scrap of muscle and energy that she had in the tank, but the kawaii girl was just able to make it. Her fingertips reached out and tried to tap the bottom rung. If she was able to get out of the hold, Succubus would take a long breath of relief and fall flat onto her face, breathing into the canvas. Her leg was killing her, but at least she was free. For now.

The tiny pinkette was frantic to escape the luchadora’s hold. Mariposa could see it written all over her face, the desperate crawling towards the ropes as the butterfly added more pressure for every inch of ground Succubus might’ve gained. Yet progress was unfortunately being made and soon enough Mariposa would forced to finally release the hold as Succubus finally managed to snag a rope break.

So with a small roll of her eyes and an exaggerated sigh, Mariposa would untangle her legs and finally free her opponent from the torturous hold she had trapped her in. But that didn’t mean the butterfly was going to let the pinkette take a break and recover, oh no. She bend down and dragged Succubus back up to her feet and would whip her into the nearby corner, primed for more punishment from the masked luchadora.

A little more…a little more…there!

Succubus was going to have to face the fact that getting over this ring rust wasn't going to be as easy as she thought. Deep down, the redhead had hoped it would be as simple as rolling onto the stage and banging out moves left and right. Her mind had each movement down to the last detail. But as she lay there, burning up under the stagelight and hearing the audience cry for blood, Manabe was wishing she’d taken her roommate’s advice and broken out that gym membership.

Mariposa wasn’t lacking in the physicality department. Even if Succubus wasn’t struggling to get that inch above five feet tall, she could tell that the luchadora would have handled her with ease all the same. Good technique, good power, and even better follow-through.

Her opponent took a page out of Succubus' book and kicked the impish fighter while she was down. Or, in this case, picked her up and threw her into the nearest corner. The Wrestle Angel cried out as her back hit the turnbuckles, leaving her dazed with both arms slumped uselessly over the middle ropes.

And it was through great effort, and lots of pain. But Succubus was eventually able to reach the ropes and in doing so, freedom. So it was with great reluctance that Mariposa would finally release her hold on the poor pinkettes legs and allow Succubus to get some relief from the agony she was just in.

But not for long, as the luchadora would immediately pounce on her once more and drag her up to her feet and whip her into a nearby corner with such force that the cage walls rattled. From there, the glittering butterfly would take a running start before charging straight towards the hopefully still stunned Succubus.

If all went well, Mariposa would leap into the air with her knees shooting out. Intent on slamming into Succubus’s chest with a running double knee strike. But Mariposa wouldn’t be done for when she was falling back down, she would wrap her hands around the back of Succubus’s head and tilt herself backwards. So when mariposa back would hit the canvas, her legs would shoot up and throw the pinkette head over heels in a speedy monkey flip!
