Debut Match- Diana Vs. Ingrid

Diana was about to quickly get up and follow Ingrid after her successful strike, but the boot to the gut stopped her momentum before she could even start. So she retreated instead, rolling backwards and getting up, while holding her gut with one hand. Ingrid managed to do a number to her there, and her stomach was still sore.

Soon though Diana settled back into her fighting stance, and slowly advanced. She didn't want Ingrid to get the better of her again, keeping a more defensive position this time.

Ingrid was finally able to catch her breath. Her mouth was still open and she panted softly but she wasn't haggard any more. As Diana approached, Ingrid pushed her chest out and grinned. She slapped her chest with her fist and bent her knees eyed Diana fiercely. "Have at ye!" She exclaimed and darted forward to try and lock up with Diana in a test of strength.

Diana was sure that a test of strength wouldn't end well for her. She was trained in Muay Thai, and that was designed to be a fast striking based fighting style, not a grappling strength based style! But there was no way she could avoid the test of strength, so she moved in and locked up with Ingrid, her hands grabbing Ingrid's and keeping the girl back as best as she could. She was lucky that Ingrid left herself completely open though. Feeling herself get pushed back, Diana thought fast and quickly let her arms loose while jumping up, trying to send a powerful knee right into Ingrid's gut!

Ingrid smirked as she felt a surge of power run through her muscles. She would push this girl back and down to the ground. On her knees! But even as she felt her strength begin to overpower Diana, she felt the kick slam into her gut. She pulled away and collapsed to her knees, clutching her stomach. It was the second hard kick she had taken there and aside from being winded once more, there was an intense pain shooting up through her stomach. With a pained expression that she couldn't hide, she threw her arms out, away from her stomach and growled at Diana. "F-feels g-good. Do it again!" She snapped and forced her mouth into a smile.

After that fast and powerful kick, Diana quickly flipped backwards to land on her feet. It seemed to wind Ingrid a bit, and the pain was showing on her face now. Still the girl kept her veneer of strength, enjoying the pain. Diana was going to change that. As Ingrid threw her arms out, leaving herself open, Diana jumped in and sent another powerful kick straight at Ingrid's gut again, hoping this time the girl wouldn't smile from the pain. It was starting to grate on her pride a little bit.

Ingrid coughed as the kick slammed into her gut again. She fell to her hands and knees and looked down at the mat, panting with blurry vision. Her mouth hung open and a trail of saliva coated her lips and began to drip off her mouth as she heaved heavy gasps. She shakily began to crawl towards Diana. There was no smile on her face as she lifted up her head and looked at Diana. She haggardly looked at the girl and winced but still spat out thew words. "Still... feels... good..." It was an obvious ly there wasn't even a sense of truth in her words but she still said it. She dug her fingers into the mat and continued to crawl towards Diana as though she had some sort of plan of attack.

Diana was almost angry now at her opponent's persistance. "Why don't you just stay down!" Diana roared, every bit as loud as Ingrid, as she raised one leg high above her head. She brought it down on Ingrid's back, a powerful axe kick delivered with all her strength, and with gravity helping it along.

Ingrid was in a bad way at the moment. As much as she wanted to take the axe kick as Diana lifted her leg up high into the air, she knew she could not afford to. Something like that would put her out for sure. But Diana's shout and high kick were so telegraphed that even Ingrid was able to roll out of the way. Leaping to the side, she managed to scramble to her knees and looked up panting. She couldn't just be a wall, she had to put some offense up as well but she had to pull Diana into that positioning first.
