Serena Light vs Claire O'Doherty

"...offfh..." Serena grunted as she felt Claire's punch hit her stomach in order to try and pry her off, thankfully she didn't get a second hit in as the ref stepped in to seperate them.

Claire seem to have settled down and she was somewhat grateful for that. When Claire danced back, she took the intiative and went on the attack. She charged forth with a heavy right arc swing. If Claire dodged that, she would immediately step forth to deliver a downward uppercut to her chin hoping that a sudden wild heavy movement would catch her off guard.

Clare wasn't surprised by her opponent exploiting the offensive rest Clare opted to take. Clare saw her opponents initial punch, making dodging it seem easy. She took the uppercut however, it sent pain through her jaw and to the rest of her head, that was the first extremely solid punch of the fight, and though clare might have been taller, she was hardly much heavier. Serena very well could have been stronger, though it was debatable. All Clare knew was that the shot hurt. She wouldn't let Serena exploit this however. She took a guarding stance, having a defensive tactic in mind. She would wait for Serena to strike, then she would attempt to slap the punch down, hopefully forcing a moment of vulnerability on her opponent.

"Got-cha!" Serena would happily taunt her when her uppercut hit her chin and snaped her head upwards. Yet Claire recovered to quickly, and took a guarding stance before she could follow up. Still she wasn't going to just this chance go. Stepping forward, she threw a one-two jab combo followed by a feint as she crouched down before throwing a heavy straight right to Claire's stomach. She was going to try and double her over with the heavy straight, seeing how effective her uppercut was, she knew her punches was able to hurt Claire badly if she got in a few more hits.

Clare took the next two punches, they came in hard and fast, but it was nothing intolerable. Serena had sought to fake Clare out again, but Clare had take enough hits to make her work a bit harder. She already could tell, this fight would be more of a challenge than her past ones. Still, Clare was able to read the girls plan this time, deciding she'd show her own strength again, she used her right fist to slap aside Serena's punch. If it worked to it's desired effect, Serena would be open, and Clare would ram a sledge hammer left hand to the side of her opponents head, still trying to give Serena something to think about.

Serena thought for a moment that her plan was going to work when her two punches slipped past her guard and hit her face. However that made her cocky and when she threw her right, Claire suddenly slapped her fist downwards. Her eyes widen in surprise just as Claire's left hand ramed a sledge hammer into her cheeks.

"Rugh!!" She cried out as her face snapped to the side spiiting out saliva as she stumbled backwards a bit.

The impact jared her vision a bit and left her a dazed for a second. 'Ouch. That really hurts. She took those punches just to let me drop my guard for a second.' She was impressed with Claire's plan, and realized that perhaps she could try that as well.

Clare came in strong again, not taking any chances, she strafed to the left as Serena staggered right, she moved primarily to disorient Serena when she was focusing on her again. Hopefully, she'd fire her cocked right to Serena's chin and get to work on dazing her further. If her punch landed, she would move to bull the smaller boxer to the corner again.

As Serena was still dazed from the sledgehammer, she barely managed to make out the direction Claire came from, however that wasn't enough as a dazed vision made her raised her guard in the wrong direction.

"Ompg..." She cried out as she closed her eyes while her head snapped backwards again when she received another punch to her chin courtesy of Claire. She stumbled backwards a bit more towards the corner, without realizing it.

Clare took the opportunity, glad she was making solid contact with Serena now. As mean as it seemed, she enjoyed punching her, her petite size made her something of a novelty. Well, she would have been a novelty, except for the fact that she was still pretty dangerous. Clare wanted to disarm her opponent a bit first, if she could simply force her to the corner, she would fire off a number of stomach punches, mostly focusing on power.

Serena dazed from all the punches was unable to react properly in time as Clare's fist smashed into her stomach. She doubled back immediately from the first blow but Clare followed up, not relenting in the slightest as she continued to pound away at her stomach. Each punch to her stomach left her more and more winded.

"Gug...hugh...ruhg..." She grunted with each blow, as she clutched her stomach. She realized she had to do something, and quickly, she could tell she was near the corner.

Trying to fight through the pain, she tried to shoot forth and cinch with her opponent, if she was able to do so, she would try to give her a few pucnhes to her stomach as well, hoping to stop her before she throws out.

Clare continued to press on, she'd send out a fist as the clinch came, not knowing whether it even hit, as she was preoccupied with the tie up. Clare was impressed with Serena's ability to stop her momentum. Clare didn't see the punches coming as she was trying to shake the clinch off. Clare gasped as a few punches got to her firm stomach. She would break free without the referee's assistance and try shocking Serena by immediately coming out of the clinch with a two-punch combination of a right and left uppercut, fired in swift succession.
