Re: Royal Rumble?
Why not use DICE?
Make it random.
Every 6 posts a random number is picked and that person gets eliminated.
30 people. 29 Eliminations. 29x6=.... lets me pick my calculator... where is the fucking calculator in windows?! 174 posts...
ok... people need to be eliminated faster... but faster than 6 psots?!

Re: Royal Rumble?
don't worry, I assure people that Adrian's innevitable attempts at trying to Flair this Rumble will not be too boring.

Re: Royal Rumble?
The entrances would be mostly random...
I suppose if there really WAS enough interest in it, then maybe even multiple characters from members could be used.
But I am telling you RIGHT NOW, I have thought this out quite a bit and doing it the way I layed out is really the only way it's going to have any sort of success.

@Tatyina
I would also not take part in it, just commentate it with Ise.
The problem with a really short and random time is probably that many people won't bite for the concept then and you have a match without easy to pick, semiactive "Jobbers", just a bunch of superhyped posters who will get extra butthurt if they are taken out only for the sake of space, even if posts were good and in rapid time(I probably would). I would therefore give at least a set time of 3 days(people get ill/job etc etc) to post. I thought of the time with a gaze of the EC too, but we were talking about 3+ weeks of nothing there. That would be 90 days with 30 participants, 3 months if everyone has to be kicked instead of being eliminated, and that surely won't happen. EC is running for how long right now, 4+ Months?
Maybe look at is as a test baloon for a rumble mods can plan, see what sinks or swims? It takes place on a B Level PPV anyway.
@Kitten
I thought(in general) about dice too. Peoples numbers are absolutely selected with a random dice roll, lady luck should decide when you come in.

Re: Royal Rumble?
I think you're missing what I am saying.
You just don't set a time when people are added. You add them when it seems convenient. And you don't just eliminate something because they haven't posted in an hour either.
If there's a lull in the action, ADD a member. If there are too many members and it's starting to clusterfuck, you remove a member or two.
The idea isn't to completely micromanage the the match, but you still have to keep it very strictly moderated.
someone could get away with not posting for a few days if there was a steady stream other posts going on. But I wouldn't let them use that steady stream of posts to try and get an advantage either by just NOT posting.
and, i already KNOW what sinks and swims, I've planned PLENTY of group events in my day. Why should we waste the members time with something that is just going to fail. And why should we expect them to be interested in a NEW one when the first one went to shit?

Re: Royal Rumble?
Something exciting is fine. But as far as a Royal Rumble goes, that's the kind of thing I would probably avoid, just due to my own tastes. Too many people getting involved in a match at one time is just too much for me. :X

Re: Royal Rumble?
It's been discussed in the past. It would require structure and teamwork beyond what we are capable of. My bet goes on "doesn't go well".

Re: Royal Rumble?
Well, why don't we have a smaller match like a 1v1v1v1 match? with the same rules?

Re: Royal Rumble?
Hm, Tatyina has obviously already put a lot of thought in that. And to tell you the truth, I am unable to organize it in the way suggested. It's not like I don't believe it doesn't work in that way, it's just not my type of organisation.
Anyway, thanks for putting down the information about the rumble itself. " title="Very Happy" />
