Kyo Akamatsu vs Mindy Priest

Kyo rolled back up to his knees, noting the way Mindy was now sprawled against the corner post. A part of him felt a little guilty for using such a brutal move, but he knew better than to try going easy on an opponent. At the very least, Mindy now knew not to underestimate him.

"Sorry about that," he whispered as he leaned over his fallen opponent, grabbing her by the arm to help pull her to her feet. He wasn't about to give her any time to recuperate, however, as he would quickly use the grip on her arm to whip her into the nearby ropes, before using the rebound to whip her across the ring...

Mindy winced as she got up to her knees, putting a hand on her sore tailbone. After enduring such a big move, her recovery was a bit slow, so she was surprised but glad to have a little help getting to her feet. "Ah... thanks- WAH!" But Kyo's grip on her arm suddenly got more forceful again, and before Mindy could wrench herself away she was irish whipped all the way to the other side of the ring.

Bouncing off the ropes, she was hurtled back towards Kyo, but she wasn't just going to wait for him to attack this time; she had seen how well that had turned out. As she ran towards him, she prepared her right arm, swinging a hard clothesline at his head once she got close enough.

Coincidentally enough, Kyo had also been planning an attack the moment Mindy bounced back. Only it wasn't a clothesline.

As Mindy came bouncing off the ropes, Kyo held his breath, pushing out of his mind the fact that Mindy had actually been grateful for his assistance. Running forwards to meet the rebounding muscle girl, he would suddenly spin his body around, rotating around with practiced ease and whipping his leg around, aiming to surprise Mindy with a sharp mule kick to either her chest or face.

Even as she prepared her clothesline, Mindy knew that Kyo was setting up some move of his own, but since she didn't know what it was she could only hope to get him before he could get her. However, this was not meant to happen right now, as Kyo rotated and got his head out of the muscle girl's reach; worse of all, she spotted his boot hurtling towards herself far too quickly for her to simply dodge it.

Reacting on instinct, she protected her face by putting one arm before it; this was enough to block Kyo's mule kick, luckily, but the force of the impact was still enough to send her back to the mat. With a grunt, she fell down, but without wanting a second tried to get back to her feet before Kyo could jump on her.

Kyo felt his boot collide with something solid as he launched his kick. Success, he thought as he heard her crash to the mat, and spun around, hoping to follow up on the attack with a pinfall attempt. He saw that Mindy had indeed been floored-- giving him a good view of her fit body that made him blush a little-- but she was clutching her arm, which quickly told Kyo that she had blocked the hit in time. More importantly, she was already scrabbling up to her feet. Time, he thought, for Plan B.

Closing in quickly with Mindy, Kyo made to grab for the arm she had tried to block him with, all the while watching her other arm and her legs for any counter she might make. If he made the grab, then he would quickly twist his body around and drop low to flip her to the mat in a classic judo toss. If he managed that, then he would follow up by locking both arms around her own arm and press his knees down against her shoulder to lock her arm tightly in an armbar.

As she tried to get up, Mindy felt her arm being grabbed by Kyo. She pulled back, wanting to wrench it free, but a sting of pain made her flinch for a moment, as her arm was still aching from the earlier kick. This gave Kyo the split second he needed to make his move on the rookie before she could get away.

Once again, Mindy was flipped to the mat. She groaned and rolled to her front, wanting to get up, but Kyo still had a grip on her arm; he wasn't done with her yet. Her attempts to rise were stopped as Kyo planted a knee on her shoulder, forcing her back to the mat on her front, and pulled her arm up in a painful angle. The moment she got locked in this position, Mindy knew what was coming - as she had been forced to tap out of it several times during her training sessions - but that didn't help to make it any less painful, as her muscles were slowly hyperextended.

Mindy knew she needed to get out fast. Most of the fight so far had taken place near the ropes, so the muscle girl wasn't very far away from them. Mindy would try to crawl to the ropes, wanting to get a break before the armbar became too painful. Even if she couldn't crawl very fast with Kyo on top of her, she still tried to advance quickly; every second counted.

Kyo's move worked, as Mindy was flipped over onto her front. Though Mindy knew it not, her rolling onto her front made it that much easier for him to press a knee down on her shoulder, and made the ensuing armbar that much more painful as he wrenched her arm back. Holding his breath, he locked the hold tightly, leaning back to apply more pressure to the hold. He was rewarded by feeling Mindy's powerful body buck underneath him and start the painful crawl towards the ropes.

Even if Mindy didn't know it, Kyo's aim wasn't to make the muscle girl tap out-- he had a feeling that it would take more than this to make Mindy tap. What he did want to do, though, was wear her arm down. He wasn't going to win in a straight up contest of strength, but if he wore away her limbs and made them sore, then at the very least he would make it harder for her to fight him effectively. And so as Mindy crawled towards the ropes, Kyo would maintain the hold, punishing her arm until she finally grabbed the bottom rope-- at which point he would quietly release her arm and take a step away from her.

Mindy crawled and crawled, buckling her body along her way to the ropes, trying to make Kyo's hold just a little looser - but the man didn't lose his balance, and every inch she got closer to her escape also earned her another pull on her arm. Gritting her teeth, she ignored the growing tension on her limb and kept moving.

In the end, she didn't have to cover that much of a distance, but even a couple of feet are a lot to cover with only one free arm and someone weighting you down. She extended her hand to the bottom rope and grabbed it firmly, not letting go of it until Kyo got off her. Once she was free, she would then use it to pull herself up, rotating her sore shoulder and trying to mitigate the pain that still lingered in it. Of course, she would also keep an eye on Kyo as he got up; she didn't want to be caught off-guard.

Kyo, on the other hand, kept his distance as Mindy pulled herself up, keeping an eye on her the whole time. Admittedly, he found himself admiring the girl's tenacity, but winning this match against her had to come first and foremost. Despite this, he wasn't so desperate for a win that he was going to attack his opponent while she was pulling herself up.

As Mindy finally stood up, Kyo gave her a wordless nod and began to circle her, readying himself for the continuation of their fight. Mindy probably knew by now that Kyo wasn't someone to be underestimated...which meant she would probably be a little more dangerous now.

As she felt the blood flow back into her arm, Mindy watched Kyo, but he didn't make a single move. Wasn't he going to attack? Well, Mindy couldn't say she wasn't glad of that, but part of her wished that Kyo hadn't given her this breather - he had already shown he was more than capable of bringing her down to the mat, so she would have to fight back without hesitation, and it was hard to do so when her opponent was nice to her like that.

Mindy nodded back to Kyo, in silent agreement, and slowly got closer to him. Her arm was a little sore, but it would take more than a single armbar to disable it; she could fight just fine. She raised her arms as she approached, offering a test of strength. However, if Kyo accepted, Mindy would pull him close as soon as his hands locked with hers, wanting to overpower him quickly and trap him under her armpit in a headlock.
