Re: Batman v. Superman
This movie wasn't bad. It had some good things going for it and some bad things going for it. We live in a time where we not only want top-of-the-line special effects, but demand it. Any blockbuster is going to literally awe you. Saying that, I did not lose my sense of wonder at this movie. Everything felt tight, and cool, and dare I say, organic.
Secondly, the acting. The main actor here was a little wooden, but that is something we have come to respect and appreciate. No one is going to win an Oscar which falls in line with realistic expectations of this movie but it was enough to get the job done. The plot seemed a bit far-fetched (what an odd place to put a bomb and an odd way to do it) and that spoiled some of the fun, but when the bus jumps over the highway, you are on the edge of your seat.
Wait, no.
That is Speed.
With Keanu Reeves.

The fight scene was nice.
I'm just saying I think some explanation was warranted - maybe something were Batman pieces together that she's an Amazon or at least gives some hint as to her origin or what she is. It's fine for people like us who are familiar with the characters, but i can't help but feel like someone who doesn't keep up with comics would be left in the dark.
And I think there was a lot of that in this film, too, not just with Wonder Woman. For instance...
- Spoiler:
- The scene were Flash shows up and gives Bruce a warning. I get what that means and what it's hinting at, but if you don't keep up with comics at all you'd have no idea what was going and you'd probably just think it was another weird dream sequence.
There's nothing wrong with setting up or hinting at future movies, but you shouldn't be so focused on doing that that you neglect to make the core movie you have coherent, and that's what it felt like here, to me.

They gave hints on who she was.
Did you miss the whole part with the photograph from 1918? @_@
I'll agree with the Flash bit though. That part was awkward as fuck.

Yeah they didn't feel like they were trying to appeal to people who weren't already a part of the DC demographic, which is mistake for a big movie.

It still broke all kinds of box office records though. Already the fourth best opening weekend ever, so... :P

My thoughts about the movie after watching it:
Also, I was wondering if they were going to pull off a marvel and have an after credit scene but alas no.
- Spoiler:
- I just watch this movie and I felt it didn't know what it wanted to do. I was also very disappointed how Batman was portrayed. I mean how many people did he kill? Not to mention he also goes around branding people. Also how and why was Lex given clearance to alien tech? Did Lex even have a plan on how to take down Doomsday?

Re: Batman v. Superman
- Spoiler:
The movie felt way too rushed to me. Plus with the ending it has screwed over future superman sequels. How do the stakes get any bigger after that? Why should the audience care if there is no risk to the protagonist? Superman died already, so it's not like they are gonna kill him AGAIN when braniac or mongol comes in. I lost count at about 17 people Person for Batman killing. Snyder should not be in charge of these characters.
Lex was by far the worst character of the film. Jesse was just playing Jesse, not Lex. Annoying and painful to watch.

One thing that's been bugging me about this movie, and I can't quite figure it out: What, exactly, was Lex Luthor's plan?
