Full Squared Circle

Alaina tried to rise and turn, but as she did she felt the force of the kick on the back of her knee and she grit her teeth, trying her best to surprise a howl of pain as the amazon crumpled down to the mat holding her knee!

Alaina knew Valley was going to keep up on the attack so she tried to use her arms to quickly drag herself away to create space. Alaina tried to rise up to her feet only succeeding in stumbling forward onto her hands and knees. This was not good, not good at all. She slapped the mat as she tried to create more space by crawling from Valley.

Valley’s kick landed right on target, and if she'd had any doubts about her strategy’s effectiveness, the cringeworthy howl that Alaina made was enough to put them to rest. The current champion had the former one back on the defensive, and she was going to do her very best to make sure she stayed there.

Valley stepped back after she landed the strike, wanting to maintain some distance to keep herself safe. A cautious maneuver, but wholly unnecessary as it turned out. She was down, crawling away, open and vulnerable, and she only needed a moment before she was off and taking advantage of it.

Valley dashed off to the side with a stumbling step, her hurt back slowing her down just a bit as she moved to the ropes. She bounced off to to build up some momentum, then took off hard towards Alaina, moving as fast as her aching feet could go.

She waited until she was close, then threw her body into a forward roll, letting her feet fly through the air, up, over and down, arching towards the back of Alaina’s head with a somersault leg drop.

Alaina was about to rise up when the acrobatic leg drop came crashing down on the top of her head, sending her face straight down into the mat! Alaina groaned and laid there on her stomach in a daze, slowly bringing her hands up to her now throbbing face! Alaina laid there still out of it trying to recover and make it to her feet.

However,r at the moment the best she could do was slowly work her way up to her knees, her hands still covering her face. She swayed in place a bit as she tried to shake off the fog that plagued her vision. She was in a very bad spot indeed!

Ah, the somersault leg drop. Quick. Showy. Powerful if it hit, dangerous if it didn't. Arguably no more effective than a regular leg drop. In other words, it was Valley Doll’s kind of move.

It worked well, too, striking right where Valley meant it to, with a powerful effect. Alaina was knocked for a loop, it seemed. Hurting. Enough for the pin? It was worthy a try.

Valley slid off Alaina’s body, then moved over and rolled the former champ onto her back. From there, she moved over her chance, hooked a leg, and proceeded to count her own pin.

”1…!”

"TWO!"

Alaina was in a daze but realized that the count reached two. Now more akin to two and a half she cried out and thrust a shoulder up as powerfully as she could in her daze. Grabbing Valley by the head and hair she tried to toss her off however she could, attempting to groggily roll and hobble her way awkwardly up to her feet!

Alaina couldn't lose like this... could she?

Valley wasn’t too surprised when Alaina kicked out of her pin, but all the same, she was a bit disappointed. While she didn’t want to humiliate her friend, she didn’t want to drag this on, either. Things were starting to feel more like a real match and less like a spar as this all went on, and her biggest hope was that they left the ring as they came in: as friends.

Wanting to take a more methodical approach to things, Valley Doll rolled away after and got back to her feet a moment later, but she didn’t press the attack. Instead, she kept at a distance, staying on the edge of Alaina’s striking range as she moved around, almost daring the Amazon to make the first move.

Alaina wasn't very good at the waiting game, and she really didn't want to give Valley time to set up something big. The amazon was on the wrong end of quite a few surprises already. With that in mind, Alaina lunged forward trying to close the gap as quickly as she could and extended her arm to try to clothesline the speedy Valley!

It wasn't the hardest move to dodge by any means, Alaina could only hope she closed the gap quickly enough for Valley to have few options open to counter. If not, Alaina may have been in store for another of those nasty surprises.

Valley kept her eyes trained on Alaina as she neared, focusing hard, looking for any movements. She was fairly certain the big girl was in no position to move swiftly, that the opening would be hers and that she’d be able to strike first, but there was still some caution. Alaina had her strength, that was her defining feature, but it was easy to forget how well-rounded she could be in other areas.

In fact, maybe she was paying a little too much attention, overthinking things, getting too near the edge. When she finally decided to strike and began prepare for a leg sweep, she turned out to do it at the exact wrong time, just as Alaina was moving forward in a charge. Once the Amazon was in motion, there was precious little that could stop her.

Alaina crashed into her hard with the clothesline, and Valley found herself flat on the mat again, knocked for a loop by the strong blow. She rolled forward and tried to get to her feet quick, but she was dazed as she did it, unable to get her defenses up.

Alaina saw Valley rolling and in a daze, opting again to take a page out of Valleys playbook: move, move, move! The amazon ran to the ropes and bounced off rushing back at Valley as quickly as she could!

Alaina jumped into the air and looked to crash into Valley with a cross body block, hoping Valley didn't have enough time to move or even worse reverse Alaina's offense!

Alaina was starting to pick up steam. Not good. Never good.

The woman wasn’t the fastest on the roster, but when she did build momentum, she could almost be like a runaway freight train, one that Valley unfortunately found herself right in the path of. She’d barely had time to stand up before her foe was on her again, charging forward and turning her body into a living missile.

If she hadn’t been a bit groggy, maybe Valley could’ve dodged it. Maybe. It hardly mattered, though, because that was certainly not the case. She hit and hit hard, bringing Valley to mat with an unceremonious crash and landing on top of her for good measure.
