Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Lol, WWE is really giving their best right now.
Pouting Randy tries to make a Batista by sitting in the ring and doing nothing except for pouting until he looses his cool and still does something. Then the Punjabi Lion makes an entrance and sentences us all to a match that is only one step above a "Judy Bagwell on a forklift" match by paying homage to his hero, the one WHC nobody actually wanted to see, the great Khali. Never mind that he blackmailed his hero years ago to wrestle matches for him because he is noble and the Great Khali just a man from the common caste.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
TNA IS DEAD! AT LONG LAST!
Well, technically, whats happening is, now that Anthem has bought Global Force Wrestling, they will be assimilating TNA into GFW, and the show will be GFW Impact Wrestling, with the embarrassing TNA name removed for good.
Jeff Jarrett finally got his company a TV deal, by assimilating "his" other company XD. TNA doesn't meet its end being bought by WWE, or dying a slow death, but by just being absorbed into GFW and then we just pretend it never existed. This is hilarious!
TL;DR: JEFF JARRETT (and nobody else) WINS AT TNA!

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
The message of Ed Nordholm I read about TNA becoming GFW sounds like the story of a bitter middle aged man named Jeff Jarett who is finally getting his revenge on the people that kept the company he founded without any business experience or money afloat for over a decade. Ridiculous on many levels.
Not that TNA is still in any way relevant when you do not count AdR, EC3 or Bobby Lashley, but the part:
"The plan going forward, according to Nordholm, is to "export" GFW content to different international broadcast partners and work with those partners to create localized wrestling content with talents native to that area while also using the Fight Network's App as a hub for all of that content online."
reads for me as if GFW is about to take place in bingo halls with local talents where you sometimes should pay people to see them wrestle. Why should for example the WxW, a bigger german wrestling corporation, cooperate with Jeff Jarett? To appear on TV for a one time event in the impact zone nobody is going to watch anyway?

No no no, a rebranding is like when they just started calling themselves Impact Wrestling, same company, different name. Now though, they are no longer TNA. They are Global Force Wrestling.
GFW has absorbed and assimilated TNA. This doesn't mean "Oh well their half TNA now!", no, that's stupid. Everything that was TNA is now GFW. TNA is dead. GFW is all that is left.

They still have there title. They still have the show (Its called Impact) and they still have Slammiversary from what we know. Seems like they are indeed "Half TNA" if not a rebrand.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Slammiversary is the last TNA show before the name change, and the show is featuring the TNA and GWF titles being unified.
Sure, they have Impact, but its going to be "GFW Impact"
It would be a rebranding if they just changed the name, but this is literally taking away a promotions name and putting the name of another promotion in its place. TNA stars are now GFW stars, the GFW belts will be the defended belts (most likely) going forward, Jeff Jarrett, who owns GFW, is going to be in charge of pretty much everything, this is pure assimilation. The assimilating company takes all the assets, and dumps whats left over (like, in this case, the TNA name)
This is one company eating the other because the parent company said so.
This is little different than when WWE bought WCW. Titan Sports (now known as WWE Inc.), the parent company that owns WWE the wrestling promotion, and its various other forms of media, bought WCW, assimilated its stars and titles and video library and such into WWE, and dumped whatever it didn't need.
