Wrestling Information

Strategy: A Jill of All Trades, Master of None. Echo was trained a little bit in every style of pro wrestling, from submissions to strikes to grappling to high flying and even a few power moves as well. In matches, she will use often switch styles with no real dedication to strategy.

Type: A mix of all kinds


Preferred Matches: While standard matches are more her thing, she’s willing to accept a challenge to most match types. The idea of more Hardcore matches, like with weapons or ladders, scares her, but might be accepted if the situation was right. Hentai matches are something that she’s extremely nervous about doing...but secretly wants to do, if the right person challenged her.


Favored moves: Neckbreakers, snapmares, body slams, scissor holds, various suplexes, Superplex, Cross Body, Half Crab, Boston Crab, dropkicks, top rope splashes, DDT’s.

Signature Moves:

Echo Splash - A flying splash off of the top rope.

Finishers:

Gyro-plex: Named after the gyros her mother would make for her as a kid, Echo gets behind an opponent, lockers her arms around their waist, and charges them into the turnbuckle, smacking their chest against it to make them rebound backwards. Using their momentum, Echo rolls back with an O Connor roll, ending up on her feet, then lifting the opponent up and dropping them onto the mat with a german suplex, often ending the move by bridging into a pinfall!

Zeus Thunder Bomb - A spinning back suplex powerbomb, where Echo gets behind an opponent, and lifts them up in a back suplex position, then, possibly after spinning herself to gain momentum, spins and rotates the opponents body around before sitting down, slamming them to the mat with spinout powerbomb!

Echo Lock - Echo grabs a fallen opponents foot and, gripping it between her hands, begins twisting and wrenching it in a painful Ankle Lock!


Characteristics

Visual Appearance:

Echo is a young woman, barely into adulthood, of average height, slim build, and has often been described as “Adorable” and “Cute” by friends and family. Years of training in athletics, but without much weightlifting, has left her with a slim and slender body that, while soft to the touch, is still firm with young muscle. Her bright blue eyes and often brightly dyed hair show out more thanks to her pale skin.

Personality:

Young, and new to the business, Echo is a very friendly, determined, wide eyed idealist, eager to meet and befriend talented wrestlers, have fun competitive matches, and make a name for herself. As a result of her inexperience however, she’s somewhat overly trusting, and naive as to the true nature of the wrestling business and the locker room, which can get her into trouble with the wrong wrestlers if not careful.

However, her biggest personality trait, by far, is that she's a spoiled brat with a massive ego. Growing up with a family of generations of former wrestlers, who all became big stars, all bragging about their skill and greatness, and all boasting that their training will make her the best, has given her a massive inflated sense of pride and ego in her skill, despite only being a rookie. She never learned to accept, or even expect, defeat, never learned to be a graceful loser, and as a result, any defeat or setback will not only cause her to throw a temper tantrum, but defeats in particular will depress her and cause her to doubt herself.



Past/History:
(I hate doing these, so for the moment, let this brief blurb cover the most important main details of backstory until I’ve more time to give it a proper finish)

*Born in Kalamata, Greece, Echo quite literally as wrestling in her blood, as not only is she a 5th generation pro wrestler, with her older family members having been involved in pro wrestling since the 1800’s, but the family can trace their lineage back to the olden days of Greece, where members of their family wrestled in the early Greek Olympics.

*With wrestling being such a huge part of family history, and a great source of pride for them, Echo was trained from childhood to carry on the family legacy and become a pro wrestler herself, being taught a variety of moves and styles, teaching her the very moves they themselves had used successfully in their careers.

*Echo’s training included watching old and current tapes on wrestlers, seeing how they moved, how they interacted with the crowd, and their moves. It was during these studies, looking for current wrestling content, that led her to discovering companies like Wrestle Angels, and AFW.

*When Echo was close to her 18th birthday, her father, a very successful wrestling promoter, who had booked her mother into fame years before, with contacts around the world, surprised her by getting her a wrestling contract with AFW, the largest wrestling promotion in the world.

*Now 18, she leaves home for Japan, eager to begin her wrestling career and make her family proud!

Fun Facts:

Echo chose her ring name due to it not only sounding flashier and more likely to get her attention, but also chose the name “Echo” because she felt she, as a wrestler, was an echo of the wrestlers in her family all the way back through generations, and it made her feel closer and more attached to them.

Echo’s family are rather...egocentric, when it comes to their wrestling abilities. While all of them found some sort of success in pro wrestling, they have an unfortunate tendency to overhype themselves and make them sound like a much bigger deal than they were, and have convinced Echo that even just being trained by them makes her a world class talent.


Echo actually wanted to join her Jr. High and High Schools wrestling team, as a way of getting more training and getting better at the kind of grappling the greeks tend to excel at...but was prevented and convinced not too by her family, who felt that such training would be inadequate compared to them, and felt that any potential loss Echo suffered would demoralize her.


While they plan on watching their daughters matches, Echo’s family only watches the censored, save for TV matches instead of the unrestricted, R-rated, AFW Network, and thus, have no idea that hentai matches actually go on in the league. Echo herself learned this when she secretly signed up for the AFW during a free trial period, canceling before her parents credit card got charged, and while the thought is nerve-wracking...she secretly kind of wants to try one.

Despite her home of Kalamata being famous for them...Echo hates olives.

Due to her upbringing being mostly focused on a future wrestling career, Echo has always eaten a healthy and balanced diet, and has been kept away from junk food as much as possible. As a result, being in Japan...she finds herself very tempted...

A lover of variety, Echo often dies her hair, and made multiple copies of her ring gear in different colors, often to match her hair.

While not wanting to wrestle in a toga, and having no intention of wrestling naked as ancient Greeks did, but also wanting to do something in tribute to them in some way, Echo compromises by wrestling barefoot, as well as having an outfit that exposes as much skin as she is comfortable with exposing.
