LEAGUE: Cherise Campbell vs Nathan Weed (complete)

While Cherise had managed to gain the upperhand, it was short lived as he trapped her arms, keeping her from really taking control. She'd grit her teeth, trying to pull her arms free. But rather than waste her energy pulling, she decided to switch to a different tactic. She'd suddenly aim a headbutt at Nathan's head, hoping to stun him long enough so that she could free her arms and really take control.

Their colliding heads made a dull thok and Nathan fell flat against the ground. Cherise's attack had its intended effect; Nathan's arms lost their grip, and Cherise's arms were free. Nathan pressed one hand to his forehead against where Cherise had hit him and gave a surprised, breathless laugh.

Nathan would feel Cherise suddenly grab at his right arm, shifting her body so that she would try to pull his arm back from his body, while wrapping her legs around it, hoping to trap him in a submission hold. She was good with her submissions. She'd aim to hold on tight, holding his hand against her chest as she applied pressure.

Nathan choked, a sudden pain assaulting his arm as Cherise applied the cross armbreaker. Nathan arched his back, gritting his teeth. He feebly used his left to try and uncoil Cherise's tight legs, but to no avail. Nathan, aware that his right hand was against Cherise's chest, shyly balled his right hand into a fist, trying to minimize sensual contact.

Cherise didn't seem to notice where his hand was. And if she did, she seemed to not show it, or care about it at all. She would simply do her best to apply a bit of pressure at intervals, hoping to wear him down a little bit.

If he didn't manage to free himself of the hold after a few minutes, she'd let go to roll back away from him, getting to her feet. Neither one of them were likely feeling the cold right now. She'd watch him, waiting for him to get to his feet. Once he did, she'd rush him, aiming to grab that same arm and slip behind him, hoping to twist his arm behind his back.

Of course, she wouldn't keep putting his arm through pain like this for too long. She didn't want to injure him after all.

Fighting outside sucks, Nathan decided. It's cold, there are no rope breaks, and the grass got me all wet.

Nathan spent precious energy trying to use strength to free himself from the hold, but had no luck. He grit his teeth and winced every time Cherise put on more pressure; her hold was really wearing him down.

In a fit of frustrated struggling, he kicked wildly. "Arrrgh!" he groaned, despite himself. His left shoe, which he had previously loosened, wiggled on his foot, and Nathan hatched a desperate plan. Not knowing that he was only a few seconds from being released, Nathan kicked his left foot up, sending his shoe flying. The shoe sailed up in a surprisingly graceful arc before falling straight towards Cherise's face. If the move hits and sufficiently distracts Cherise, Nathan will free his wrist and slide his arm out of his sweatshirt, then take it off, leaving Cherise holding an empty sweatshirt. Then he'll run several yards away to recuperate.

It was quite distracting. It wasn't every day you wrestled and had a shoe suddenly fall and land on your face. It was distracting enough that Nathan would manage to slip free of her hold, leaving her holding onto his sweatshirt. She'd get to her feet, giggling as she looked at his clothing. She'd set the shirt down, and would start jogging after Nathan, not wanting to sprint after him. it wouldn't do to catch up to him eventually and risk being out of breath.

"This isn't how you wrestle!" She couldn't hold back the chuckle, rather enjoying herself at the moment.

Nathan grinned back. Nathan had on a dark green long sleeve shirt, but he had apparently gotten used to the cold. He kicked off his remaining shoe and took off his socks.

"Sorry," Nathan said, stretching his sore arm. "You should have let me finish taking off my shoes. There's no weapons penalty or anything for that, right?" He looked at the ref, who shook her head. Nathan turned back to face Cherise, who had casually jogged up to where he had stopped.

"So I should keep-arms-out-of-Cherise's-grasp, right?" Nathan shook out his arm and assumed a ready stance. "Okay, got it. I'm ready."

Cherise would let out another giggle. "Well I thought since you seemed so cold, that you would have wanted to keep your clothing. But thats up to you." She didn't doubt that the shoe wasn't considered a weapon. It wasn't even a steel toe shoe. Now that might have hurt a bit.

Cherise would assume a defensive stance as she watched Nathan, beckoning him to come at her this time. She wanted him to start. Yet she looked quite ready for him, her face dead set in a serious expression once more.

"Ha, I forgot. I guess you were right about warming up." For a moment, both contenders stood still, waiting for the other to make the first move. Suddenly, Nathan rushed in, trying to grab one of Cherise's legs in a soft take down. If it works, he'll quickly grab her head in a grounded headlock.
