Need some clarification

So not too long ago I was told that some people had complained to Tat or other mods that I powerplay.

I don't know, I didn't think I did before I heard that. I thought that the most common thing was if one felt that way it was best to talk to the rp partner out of respect or something but I suppose I was wrong.

Either way that's not what I wanted to talk about, when I hear this from Tat, It seemed that the only reason he could give me was that Cecilia hasn't lost that much and she has a lot of wins.

First of I guess I want to hear what people think, if I powerplay in their opinion or if I have made people dislike our rp's or something. If you can point out to specific spots of powerplay that would help to.

(PS: In terms of rping I don't think wins should matter, I have a few characters that don't have wins or haven't been planned to get many wins. Also Cecilia has never been worked to get a lot of wins...It just happened I guess. Still though I don't see how that's bad, besides most matches when it's been mostly planned out that Cecilia was going to lose, people just stop posting to and never resume for some reason >_> )

I wouldn't say you powerplay. In our Kia Vs Laria match i know your not powerplaying, cause we agreed that Laria was insanly powerful and that Kia did not stand much of a chance. However to people who don't know that they might see it as powerplaying.

Okay as a second note I forgot to mention.

This is only related to Cecilia, cause that's the only place the complaints came to be from.

From the ones i saw of Cecila they look ok, as long as you stick to the 'take one hit in every three' rule you tend to be ok

First of all, I think your RPs rock. In Ring and Backstage(especially there). Some more than others, but that's pretty normal. Some ideas turn out great, some don't. Some get better in time, others start good and drag on after a certain point. For example, Brittany vs. Cecilia for the hardcore belt is a 4* match for me.

Cecilia looks to me like the rough , take no shit from anyone northern valkyrie with a heart and even gentle intentions sometimes. I'm really a fan of this character, but that's already old news for you " title="Wink" /> . Think it's a coincidence that stories about fandom mostly pop up around Cecilia, Natalia, Heather and Akashi? I don't.

The one event where she looked pretty strong to me was/is the Elimination Chamber match. But that's more a matter of circumstances and more of a feeling than a fact. Her first opponent is a washed up semipro, the second opponent took equal terms on beating on Ise and Cecilia. The only debatable point is the avoidance of the double kick of Adrian, but maybe I read that wrong. So it's only natural that Cecilia stays more fit.

Call me old fashioned, but some! wins matter for a champion as long as it does not get Superman like. How can someone who has for example a 1:9 won/lost ratio be a credible hardcore! champion if she's not built like a flucky Cinderella story or a jobber to the stars who has her best day and a sledgehammer when she wins the belt? I am totally ok with a 5:5 or a 3:7 won/lost, that's a fighting champion with a lionheart who gives it all as soon as she has the belt.

And last but not least, everyone loves to be Cecilia's bitch. ^^

P.S: To avoid the"FFS, that's just one spot, get over with it!" backlash. Yes it's just one spot, and I can't remember any other spots, but Lunar asked.

Here's the problem I see with this. In public, people with positive things to say will jump at the chance. People with criticism will, out of respect or hesitance to get caught in a shit storm, stay quiet, or if they do speak up try to downplay and sugar coat what they thing enough that it sounds like nothing.

In management and everywhere else, praise publicly, but chastise in private. The only real end this can have is for a few people who are not part of the initial problem that led you to make this thread in the first place will speak up, maybe someone else will sheepishly say something, and then you'll be able to say "See? Tatyina's full of shit!"

Private conversation is really the only way to go.

You know the thread about godmodding? How there's a ton of people in it going 'oh, godmodding and powerplaying isn't a problem, why do we even have this thread, herf durf'? That's what this thread is going to end up as. A bunch of people coming to your defense going 'oh no, you're fine, don't listen to teh haters!'

It's like Tai said. Do you think people would be complaining if there wasn't an issue? Do you think people are just making it up because they don't like you?
