Megumi Vs. Masane - Encounter with the Karate Girl

Megumi was working out at the gym. She had mostly been doing weight training, toning up her muscles and improving her strength. She had realized that she needed to become stronger if she was to survive the upcoming battles. After finishing her final set, she got up and took a long drink out of her water bottle. Sweat from her workout covered her body, making the t-shirt she wore cling uncomfortably to her body. She decided to take it off, throwing it aside and revealing the toned curvy body beneath. She decided to go looking for a sparring partner, since a good spar would usually be the best way to wind down after a long workout.

Masane was in another room in the gym by herself and dressed in her gi with her black top on. She was practicing blows on a stand up dummy that only had a torso and head. She kept striking different areas on the dummy, almost knocking it over with the ferocity of her strikes a few times.

Megumi wandered into the gym room where Masane was, standing in the doorway, looking at Masane working out. She was impressed with the Karate girl's skill. She walked over to Masane's side, admiring Masane's moves.

"Not bad," Megumi said.

Masane almost whirled around to kick whoever it was standing behind her, but she held back, blinking at the girl who spoke to her. "You should not sneak up on people like that. For the sake of your own health." She warned.

"Woah," Megumi said, "That's no way to greet a stranger." She backed off a few steps, out of range of Masane's crazy powerful looking kicks. "What's up with you? Being so violent, it's almost as if you have a grudge with the world or something." She smirked a little, thinking in her head "Maybe it's that time of month..."

She chuckles softly at her questions.

"Not at all." She replied. "I just always have my guard up. I'm not angry at anyone, It's just unwise to sneak up on me like you just did." She explained before dropping her stance.

"Well that's good," Megumi said, "I pity the person who tries to sneak up on you. Not me, though, of course." Megumi chuckled a little, "I know better than to sneak up on a person. It's always better to attack from the front." With that, she'll throw an open palm-strike seemingly at Masane, but really at the dummy behind her, hitting it hard on the head.

Masane merely smiled at the psuedo-threat. She didn't seem to budge as Megumi threw that open palm and watched as it whizzed past her and smacked the dummy instead.

"Nice attack. I felt no menace behind it, however. I'm Masane. Masane Tajiri." She said, offering her hand to shake.

"My name's Megumi Mutoh," Megumi said. She saw how Masane didn't even flinch, and was even more impressed with the Karate girl's discipline. "She would be a fine opponent in a match," Megumi thought. With that in mind, she decided that she wanted to have a spar with Masane.

"Say, beating up on dummies is no fun," Megumi said, "How about we have a quick spar?"

Masane nodded immediately. "Sure! Live opponents are always better than a training dummy." She commented, then looked around. "Uh.. where do you want this done?"
