Megumi Vs. Masane - Encounter with the Karate Girl

"The practice ring's not being used," Megumi said, "Lets have a quick spar in there, before someone decided to take it." With that, Megumi would leave the room and head towards the ring, climbing into it and waiting for Masane to catch up.

Masane nods in agreement. "Sounds good."

She replied and jog right behind her, climbing up and leaping over the top rope to land in the ring, smirking a little at Megumi.

"She's pretty limber," Megumi thought. She was a little wary now, since her opponent appeared to be quite powerful. It would be a close matchup between them.

"So, the conditions for victory will be a pin, submission, or knockout," Megumi said, "Is that ok?"

Masane looked her over for a moment, having a feeling she was a striker as well.

"Since this is a spar, how about we just stop when one of us wants to quit, ok?" She suggested, while warming herself up in her corner.

"Wants to quit? Well, that's fine too," Megumi said. She would move out of her corner into the center of the ring, expecting Masane to do the same. She'll let Masane have the first move, both to figure out Masane's fighting style and to measure up her own capabilities with Masane's.

Masane's expression became blank as Megumi moved into the middle of the ring. She followed her, staying in her stance and keeping her guard up, sliding her feet foward and approaching the center of the ring.

Megumi saw her opponent adopt a typical Karate stance, thinking in her head "Masane's not just some wrestler with a martial arts gimmick, she's the read deal. I'll have to be careful." She would raise her hands to protect her face and move in slowly, approaching within striking distance. Her aim was to try and force Masane to grapple with her, since she was probably outclassed in the striking department. Once Megumi was close enough, she would move quickly to grab Masane's wrists, securing her hold and making sure the karate girl wouldn't be able to strike with her hands.

Masane was waiting for Megumi to come at her. She saw her trying to go for her wrists, and would try to use the backs of her hands to swat at Megumi's wrists to knock her away and open her guard, and would try for an open palm strike to Megumi's gut to try and send her back just a little bit.

Megumi was surprised when her opponent knocked her hands out of the way before she could get a grasp on Masane. Then, the open palm strike connected. Megumi staggered backwards a few steps, winded by the assault and surprised by Masane's ferocity.

"That really hurt!" Megumi thought, "She's good, I'll need to watch out."

Masane moved in after her, faking a high kick to her chin, only throwing her knee up, which would come up short, but then she would pivot on that leg for a straight kick at her gut. "Hya!"
