She put him down again by showing him what he should have done.He would have said something,but it would only making everything worse,like he always did.He stays silent as Lina flipped through the channels.Until she stopped on an ad for a new flavor of ice cream.Jay looked over to her and sees her staring.This could be his chance.

"You know,I have an unopened one in the freezer."

She turned to look at him. Her eyes got wide and she looked interested. Not quite staring into your soul strong, but enough to say that she was interested, very interested.

The lion looked back at Lina with a slightly frightened face.She looked ready to pounce on him. "Um...You okay?"

She says nothing but still looks interested. Though the longer Jay sat there and did nothing the more she should become disappointing. Eventually she'll ask him if he really did have ice cream.

"O-Oh! Right." Jay got up and walked about ten feet away to the freezer.He opened it up and took out the large container and got a spoon.He walked back to the couch and handed them both to her. "Here you go,Ms. Lina.Sorry about making you wait."

"Thanks." she took hold of the spoon and started eating. Given how the last few hours went she could eat the whole container of it if she wanted to, not that she was intending on doing so.

"You can have the whole thing,you know." These words may have been gold to Lina.While she was eating,Jay got up and came back.He held something out to give to Lina.It was a room key.More specifically,his room key. "Whenever you decide to leave,be sure to lock up.Im gonna go to sleep soon."

The lion shrugged. "Do what you want.Stay the night if you'd like." Again,he was joking.But only half-joking.He stretches his arms and yawns. "If you're gonna decide,do it soon.Its getting late quickly,almost midnight." Jay once again leaves momentarily.When he came back.....

Jay was in black pajama pants and a black t-shirt.What was noticeable...Was the absence of his cat ears and tail.For once,someone had seen just Jay.The human Jay.
