The Truth Will Set You Free

Another episode of Friction was well under way. The fans were rowdy as always, stagehands were constantly scurrying along to keep every little detail of the show moving in an orderly fashion and wrestlers were either preparing for their matches or lounging about backstage.

Minerva fit into the latter category. Not booked to compete tonight, the raven haired beauty was content to relax backstage in a black, silk dress, and matching boots, gloves and fur coat. But of course, a woman like her didn’t need to come to a place like this to find a moment of relaxation. The luxurious mansion she lived in was far more equipped for that.

The reason she’d made the trip to the stadium was rather simple. She wanted to scout other wrestlers on the roster by watching the matches, and by observing any who seemed interesting backstage. Would she find anyone she’d deem a worthy adversary? Not likely, though that was just because of her ever-inflated ego. But that was fine. She wasn’t looking for a fight tonight. A little bit of time to observe was all she sought. Currently that meant watching a match between two former Wrestle Angels veterans. Mikoto Kusanagi had just dropped Suzumi Ishikawa on her head, and the match seemed to be all but finished. For the fans, it had been an exciting and emotional clash. But Minerva just scoffed and rolled her eyes.

“To think the company really keeps a pair of washed up nobodies like them on the payroll. Incredible...” she commented aloud, then sighed and began to walk away.
