What arrogance... Kena's eyes narrowed further at her opponent. If there was one saving grace that came from this struggle of a battle it was that she wasn't overestimating her abilities anymore. She couldn't, not with this opponent. And her opponent's high of victory was making for some obvious gaps in her movements.

The roundhouse was easy enough to dodge. Kena twisted her body around Makoto's leg, throwing her fist out for a spinning backhand strike at her opponent's hip as she dodge. "Haah!"

Makoto winced as Kena struck home. "Not bad..." She said rubbing her side. She drew her guard in tight. The time for talking and taunting was over. It was time to show the kitten how tigers fight.

Narrowing her gaze, Makoto lept forward with a flying kick and a loud KIAAA!

It didn't do much damage judging from Makoto's reaction, but it felt great to finally make Makoto start to take her more seriously. About time. She got back into her stance, staring down Makoto. She took another breath, bouncing on her toes. Then Makoto came at Kena at full force with a flying kick and loud battle cry. The shout had Kena paralyzed for a split second, the fighting spiriting from her opponent locking her in place just enough to make her hesitate. C'mon, move Kena! She forced her body to move, jerking to the side for the kick to just get her shoulder, though that the impact still knocked her to the ground. "Gah!" She clutched her shoulder, forcing herself to raise on one knee.

Kena had earned Makoto taking her seriously, but the little tiger may very well end up regretting earning her full attention.

Makoto didn't waste a moment seeing Kena on one knee. She brought her foot up, drew her leg back, and shot a kick directly at Kena's face with another loud KIAA!

Makoto was relentless with her attack. There was barely any time to recover before she went for a kick. Kena managed to bring her arms up to her face in time, but the blow still knocked her flat on her back with numbed arms for her trouble. "Guh!" She could feel blood starting to build in her mouth now from all the hits she was taking. "Gh..." She pushed herself up back to her feet. She spat out blood before letting out a battle cry of her own and rush forward to grab Makoto's gi and knee her in the stomach.

Makoto's kick was softened by Kena throwing her guard up at the last second. Makoto had to hand it to her--she had good reflexes. She was a natural fighter. And she provided more evidence to the fact as she screamed a battle cry and rushed forward. Makoto was caught off guard by Kena's swiftness and ferocity. The little tiger grabbed her gi and fired a knee right in her stomach.

"GAHHH!" Makoto gasped. But Kena had brought herself within the range of a grapple--her mistake, and perhaps a costly one.

Makoto grasped Kena's arms and stared coldly into her eyes. "What kind of garbage style neglects teaching grappling?" She whispered to Kena to break her concentration before heaving hr up and over her shoulder in a classic judo throw. Makoto would be careful to keep ahold of Kena's arms this time. She wanted to take the fight to the ground where Kena was weakest.

Finally, a hit that actually did decent damage to her opponent! Just hearing Makoto's cry was enough to make Kena smile wide and wild at her small victory, savoring the moment of pain she caused her foe for all it was worth.

Though it lasted for only a moment.

Kena's eyes widened the second Makoto latched onto her arms. Dammit! She got careless in her excitement. She couldn't pulled away or prepare for the coming throw. She looked Makoto in the eyes, her heart tightening at her words before she was slammed back to the ground."Ah!" The throw hurt, her back exploded in pain she gasped for air, but Makoto still held her tight. Kena's, forcing herself to look at Makoto's cold stare with frustrated and anxious eyes as she tried to squirm out of her grip with what strength she had.

Makoto straddled Kena's back and took her chin in her hands. She pulled the little tiger back in a camel clutch intending to increase the agony of her already pained back.

Makoto locked her fingers together and pulled with all her might hoping to bring Kena to the brink of submission. She pressed a knee into the small of Kena's back. "Do you surrender?" She hissed in Kena's ear.

"Aaaaah!" It hurt. Her sore back combined with the burning pain of being stretched. It was like Makoto was trying to break her back without mercy. Kena squirmed about, slamming her fist against the ground and clawing at the tatami, but to no avail. She'd have to either endure the pain or surrender, and Makoto's words fueling her anger. "Never!" She snarled back. "I'll never surrender to someone like you!" Losing meant stripping, bowing, and admitting inferiority. She was never going to give Makoto that satisfaction without a fight, not after all the insults and hits she had to take from her.

Kena fought just as ferociously as a tiger. She flailed, she kicked, she struggled with all her strength to get away. But it was another girl with the soul of a tiger on her back.

"You will surrender!" Makoto shouted as she struggled to keep the Kena in her grip. "Fight me will all you have, because I'm going to crush you body and soul! This is a duel of pride! Someone's pride must be slain!" Makoto rolled onto her back wrapped her shapely legs around Kena's torso and squeezed, crushing Kena's grandmother's symbol and the tired girl behind it. She wrapped her arms around Kena's slender neck in a dragon sleeper bending her back so that she could see Kena's eyes.

Makoto could feel Kena's body almost shake itself apart with her desperate but unfocused struggle. She looked forward with a sadist's glee to crushing that energy, of turning the tiger into a kitten. She had heard Kena was a strong willed girl with a bit of a sadistic streak herself. Makoto respected that. It made her want to break Kena all the more. She wanted to see what she herself might look like on the losing end of a desperate struggle.

"This all the grappling your stupid style knows?" Makoto roared. "Is this your best? Is this your grandmother's best? Fight me or surrender!" She taunted trying to batter Kena emotionally as well as physically.
