Of Angels and Amazons

"Nnnh...." Risako was in a world of hurt now as she rolled onto her back. True to form, Alaina was hitting with all of the blunt force of a dump truck...and the problem was, Risako was continuously getting in the way of said dump truck. Unfortunately, with her spine now thobbing with pain after being slammed by that, mobility wasn't looking like such a hot option right now.

Forcing an eye open, she saw Alaina clambering to the top rope. She had to hand it to the Amazon, her opponent was in much better form in this match than she was previously. She needed breathing space, and she needed to fight back...and Alaina wasn't going to let her any time soon.

The moment Alaina sprang off the tope ropes, Risako knew she had to act: a moonsault from a woman of Alaina's size would be a match-ender, right there. Gritting her teeth, Risako thrust her lower legs up, hoping to catch Alaina by surprise and make her collide, chest or gut-first, with her extended knees. This, at least, would give Risako some much needed time to recover. If she failed to counter in time, though, then she would be utterly flattened underneath the Amazon...

Alaina sailed through the air and came crashing down on top of Risako.... unfortunately Alaina's abdomen was met with the knees of her opponent! Alaina groaned and flopped off of Risako writhing on the mat in agony after the landing went totally wrong! Alaina was gasping for breath but the wind was knocked clear out of her as Risako hadn't just bought herself time, she had halted Alaina's momentum in its tracks! Peggy was looking a little better off on the side although Alaina knew Emily was also fresh. This was a critical point in the match and the amazon was laid out, barely able to move!

The feeling of Alaina colliding with her knees, and the tremendous crash next to her, told her that her counter had worked. With a sigh of relief, she began to slowly but surely get up, though with the battering she had taken, she was pretty slow to rise again. In the background, she could hear Emily urging her back up, her fans screaming for her to stand.

"So this...is how good you really are, Amazon..." she managed to say to the downed Alaina, struggling to breathe as she got up to her hands and knees. "I'm...impressed."

"Impressed now? Just you wait." Alaina said quietly as she grit her teeth, struggling to get up to her feet once more. Alaina held her hands out and offered Panther Risako a chance to grapple in a contest of strength. Alaina was the bigger woman but Risako was legendary among Wrestle Angels for her ability to do just about anything akin to Mighty Yukiko. Alaina looked at Risako and nodded, hoping that she would accept the invitation of the large amazon!

Finally, Risako managed to get back up to her feet, just at around the same time as Alaina stood back up as well. For a moment, the two women were silent as they glared at one another. Then, slowly, Alaina raised her arms and motioned for a lockup. Slowly, Risako nodded, raising her own arms and edging closer to the Amazon.

Risako lunged in, and for a few seconds, the two of them pushed and twisted. Gritting her teeth, Risako would suddenly try to pull herself free from the grapple, not wanting to get trapped in a contest of strength against the larger girl for too long, and instead chop Alaina hard above the chest! The fight was beginning to take its toll on Risako, and she knew she couldn't maintain a direct fight against Alaina for too long.

Alaina felt Risako grip her and the amazon began to push and force herself onto Risako with all her strength! However she suddenly felt Risako break the grapple and chop her in the chest! "Ahhhhhhh!" Alaina howled as the chop crashed into her chest, the noise of it echoing throughout the arena! Alaina stumbled a couple steps as she refocused on Risako. She stepped back up and swung her arm around, trying to return the chop in kind right back to the chest of Risako! "You call that a chop!? Try this!" Alaina shouted as she swung her arm out trying to chop back as forcefully as she could!

Risako took some satisfaction in seeing Alaina driven back by her chop, the sudden strike stunning the bigger woman and giving her some vital breathing space. That space disappeared, however, as Alaina quickly retaliated, stepping forwards and delivering a brutal chop of her own that impacted against Risako's own chest, blowing the air out of her lungs and sending her staggering back.

With a wordless cry of rage, Risako stepped forward and retaliated with yet another chop of her own! The crowd watched as the two wrestlers traded blows in the centre of the ring, a contest that could only end when one of them could no longer stand...

Alaina felt the sting across her chest, stumbling back again as the second chop hurt even worse than the first! The amazon wobbled but stayed up shaking her head as she struggled to regain her bearings. Alaina looked at Risako and knew what she had to do. Pride was on the line as she stepped in at Risako again putting everything she had into a return chop across the chest of Risako once more! Alaina knew that neither woman would willingly yield so this little battle may be a big swinging point at the late juncture of the match. Alaina was determined not to be the first to fall..... much easier said than done!

Risako's last chop hit home like an axe biting into a tree trunk, the blow sending a shudder through the Amazon's body and sending her staggering back. Leaning forwards, Risako panted for breath as she watched Alaina stagger back, huffing from a lack of breath, almost as battered as she was. Surely, Alaina couldn't have much more left in the tank?

The answer came as Alaina came striding back forwards, hurting but determined, before lashing out and hammering Risako with another chop of her own! The thunderous impact thundered against her chest, and Risako was sent staggering backwards into the ropes. It was all she could do to hold onto the ropes as she gasped for air. Truly, the Amazon was proving too much for her today...

Alaina had Risako on the ropes and looked over at Peggy with a nod. She turned her focus back to Risako and was ready to try to put her away. Alaina grabbed Risako by the head and shoved it between her legs bending down to grab her around the waist. It was clear that it was a setup for an amabomb and Peggy was already climbing the ropes to perch up top. Alaina wanted to amabomb Risako as hard as she could before tagging Peggy in. There was a plan in place to really hammer on Risako while preventing Emily from rushing in but first Alaina had to pull off the amabomb without it being countered!
