AV 20 Hardcore Championship - River Styx (c) vs Galina Romerno

Styx, for her part, was loving this.

Yeah, Galina was a big, Russian, Vodka swilling pain in her ass, but she was confident in her ability to deal with the problem, finally getting a handle on the woman’s whole schtick. She was tough, there was no not giving that to her, and she’d put up way more of a fight than anyone could’ve expected if you’d put them together in a lineup. But this thing was over and done.

But from here it would be smooth sailing, right? She had this.

Galina seemed intent on proving her wrong, as she lashed out with a desperate but effective move. It was enough to stagger her, hurt, and left her open to take a rough elbow on the chops. One that she wasn’t about to take without giving something back.

Styx lashed out with an elbow of her own, then rose up and pushed hard against Galina, driving her back towards the railing and slamming her up against it. The audience below was already moving out of the way, trying to get clear as they made the rather obvious assumption on where this was about to go.

Galina was fighting with pure desperation here, the Gypsy was fighting harder than she had ever done before hand. Harder than she had done when she made her MMA debut, harder than when she did that battle royale with some other camps, harder than when she first got arrested by a cop. The Rose of Russia was beating her arms into Styx with all she had here, forgoing her MMA training and relying more on her primal instincts here to slam Styx in the head over and over. Get her to buckle, get her to finally crumple into a KO'd heap. As it turned out however the champ was having other ideas here, because Styx doubled down and buckled up for what looked like the attempt of the finale.

Styx took the Gypsy for a ride here, sending her staggering backwards towards a place that Galina suddenly realised was a balcony. She felt the familiar feeling of a rail against her back, couldn't be anything else. Shit, so this was what Styx was gonna try huh? Galina actually found it pretty funny, only way to try and this fight was to fling her off a balcony? The Russian felt they weren't up too high, but enough to put either of them out for the fight. Good.

The Gypsy would grab Styx by the neck with one hand and jab her in the eyes with the other one, it became clear to just about anyone that Galina was gonna try and use this balcony. Now it was just a case of trying to fight for survival, granted Styx was bigger, which meant it was gonna be harder to get her over that rail, but damned if Galina wasn't going to fight and try!

Galina could fight, she could struggle, she could put all the effort she had into fighting this. Styx didn’t have a problem with that. Hell, she welcomed it. It would only make her look better, in the end, when she threw her over and won this match.

Granted, it was starting to get more than a little irritating, especially at this final stage. She had her up against the railing and was preparing to throw her off. Couldn’t be too hard, right? The bitch only weighed, what, 120 pounds? 150 tops. Styx could yeet that, no problem, and it seemed like her opponent was at the end of her rope. Wouldn’t be that hard to finish her off.

That proved to not be the case, however, as Galina struck at the last moment, just as Styx was reaching down to grab her, the imp reached out and jabbed her in the eye, digging her thumb in deep while she held her by the neck. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to make her back off for a second and throw out a wild backhand towards Galina’s face, just trying to make her more compliant.

Galina was wanting nothing more than to both pack it for the day and also to take this champ over that balcony and put her away for good, the Gypsy could feel the ache in her bones from this match. She'd fought bloody and harder than any other fight before, Galina felt the wheeze in her lungs from the shots she'd taken. But as her Father told her 'The one who doesn't get KO'd isn't the loser, its the one that buckles under the pressure and can't keep going that does' sure enough Galina knew that the instant she lost the will to fight was when she was done. Hell if she fell she'd have lost anyway, still she made sure to keep her dirty tricks in store by jabbing Styx in the eyes to keep her blinded.

Still the champ was good, throwing out a wild hand there to make sure Styx collided with Galina and got her to stagger back, Galina leaned on the railing to steady herself while panting heavily. It was during this that an idea came to mind for the Rose of Russia, it was a crazy idea. A mad one even, but the possibility of it paying off really tempted Galina to try it. She gritted her teeth and muttered a Russian curse word as she resolved on this bold and desperate gambit.

Giving a loud yell Galina would lunge right at Styx, trying to get her legs around her and driving her fists into the champ's head as hard as she could. All the while trying to jockey her nearer that railing, Galina knew that she couldn't really lift Styx exactly......so maybe it was that beer she'd had earlier that made her think this was a good idea. But she was gonna try and drag Styx down with her here..........

The next few moments were a blur. Styx would only be able to put together pieces of it later, after she’d had some time to digest the events, and she could parse out a few key details.

She’d been near the railing, trying to fend off Galina. Her initial plan had been to throw Galina off and dump her to the floor. They were about fifteen, maybe twenty feet up. Not super high, but higher than any human in their right mind would ever want to fall. It would’ve been a nasty landing even if you could fall the way you wanted to, and she was going to ensure Galina didn’t have that luxury.

But then the bitch had to go in and ruin it by not being a pushover. Styx was blinded, she was swinging out, desperate to hit anything. Galina was all over her, leaping on her like redhead Russian monkey, forcing to stumble back towards the rails, losing her balance, and then-

Falling. Styx experienced the weightlessness, the air rushing around her, her body spiraling out of control. She flailed her arms about, a helpless bid to reach out for anything to grab onto something, anything, but coming up short.

The last thing she remembered was seeing the floor rush to meet her face, and then-

Many called Galina mad at the best of times, the Gypsy took caution as a rough guideline at the best of times. It earned her many a night in the jail and even when she came back to her camp she'd have a bloody nose or a black eye among other things, but Galina was the sort that decided to just say fuck it and went for it. Case in point Galina was a mad lady here also, because lo and behold she lunged herself right at Styx and threw caution to the wind. She risked it all here, to ensure that one way or another this match was concluded. It was.......

Yep that was it, Galina lunged at Styx and they were at it and the momentum simply......carried them over the rail. That was all it took, no challenge, no.....resistance? Regardless Galina could swear that time slowed down for her as she felt them cross the thresh hold of gravity, some part of Galina underlinded and felt a sense of dread. She'd jumped from a height like this before, she thought of. Probably running from the cops one time, but still......Galina let out a loud "FUCKKKKKK YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!" as they went flying over the railing and earning loud yells from below.

After that it was all a blur, Galina felt a hard impact on the floor and was out of it. Nothing was broken it seemed thankfully, but Galina was out of it here. She was unmoving, a heap on the floor that was unaware of anything that was happening around her here save for the slow breaths that came from her chest........
