Saoirse vs. Hikaru: Debut Of A Powerhouse

Hikaru Sawazaki was eager to step in to the ring again tonight. She was facing off against some new Irish wrestler and she heard this woman was an absolute powerhouse. Hikaru had wrestled bigger women before and she felt as though she had a good gameplan in place. Keep moving, use speed and technique to wear down the larger opponent. In theory it sounded great but not Hikaru had to put it in to practice and make it work out in between the ropes.

Hikaru heard her music playing and she entered the arena to a modest cheer. She knew she was off to a bit of a rough start in Friction but she was sure that tonight she was set to rebound. She made her way down the ramp keeping her head high before walking up the ring steps, climbing through the ropes to enter the ring. Hikaru held her arms up doing a lap around the inside of the ring before she settled in to her corner to await the arrival of this new woman. Hikaru was eager to see what she looked like and for that opening bell to ring!

The Barbarian:

Shortly after Hikaru’s entrance concluded, an unfamiliar song boomed to life over the Friction arena’s speakers. Small, torch-like flames began to rise along the sides of the entrance ramp, and seconds later The Barbarian strode out onto the stage. Clad in an attire that seemed ripped right out of a fantasy novel, Saoirse also wore an intense but focused expression, befitting of a warrior going off into battle. Her toned body reflected years of hard training and. Even well before she entered the ring, everyone watching could easily tell this size matchup did not favor Hikaru at all.

But if there was any sympathy for her opponent tonight, the Barbarian certainly did not show it in any way. Entering the ring, she marched right over to Hikaru and glared down at her wordlessly for several seconds before grunting as she stepped away and removed her fur cloak. After tossing it out, Saoirse came to stand in her corner. Tonight was her Friction debut, and she intended to send a message to the rest of the locker room at Hikaru’s expense.

Hikaru watched this woman come out and while she wasn't the biggest height or weight wise that she had fought she was possibly the most fit. This was not going to be easy. Shaking her head Hikaru stepped up to the middle of the ring, waiting for the bell to ring. She wasn't going to shy away from this just because she was an underdog on paper yet again. She was going to go on the attack.

As the bell rang Hikaru screamed as she ran right at Saoirse, leaping up to try to hit her in the chest with a dropkick! Hikaru hoped this woman expected her to be timid or intimidated by her size and that the dropkick would catch her off guard.

Looking at her foe, Saoirse thought of a small house dog. A cute little thing that would bark at neighbors and house guests to try to come off as intimidating, but always backed down in the face of a serious threat. That was what she expected from Hikaru, but she was somewhat surprised to find the girl was much more brave than she would have expected, even being so bold as to dash across the ring and throw a dropkick at her right when the bell rang!

Unfortunately for Hikaru, her move only made the Barbarian stumble a step back out of surprise. But she stayed on her feet, and the glare she shot at the smaller girl made it clear she wasn’t going to get off so easily for that. While Hikaru was getting back up, Saoirse would take a running step toward her, then bellow out a loud shout while hurling her right foot out, aiming to slam the sole of her boot into her opponent’s chest with full force and blast her right off her feet!

Hikaru connected but as she got up she saw that Saoirse had not been knocked down off her feet. That was disappointing but not entirely unexpected. However the surging barbarian caught Hikaru off guard entirely! Hikaru took the big boot to the chest, her body shooting back as she jerked and fell down hard to the mat! Hikaru coughed and cradled her chest with her arms as she kicked the mat in pain a clear indication that Hikaru was in agony. That big boot smashed her chest and any wind she had was already taken out of her sails.

The timing and placement of her kick were perfect, catching Hikaru right in the middle of her chest and blasting her straight off her feet! For a moment she just watched the girl writhe on the mat. There was nothing in Saoirse’s expression to suggest any sadistic enjoyment being gained from Hikaru’s pain, but neither was there any sympathy from the Barbarian.

The crimson-haired warrior stalked over to her wounded foe and leaned down. One arm scooped behind the girl’s head while the other hooked behind one of her legs. Then she stood again, hoisting her up at a tilted angle, almost completely upside down. The Barbarian marched a few paces, then turned to face the middle of the ring before attempting to throw Hikaru’s body down on the mat with an explosive scoop slam!

Hikaru was still on the ground in pain when her opponent kept the onslaught going. Hikaru had only sparingly witnessed a woman as strong as this and she was sure the way she was picked up things weren't going to go well. In the end Hikaru found out the hard, painful way that Saoirse could pull off a basic but effective scoop slam causing more ring shaking thunderous impact as well as agony than anyone else Hikaru had stepped in the ring with!

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Hikaru screamed as she kicked in pain, her face twisted in agony. The slam hurt like hell, and the ring ropes were still shaking from the impact.

The Barbarian watched Hikaru squirm and writhe in agony, not an ounce of sympathy or remorse to be found in her eyes over the pain she had inflicted. But neither was there any hint of sadistic enjoyment of the destruction she was causing. In fact, a small grunt she let out, if anything, said that wasn’t satisfied with this. There was something more she wanted.

Crouching by Hikaru’s head, she grabbed a fistful of the girl’s hair and used it to drag the girl up to her knees, ignoring the obligatory warning the ref was timidly issuing her. Then she let go of her foe, turned her head to face slightly away from her, and gave her own cheek a couple firm pats with her hand before giving a very simple order.

“Hit me.”

Hikaru couldn't believe what was happening. She was hauled up by the hair and grabbed at the grip of her opponent but then Saoirse backed off. She was just letting Hikaru hit her. This was humiliating for sure, but Hikaru wanted to make her pay for this arrogance! Hikaru screamed and got up rising to her feet moving right at Saoirse. She reared her arms back and deliver a trio of chops to the chest of the larger woman looking to make her feet some pain. More than anything Hikaru wanted to make her feel pain, and regret for simply letting Hikaru strike her.

While it may have felt embarrassing to Hikaru to be given a chance at a free hit, the Barbarian had not given the opening with an intent of humiliation. In fact, she had offered no consideration to the smaller woman’s feelings in the slightest. She was a warrior, one who prided herself on not just her own strength, but also her ability to withstand and overcome the best her enemies could throw at her.

She took a single step back to allow Hikaru room to get up as she screamed and pushed herself off the mat. And then the Barbarian offered no resistance as three stiff chops were slammed hard into her chest! The sound of each one echoed loud through the air, causing many to wince just at the noise of the impacts. Saoirse winced at the stinging blows, but held her ground through all of them. And right after the last one, she turned her body slightly before whipping both hands out toward Hikaru, aiming to return fire with a single, double-handed chop to the woman’s chest with all her might!
