Vivienne Bouclier vs Senji Takijima - Entwined

Vivienne was nothing if not persistent in her duties, she'd probably be up and the day after this match without the slightest outward expression of any damage taken if she had her way. Truthfully however she'd be feeling sore the next morning over after this exchange, still Vivienne pressed on regardless. For it was her duty. Vivienne would admit that Senji was certainly one of the more......stubborn guests she had to deal with but Vivienne was a believer in hard work and thus she knuckled down here.

Still Senji's knowledge of the craft meant that it was getting harder and harder to try and keep this guillotine choke going for the dutiful defender, Vivienne felt beads of sweat dripping down her forehead there as she strained and strained at the effort of it. It was becoming clear that this wasn't going to be worth the full effort here, Vivienne hissed in annoyance but she made sure to try and keep a cool head here.

The maid figured it was time to try and guard up there, she made to try and get her legs wrapped around Senji's waist and sought to close up in her position. True to Vivienne's nature she sought to tank herself up and force her opponent to try and figure out how he'd go from here. Still Ms Bouclier felt that she got her point across there after that exchange there that her offence was still nothing to scoff at either~

Yes, nothing to scoff at indeed.

She could see him furrow his eyebrows at the guard around her waist. For one of the rare occasions during a match, he chose to compliment her.

"Your guard isn't crushing like a novice but firm. You're not terrible at all, Vivienne..."

He trailed off in a conflicted tone, electing to continue his attempt to shatter her defenses despite his previous inclination towards talking. The young man wasn't used to encountering so many varieties of people, but had turned out to be more sociable as compared to his dear older brother. His intention to keep a low profile also contributed to this. It would take some time to break down his shell and let her in, if Vivienne wanted that. As stated with his other partners, he might be open to friendship, something more than that, or just competition. It just required time and concentration.

Back to the ground game, he sat there with his head raised up so she couldn't snatch it easily again. What to do. The stand up escape sounded good enough in his opinion. The soles of Senji's shoes found the ground, as he began standing up. It was a lowered position, but Vivienne wasn't out his deadlift range. If this was able to dislodge her, then Senji stepped over her legs - the right foot stepping over then the left foot stepping over, and stopped to lower into full mount. As an annoyance, Senji gave her a fast straight fist for either connection or avoidance to the jaw or her forearms if he did get this far....that's all he'd be able to do though.

"Nghgh......you know your craft well.....Mr Senji......." Vivienne hissed out, she'd manage a smile if she wasn't straining herself in this lockup and rolling session. But it wouldn't be easy to play mind games with one like Vivienne, who was used to the slings and barbs of her fellow maids being hurled her way from her early upbringing.

Still her opponent warranted a certain amount of respect to begin with given that Senji was a clear shark on the mat, nevertheless Vivienne believed she was being more than adequate entertainment for the lad. But he'd be excused before the night was out she inwardly swore. However Senji was persistent regardless, Vivienne had gotten a tad sloppy in her guard and her opponent had managed to steel their resolve enough to get moving and manage to advance inwards onto the maid.

Vivienne would grunt loudly as Senji's hand managed to slip past her guard and clock her right on the jaw, spots in her vision became apparent as her head slightly rolled. Yet she wasn't out of it here as her guard slacked but still remained hung onto her opponent, it was clear however that the dutiful defender was reeling.......

So it would seem. Vivienne was on the backfoot, and for the foreseeable future this was a great development on Senji's end even though he was in her guard. In this case, he thought it best to stick to ground and pound as opposed to going for another submission. Closed Guard (Top) wasn't a particularly good place for it. The legs around his waist were strong and stubborn. However, it would still not be too easy for Vivienne to win at this rate.

Senji went to shoot his right palm out and pin her left hand to the floor by the wrist. A light slam reverberated throughout the local ring at the success of the pinning technique if it were to happen. As he was left handed, he chose to use this as his attack as opposed to the usual focus of using his left for defense since he valued that more over offense. He reared it back and went to pop Vivienne in her jaw or forearm at a consistent rate to not gas himself out nor be too slow in his rate of hits. Again, he'd been feeling the tiniest inkling of sorrow but she wouldn't afford him the same mercy based on previous precedent. Well, all that was to be done now was to focus on the fight.

"Are you ready to give up, Vivienne?", He asked in a exerted fashion.

Vivienne was in it now, the maid was stuck and stunned underneath her opponent in a position that had Senji in a very advantageous position. Heck after stunning Vivienne would that head shot the lad was able to chip away at Vivienne's guard by getting one of her arms out the way, that was going to make protection even more harder there as Senji proceeded to start raining down some blows onto her jaw and head. The maid grunted and hissed from the shots as her vision blurred and her face felt numb and further numb each shot that came onto her. Still in a way, this was reminding Vivienne of her time being beaten in Paris on her way back for the orphanage......

Since then Vivienne had learned to fight properly, so that she could defend herself. So that she could defend Lady Charlotte, so that she could prove herself in the field of combat. The maid would hear Senji's inquiry about yielding.....the dutiful defender narrowed her eyes, glaring daggers at her opponent. In fairness the gesture might be appreciated, were Vivienne not having a trip down memory lane.......

"I shall not!" Vivienne yelled out, it seemed that a fire was lit in the maid's body there. She'd seek to snap her free arm around Senji's neck and drag it down while jerking her head up as fast and as swiftly as she could to headbutt Senji right between the eyes! Were the lad stunned enough by this Vivienne would seek to try and roll around and reverse the position, more so out of instinct rather than skill. She'd be flying by muscle memory and the seat of her bloomers!

The huntress yelled out a response at a commanding volume as she made her choice and exploded off the ground. Senji continued the punishment but found her arm had snapped up in order to clasp his head. And then, a pain exploded on his noise and bridge. She'd hit him in one of his body's sensitive spots. After that, they were rolled over.

Damn, he couldn't turtle! He could've tried if he had Vivienne in his own guard but she was far too high up for that.

When Senji found himself again after said dirty move, Senji saw she'd put them in Full Mount with him on the bottom. His mind screamed at him to defend the neck since she presumably still had her hand clasped around his nape. Plus, the little defender appeared to favor squeezing him judging by her previous pattern. That outburst, on the same hand, had come from somewhere deep within her soul. Senji supposed he had moments like that too, but even his endurance had its limits if the opponent was formidable and the rounds were audacious. To go about defending himself from a choke or Armbar, he kept both forearms running parallel to the sides of his neck. This would allow him to prevent her from wrapping her legs or arms around the body parts too easily. To add to this as a final struggle, Senji thrusted his hips for a bump towards the right. He grit his teeth at that as the sweat exhumed from his face....their back n' forth wouldn't conclude it seemed much to the assumed excitement of the audience. Senji was finding his coat hot to be in on an off-topic note, but wasn't able to take it off. He'd need to deal with it by ignorance then.

Vivienne wasn't known for being particularly aggressive and explosive, usually she had a demure and calm approach to battle and in life. Here was a side that was seldom seen by those that had truly tested Vivienne's patience and efforts, Senji was both a lucky and very, very unlucky sort here. Because he was bearing witness to the maid unleashing her effort in absolute earnest in an attempt to bring about some order and control to her presence here in the ring.

Senji seemed to be doing his best to try and steady himself in response to Vivienne's rather uncouth outburst there, still the maid was quite irate now at this point. No doubt driven by her desires to prove herself and for her ward, the dutiful defender was forgoing her namesake here in her change into total aggression.

Still the lad was making to move around on the mat while Vivienne loomed over him like a predator looming over its prey. The maid would try to lunge into a sort of side mount on Senji, seeking to drive a knee into the side of his ribs while pushing her hands down onto his shoulders to try and restrain him. This was a rare side of Vivienne being shown here, the side she had gotten from the streets of Paris shining and evident~

Senji noticed her getting particularly angry as their struggle continued. Just his luck that he would be on the receiving end. Predator and prey was a common analogy these days. That did not make it any less true. The next thing he knew, she'd scrambled onto his side from his bump presumably. Great, that'd at least got her off the mount. The con came in the form of a knee slamming into his ribs, Senji gave a suppressed yelp as to not scream. It wasn't crippling, just hurt like most moves. Senji continued his struggle underneath her, turning to face her properly while attempting to recover his guard.

However, there was one issue with his approach that became apparent whether Vivienne knew it or not. He couldn't do this, not in his current position. She was pinning him down. That said, Senji then switched to the closest idea that came to mind when underneath someone like this. Distance was important in grappling. Maybe a Turtle could work? He could only do that if her arms were off him.

Leaning into some improvisation, Senji tried to shoot the palm on the side the Defender was on into her chin in order to push her face away and therefore keep her distanced from him. This came with its risks but Senji would deal with them when the time came and if she exploited it. It looked like his opponent had the advantage for now regardless unlike before....

Vivienne was smelling blood in the water there, now that she was asserting herself she was starting to regain some of her composure here. Her practised background was helping to allow her annoyance to subside. Her focus was coming back into the forefront of her game plan now that Vivienne was getting a more vertical position, from here at this point in the match the maid could feel some tiredness actually ache into her bones.

It was a rare feeling given Vivienne could perform in her maidly duties till the wee hours of the morning, that was an impressive feat on his end there~ Still even with Vivienne's aggression subsiding there it gave way to a bit of sloppy defence on the usually dutiful defender, his palm would find its mark there on the maid. Making her naturally back away away a bit to allow Senji the chance to escape and perhaps work into a more vertical position.

Still such a thing drove Vivienne there, she'd make to shuffle into a three pointer stance as she was forced to abandon her top position. The maid's eyes unblinking and sharply focused, the dutiful defender would proceed to dash forward as if attempting a double leg takedown. Only to instead try and shoulder tackle into her opponent, her feet practically leaving the mat on the way forward as she wagered in this exchange!

["Now, I'm getting closer to beating her. I'm keeping up with Miss Vivienne too!"], Senji thought to himself as her defense prompted a bit of success on his half of the comparison. He could see her getting tired as well, and inferred that would contribute to his progress. Still, his muscles were inflamed with the fires of fatigue, even while both fighters were more or less able to continue. Every move Senji did spent energy, and in a perfect world she would've made him burn the minimal amount. On the other hand....

She could not bring Senji down easily, thus far, due to his troublesome body.

Senji would next find her off of him due to the push. Naturally, his base instincts advised him to get off the ground before he gets married to it. So, that's what he did. Senji pushed off using his arms after flipping on to his back as to ascend to his feet. His eyes flicked up to see the Defender turned Aggressor charging towards him. He braced for a sprawl by throwing his legs backwards but was stopped from doing that by getting slammed into from upstairs. The shoulder tackle ended up displacing Takijima onto his back.

The back of his head smacked against the hard canvas of the ring, making Senji see stars for just a fleeting moment. From a narrator's standpoint, Senji had enough stability to interject against Vivienne with one move of his choosing provided she didn't block his final attack for this turn. She'd regained this top position but as a result, was more spread out over his body in the instant after the takedown as opposed to being in full mount or side control as before. Senji, a little dizzy still, tried to use this opening to plant his right hand on her left shoulder and push her up before sending a single, somewhat hard punch to the jaw from his left fist. This made him turn towards the right, since he'd leaned into the hit and kept his southpaw suspended in the air for a little longer than usual....
