Yona Giovanni vs Renee Steinhauser: Round 3

Months felt like years, but now, the time had come. It was a strange detour in her life to say the least. She hadn't imagined that she would have found herself reuniting with her high school bully, and her rather, weird, but seemingly good-hearted brat of a former classmate. Moreover, that she'd be in a strange point in her life romantically—the pendulum of her heart flipping from Raven to Phoebe, and vice versa. The heel, in her heart, missed Raven slightly, and had realized the motherly woman's worth in her life, but it seemed all too late for them to reconcile, and it didn't help but either that she had finally made her relationship with Phoebe an official thing. The two haven't talked about it, but it seemed to cheer up the blonde wrestler, who had seemed rather on edge since she met back up with Raven.
She felt bad that she left that thread loose, knowing that she wouldn't have much time for her woman when the smoke cleared from this match. The most she could do was a temporary relationship between the two. She thought she was doing the right thing for the women she loved, but it only throws the brunette into a corner in her love life. She wasn't going to have much time for Phoebe, and she might not have gotten over Raven just yet, even if the two's relationship had officially crashed and burned. Her very heated match with her former lover didn't help either, since it brought a spotlight back onto her identity, and why she was so upset at Raven.
Louise's relationship with Raven was well-known, even for such a short period, so it stood to reason that Yona's public relationship with the black-haired heel would once again bring a spotlight to who she really was behind her mask. It's a surprise that she's managed to keep it on for so long, and that the public opinion hadn't immediately landed on her actually being Louise Heisenberg. Then again, it wasn't an unpopular theory. It had left her with butterflies in her stomach, but she planned on revealing the truth tonight. It didn't help that Aya had been oddly silent lately, despite her interest in their rivalry. She did get an offer to meet the woman in her office, but being in the same room as her shitty great-grandmother, and the wrestler that fucked her over in the first place, wasn't a great idea. It might as well be moments before a disaster. Instead, she did what she'd consider the mature response, and just not respond or arrive whatsoever. Even so, she had to focus on overcoming Renee first, and when the time was right, focus on Aya. It was especially necessary when she was the woman that could single-handedly drop her career or help it flourish after she revealed her identity, and the truth about her life.
She hid herself under a hoodie, and some casual clothes, watching the empty ring from afar. Soon, she'd have to come over there and take on her last match of the year. Her legs trembled, and her heart pumped loudly. She began to doubt in her ability—doubting all factors of her plan. It was clear that Renee had instilled of fear in Yona. The heel could face anything, but put in the ring against her rival, she'd break into a cold sweat. Aya had pointed it out all too well, that her plan was rather ridiculous, especially when faced with genuine risk of legal trouble. Last night, she had been visited by a detective—the same one that showed up at her door the day she ran away from Raven. It was a surprise to say the least, but she was filled with much more dread than ever before. Law enforcement had no clue of her involvement in any crimes, but it wasn't as if no one was trying to figure out her dark secrets. She had never even thought about it until the detective mentioned it, but she truly did put a target on her back, running away from her previous promotion, and using her real name. In hindsight, she acted irrationally, and everything that happened up to this point could have been avoided. Near the end, the somewhat bitchy detective told her she could use some therapy. It was a strange thing to hear, coming from someone that was trying to find incriminating things about her, but she made good, logical points. It was strange. She had never met someone that touched her heart. Of course, not romantically, but Sandra was smart—she knew what questions to ask. She whittled Yona down to size, while still leaving her with a lurking fear that she'd return eventually to take the heel back to Greece to face trial.
It's what led her to her feelings now; unsure if she could reveal her secrets tonight like she planned. After everything Sandra had told her, she now had holes that revealed her insecurities like never before. She pondered how everyone would react to the truth. She didn't bring her mask today—only an eye patch. She had enough confidence to hide amongst the audience without her mask, but the anticipation for her rival to arrive was grueling on her mind, that was still dwelling on what Sandra had laid on her lap just hours before her big moment. However, everyone would snap their head in the direction of the middle corridor, a loud thud bursting from beneath the ramp, as the show began. Yona followed suit, rushing herself out of the passageway, and crowds of fans, aware that the match was soon to start, and Renee was approaching.
