Natasha slowly began circling back around Emily, her arms raised up protectively. "Ready..."

She watched Emily closely as they circled around each other, finally lunging towards her after a moment of this, wanting to begin their spar with the traditional grapple.

Emily eyed Natasha as well, raising her own arms. She felt herself tensing. She knew how good Natasha was, both by reputation and by experience, so she had to be ready for anything the Russian might pull.

Natasha, however seemed to want to begin the match in a very straightforward manner as she rushed in for a grapple. Obligingly, Emily surged forward to meet her. 'Negggh..." Her head rested against Natasha's shoulder as the two of them locked up collar and elbow, shoving, twisting and pushing at each other as they matched strength against strength.

Natasha's own head leaned against Emily's as she dug her feet into the mat of the practice ring. She bit her bottom lip, struggling against Emily, remembering just how strong the woman she thought of as her rival really was. She pushed against Emily, vying for the advantage, her arms flexing as struggled against her.

"Nnnngh..." Emily was breathing through clenched teeth as she and Natasha battled for supremacy. The Russian was just as strong as she remembered from their last battle, and was as good a grappler as well. She felt her arm muscles tense up as she pushed against Natasha, the two of them deadlocked for a moment in the centre of the ring.

"Say...are we...allowing...throws an' slams?" she asked, only thinking of this one rules issue now. If Natasha said yes, then Emily would instantly arch back to toss Natasha overhead onto the mat, though if the Russian moved to try the same thing, then Emily would kick her legs up around Natasha's midsection for a scissor to prevent that. If Natasha said no, then Emily would scissor her waist anyway, falling onto her back so that she would be in a good position to grind Natasha's midsection between her thighs.

"Of course..." Natasha replied as she struggled against Emily. She thought the woman's question was strange, and wondered why Emily would ask that...and then found getting flung through the air and into the mat. She stayed down for a moment, stunned partly by shock and partly by amusement. After a moment she began to rise back up, only for Emily to suddenly snake her legs around her waist, scissoring the Russian nice and tightly.

Natasha winced at this, her hands quickly moving towards Emily's legs in hopes of prying them open. "Tch...clever of you, da..." She muttered under her breath as she tried to make her escape from the move.

"Why thankee lass," Emily said back with a slight smile as she locked her ankles tightly behind Natasha's back, leaning her own body back to increase the pressure of the hold. Feeling Natasha struggling against her to escape, Emily reached her arms forward to grab a hold of Natasha's elbows in an effort to keep her under control.

As Emily leaned back, Natasha closed her eyes, tilting her head backwards and letting out a low groan as she felt the hold grow stronger. Her hold on Emily's legs loosened as she felt the grinding increase, her arms going a bit limp. This, of course, put them into the perfect position to Emily to grab, holding them tight. Natasha groaned again, trying to ignore the scissor for now as she tried to pull her arms back forwards again, wanting to break them free from her rival's grip.

Emily gritted her teeth as Natasha squirmed in her grip, trying to pry her arms loose. Grimly, Emily held on as best she could, locking her ankles tightly behind the Russian's back as she fought to keep Natasha under control.

"Give up yet, lass?" she asked as the two fought practically chest to chest on the mat.

Natasha couldn't help but to keep squirming against Emily's body, rubbing against her as she tried to find a way out of the scissor.

Finally, she came to a conclusion, that there was only one way out of this. "Never!" She replied to Emily's question, a brief instant later swinging her head straight towards Emily's face, trying to nail her with a close-ranged headbutt in hopes of getting her to break or loosen her hold.

Emily gritted her teeth as she and Natasha struggled on the mat, feeling the Russian's warm breath on her face. She grinned a little, despite herself. She had to admit, this spar between them was pretty fun so far--

Her train of thought was interrupted when Natasha swung her head forwards, and Emily felt a tremendous impact against her skull. Colours exploded across her vision, and her double grip on Natasha was lost as she was swhent toppling backwards, clutching her head while moaning and kicking fitfully at the mat. "Ffffffffeck...." she swore, not particularly caring at the moment how unladylike she sounded.
