A newbie's sticky welcome-Cally vs. Gum

Cally inhaled deeply, and adjust her belt. She was standing at the bottom of the ramp, waiting for her first match. Her first match! She couldn't believe she had been accepted into an elite wrestling league, even if it was erotic. She laid her goggles aside, and popped another stick of strawberry gum in her mouth.

Soon she heard the announcer call her name, and the opening chords of Rush's holy grail played over the loudspeakers. She put on a brave face and went up to see whoever her opponent would be. The crowed roared to the newcomer, and she spun in her dark red pilot's outfit, her mini skirt billowing out. She took no notice to the ring, or anything that was off about it...

Already waiting in the ring for Jilly's entrance was Gum, leaning confidently against her corner, trying to hide the excitement in her face. She had already fought in two matches here in the AFW, and had won both of them quite decisively. She couldn't wait for this third match, and was quite eager to get it starter.

There was a small complication, however. She had been warned that she was going up against another newcomer like herself, and she didn't have a problem with that. The issue, was that she had been told this was a new type of match they were trying out, something called a 'tire swing' match. In the middle of the ring, a tire hung from the rafters of the arena on a tight rope. The winner of the match, was whoever could get their opponent into the tire for a full count of ten. It was an odd type of match, Gum thought to herself, but nothing she couldn't handle.

She stepped out of her corner, just a step, and started to do a few light stretches, waiting for Cally to make her full entrance.

Cally turned to her opponent. The lithe girl, dressed in green, had a smirk of confidence. That didn't bother Cally, she had overheard that Gum was only 2 matches her senior. She was curious, though, about the tire hanging in the ring. She vaguely remembered the ref saying something about how the loser was determined by whoever was held in the tire for 10 seconds, without the opponent interfering (i.e. holding them in) She shrugged it aside. Cracking her knuckles, Cally gave a fiery grin and got ready to rumble.

Gum grinned, stepping further out of her corner, towards the center of the ring. She stepped a bit to the side, so she could see past the low hanging tire, letting her eyes trace over Cally slowly, then back up, meeting the girl's gaze as she called out to her.

"Hey, girl!" She yelled, raising a fist to pound it into the open palm of her other hand. "Hope you can put up a good fight~!"

"Oh I can!" Cally called back, pockeeting the gum in her cheek. "Question is, can you handle it?" She smirked, spreading her legs under her.

Gum stifled a small laugh. The girl seemed spunky, and she liked that. She seemed like she would be fun to fight against!

The bell finally rang to start things, and the moment it did, Gum took off towards Cally. Once she drawed close to the girl, she would raise her leg, swinging it in a deft rising arc towards the girl's head, a high kick to try and start the match off with.

Cally felt an adrenaline rush as the bell rang. Suddenly, before she knew it, Gum was half way across the floor. "Holy cow she's fas-ah!" She yelped, ducking under a kick to the head. Quickly she lunged forward, wrapping her arms around her attacker's waist, hoping to knock her down while off balance..

Gum's kick hit nothing but air, but the leggy blonde wasn't too surprised. It was a bit too early for a huge, telegraphed attack like that, she was mainly testing out Cally to see what kind of reflexes the girl had. She was more surprised when the girl came charging towards her, throwing her arms around her waist and tackling Gum to the mat.

"H-hey, get off!" She barked at the girl when they landed upon the canvas, raising up her arm. With a single swift movement, she swung it towards Cally's head, trying to smash her forearm against the side of the girl's skull.

Cally grinned as she felt her and Gum tumble down. As they hit the mat she rolled to the right, hoping to flatten her opponent. Suddenly a sharp crack hit her head."Ah!" She cried. "Why you..." she mumbled, dazed.

Gum felt a bit smug as her forearm smashed into Cally's skull. It had made a good, solid impact, and the girl seemed dazed by it. Quickly, the blonde gave her body a jerk, trying to throw Cally off of herself, then she would roll to the opposite direction, onto her belly. She started to rise, pushing herself up, staring at Cally all the while.

"Heh...I can tell, you're not bad..." She muttered towards the girl, pleased at how that first exchange between them had went. "Bet I'm better, though!"
