Intensive Training: Kia & Tina

"Jumping in at the deep end is how i got into this wrestling stuff" Kia giggled lightly. It was true. The female had only agreed t join this league in the hope of finding out the location of her mother or meeting Kira

"Anyway, What are we working on next?" Kia asked as she took a step back to lean against the ropes to allow her a moment to relax.

"Easy Tiger, walk before you can run." Tina said, moving to ruffle her student's hair. "It depends on what you feel comfortable with, if you want we can still work on strikes or maybe move on to general strength and fitness and then grappling technique."

"How bout a bit of spar?" Kia smirked a little bit "Give me a idea of what i might be up against soon...after all i prefer running not walking" Kia's smirk turned into a goofy grin as she took a step off the ropes as she was ready for whatever they were doing next.

Tina just shrugged and smiled at her student's insistance to spar with her, she had tried to put this off because she didn't want to get carried away with putting the hurt on the rookie, but if she really wanted to... "If you want, I'll try and go easy on you for the moment." She said, putting away the pads and dropping into a more grappling stance. "You could show me how much you know about grappling too, or I could show you what happens when you make it to easy to dodge strikes. Showtime."

Kia dropped into a grappling stance. Kia was going to show Tina she could keep up. "let's try grappling first" she edged closer to Tina and when she was close enough she tried to lock up and push against Tina

Tina was more than willing to accept the lock up, starting with a simple collar and elbow tie-up. But then the Amercian veteran started pulling and pushing, moving every-which way to put Kia on guard, there was more to these lock ups than just pushing back and forth, when grappling you needed to think in circles, because your opponent could side step and spin around. That and following the Superstar's quick movements were a good way to find yourself off balance.

Kia was most certainly off balance. The waves of pulling and pushing was causing Kia to lose the lock up and start going backwards towards the ropes. She tried to dig her feet in to slow the process down but instead all it did was serve to somehow speed it up. Making her body rigid didn't seem to work. So Kia tried to twist to the side, trying to turn the energy that Tina was creating into a spin move. She would try and twist Tina's body so that she was now roughly behind Kia but Kia still had contact with the arm. This gave her the perfect chance to tug on Tina and pull her over Kia's shoulder and Slam Tina nto the canvas.

Of course, Tina could always of worked out what Kia was trying to do and counter it. Sadly Kia hadn't thought of that and acted on impulse

Tina, smirked as Kia started to get aggressive, not letting her sensei bully her around with the grappling and quickly trying to throw the Superstar around herself. Breaking part of the grip so she could pull the blonde over her hip, basic hip throw. "Not a bad effort," she said trying to step around so she was side on and not belly to back with her student, "But you got to soften them up before going for a big throw like that." the wrestling instructor continued before trying to trip the younger Kia up, sweeping the backs of her legs while trying to stay balanced herself. But she herself had spent a little too much time taunting, instead of going for a counter straight away she had given her student a chance to escape the bad situation.

Kia was still a student, and she was amazed her simple throw had managed to find its mark and get the superstar down. However Kia was not expecting the taunt or the sudden sweep which caused Kia to heavily loose her balance and fall to the floor, slamming into the canvas. She let out a gasp as she hit the canvas, stuck in a state of sudden shock.
