AV 15 Hardcore Title Boiler Room Brawl: Adrian Kytes(c) Vs. River Styx

Adrian didn't so much 'breathe' a sigh of relief as River finally let go of her throat, more like a hacking cough of relief as the former cosplayer tried to suck in as much air as possible to get precious oxygen despite how much her internal organs felt as though they were on fire. How nice of River to try and smother those flames by just crushing the Hardcore Champ into a nice fleshy goop. "..!" She didn't even have the room to make a sound of pain as River squeezed down on her.

Grimacing and gasping from the sheer agony, Adrian did what came natural to her when being crushed out like this, and was something she had tried to do when River had first tried to bear hug her, this time however, her arms were free. As the bald brawler glared at the fading fighter, Adrian pulled her hand over the bald woman's face, trying to dig her fingers in to gouge River's eyes out.

The sinister smile was starting to creep along Styx’s face as Adrian writhed in her hold. It was like she had an oversized, cosplayer-shaped stress ball to squeeze. ”I’m gonna break you in half.” She leaned back, lifting her prey off the ground for some extra pressure. She took a quick step back to make sure one of the nearby cameras caught a good angle, too.. ”They’re gonna have to drag you out of with...with a…”

At first, Styx just thought Adrian was randomly flailing around and fumbling as the life fled her body, but she learned just how wrong that notion was when she felt those fingers pushing into her eye sockets. Styx shrieked - a hoarse, guttural noise - and haphazardly flung Adrian away, before she stumbled down the hall. ”Jesus fuck, you rutty little cunt!” She ran her hands over her watering eyes, so distracted that she accidentally bumped against a wall. ””Fuck!”

Once again Adrian was sent flying out of River's grasp, rolling to a stop on the boiler room floor as the bald brawler stumbled away blindly down the corridor, maybe towards victory "Fuck!" Maybe not. The hardcore champion's desperate gambit had earned her a way out of River's bearhug, but she was still down and almost out. Blood dripping down onto the concrete as she tried to push herself up to her knees and start to crawl.

She had no idea where she was going, she just had to get somewhere, away from River, get some time away, wipe the blood off, pull herself upright and then maybe find a way to win. Possibly, if she was heading the right way. All the tight corridors looked the same through bloodstained streaks of hair, not that she could read the Mongolian signs anyway.

Something was wrong with Styx’s left eye. It wasn't permanent, nothing unfixable - she hoped - but Adrian’s fumbling had knocked it out of whack, and for whatever reason, opening her eyelids hurt. She’d worry about it later, because her right eye still worked fine, and it saw the hardcore champion moving towards her victory. That absolutely wasn't going to happen while Styx could still move.

She stalked after Adrian from behind, still limping along with an awkward gait. She was behind by a fair bit, but that didn't deter her. After all, in a place like this, there were likely to be a few dead ends or obstacles to slow Adrian down, too. It was a straight shot, and if the champion paused for just a few seconds, it might be all the time she needed.

”Hey! Hey!” Styx’s voice echoed down the hall. ”Get the fuck back here! We’re not done!”

Adrian's crawl stumbled to a halt as River called out to her, the champion twisting around so she was shuffling backwards on her ass instead, having learned last time what happens when you turn your back to River Styxx. Also, there was a little bit of a bonus to going backwards like this: it only required one hand, the other could be used to flip River the bird while she made her slow getaway into... another wall "aww man..." She groaned, bracing herself up against the wall as she tried to stand back up. She'd pretty much just trapped herself in a corner. Stupid boiler rooms and their stupid confusing layouts and their stupid lack of health and safety guidelines.

”Fuck me, huh?” Styx returned the favor with a middle of her own as she started to close in on her once more, but she paused when her foot tapped against the side of the fire extinguisher on the floor. She’d knocked it down when she slammed Adrian over it a moment ago, and now it was by her feet, begging to be used. She’d happily oblige.

Styx wiped the blood away from her good eye and reached down, hefted the fire extinguisher up above her head. It wasn’t exactly light, about twice as heavy as any she’d seen in the states, but she managed to hold it in position while she got as much of a running start as she could with her bad ankle. Styx hurled it towards the cornered champion, flinging it down the hall without the slightest bit of concern for her opponent’s well-being. As per usual. ”Fuck you!”

That was bad. That was very bad. "Fuck!" Adrian shrieked as she pushed herself to one side as the fire extinguisher was hurled straight at her, making a full blown dent in the wall as it collided and bounced back with enough force to clip Adrian's side on the rebound, once again dropping the former cosplayer back down to ground, stuck in the corner. At least her ribs were still somewhat in one piece... she hoped... and probably not for much longer if River had anything to say about it.

Puffing and panting on the floor, she tried to use the small adrenaline rush to push herself back up to her hands and knees, get some movement going as she scrambled to her feet, trying to get as much speed as possible as she did the unthinkable: she charged straight at River, keeping her shoulder low as she dived into her with a spear.

When the fire extinguishers hit the wall, the nozzle was dislodged and it immediately started spew in all directions, sprinkling them both with droplets of foam. Styx could hardly be bothered to notice. Her focus was front and center on the dead woman that was heading straight towards her at ramming speed. ”Come in, bitch!” She barked and raised her fist for a double-axe handle. ”Come on and-”

Adrian was moving a little faster than she'd anticipated, and she wound up crashing into Styx before she could fully drop the hammer. To make matters worse, her impact was harder than expected, too - Styx stumbled out of the hallway and toward the loading bay after the impact, struggling to keep her footing.

Maybe she would have tripped, maybe she wouldn't. The point was rendered moot, as a wooden pallet on the floor made sure that happened. She tripped over it as she backpedaled and wound up crashing on her back, falling hard enough to break it with her rough landing.

Her back sprayed with cold anti-fire foam, and broken pieces of wood around her, Adrian had been through better times in her career. The brunette's shoulder ached from colliding with someone sixty pounds heavier and the adrenaline rush that had bought her the burst of speed was slowly seeping away, leaving her an exhausted mess on top of the bald brawler. But she was on top.

Climbing to try and mount River, she pulled her aching arm back before swinging it down, trying to smack her loaded elbow down onto the bald brawler's face as the two lied in the mess of wood and foam.

Thanks to Styx’s completely FUBAR peripheral vision, she didn't see Adrian’s elbow coming. But she felt it. Oh, fuck, did she feel it, as it crashed against her cheek and filled her remaining good eye with stars. She was also fairly certain a rusty nail was jabbing into her back, made worse by the champion on her chest. To top it all off, Styx sword she could hear the faint sound of the crowd cheering.

Fun times. Fuck Mongolia.

Growing more desperate than she’d ever want to admit out loud, Styx fumbled around and grabbed the first thing her fingers slid across - a plank of wood from the broken pallet, as it turned out. She twisted to the side and lashed out with a wild swing, aiming for the side of Adrian’s head and hoping it hurt worse than the loaded elbow had.
