AV 15 Hardcore Title Boiler Room Brawl: Adrian Kytes(c) Vs. River Styx

Adrian panted on top of River, trying to push herself back up to fire another heavy elbow down on top of River when she started to hear something other than their various groans of agony. Something... that sounded like it was either fairly quiet or loud but far away, not mechanical either. At first she thought it was just her ears acting up... and her brain acting up from being thrown around so much, but no. This was real, it kind of sounded like people, civilization, victory.

Unfortunately for the champion, she wouldn't get time to investigate, as soon as she lifted her head up and brushed some of the blood-clotted hair out of her face, she was greeted with a very unpleasant sight, a yellow piece of wood heading straight for her head. She got smacked hard with the plank, flopping down over to one side next to River as she waited for the patterns to stop spinning.

With Adrian taken care of for what would likely be a brief moment, Styx instinctively reached into her pocket for the brass knuckles...and found nothing. Confusion reigned for a couple of seconds, until she remembered dropping them in the hall, after Adrian had scrambled to get them off her fingers.

There wasn’t any time to go find them, but the memory did give Styx an idea of what to do next. That elbow had been a pain in her ass throughout the brawl, and it was time she took care of it.

Styx rolled to her side, grabbed the loaded elbow, planted one boot in Adrian’s side, and started to pull the damned thing off the champion’s arm. Maybe she could even wear it herself - it would be a tight fit, but Adrian had a bit more muscle than Styx would’ve guessed at a distance, so there was a chance. The idea of beating her senseless with her own weapon definitely appealed.

Adrian didn't put up any resistance when River placed a boot to her ribs and started to yank at her elbow. She looked as though she was out like a light after taking that last shot, but looking like she was unconscious and actually being unconscious were two different things.

The hardcore champion was dimly aware that her most useful weapon was being stripped away, much like she had tried to do to River earlier, but unlike the bald brawler: Adrian wasn't about to pop up and start choking anyone any time soon, better to play possum while River fiddled around with her arm instead of hitting her hard, even if it did mean having to deal with the pain of River's boot digging in to her side, she could still feel a small thing dig up against her wrist as her free hand laid down on the floor, she was down but not out.

Styx's hand was hardly at its most dexterous today, so she had a little trouble getting the loaded elbow off its rightful owner, fumbling and fidgeting all the way. But eventually she got the job done. "Get the fuck off, get the fuck off..."

And there it went, slipping off Adrian's arm. Styx took a moment to examine it - nice and heavy, solid, good weight. Styx fully intended to keep it, too. She didn't plan on doing any vanilla matches after she won the hardcore title, but it wouldn't hurt to have a little something hidden in case she had to.

Styx pushed off the ground and, after a little stumbling, rose to her feet. She slipped the loaded elbow on as she straightened, raised her arm up, and fell back down with one of the most so sophisticated moves in her arsenal: an elbow drop.

Okay, now was the time to pounce: River was busy trying to fit on the loaded elbow pad and was no longer leaving a footprint on her jacket. The perfect time to get back up and fight back. The perfect time. The perfect time.... the perfect... oh dear. Adrian thought to herself as she tried to move away. Emphasis on 'tried'. Her mind was still working at speed, but the rest of her body was still on the lie down unmoving part of the plan and hadn't gone on to the 'get out of the way' stage. She just about rolled on to her chest before River fell on top of her. Adrian's very own loaded elbow pad driven painfully down in between her shoulder blades, earning a squeal of pain as the former cosplayer was flattened on the ground underneath the 190lb brawler.

Not exactly what Styx was aiming for, but the blow to Adrian’s back was solid enough. It certainly got a good sound out of the hardcore champion, making a squeal that Styx would cherish for years to come.

Now that she had a moment to breath - or wheeze, really - Styx took a look around as she laid on Adrian’s back. They were in the loading area, and it seemed like there were all sorts of goodie’s to play around with. Unopened boxes that contained who-knew-what, a toolbox, a couple of small ladders, even a forklift. What most caught her interest, though, was nestled off to the side of the room: a folding table. Just sitting there all pretty, begging to be broken in half.

”Gimme one sec.” Styx gave Adrian a hard pat on the head, stood back up, and made her way over to what would likely be the last the party favor of the evening.

Adrian let out a wheeze of pain as River picked herself up off her spine and stopped crushing the former cosplayer. Most of the damage had been done already as the brunette flopped around onto her back while River went to pick her potential perilous item of choice from the... loading area? They were in a loading bay? Loading bays had doors, didn't they? That meant there was a chance to escape. Maybe.

Her breathing was heavy and laboured as she shuffled around on the concrete, her initial idea of using the poison mist sachet was out of the window now, she wouldn't be able to spit it out properly, or not just choke on the damn thing, but that didn't mean she was out of desperation options yet. With one vision obscuring technique out of the window she still had the other one she'd slipped under her wristband. All she had to do was reach down and find where her mini lighter had slipped to in the carnage, and pull it out of her tights and the flash paper from within her wristband while River was busy setting up the grand finale.

Crawling over to one of the walls, she sat herself up against it and curled in, giving the lighter a bit of a test before she made the painful decision to stand back up again.

With fatigue setting in, placing the table was a bit harder than Styx anticipated, but she managed to heft it up after a moment and put it into position against a nearby wall. It did look a wee bit lonely, though. Just sitting there, all bare and empty. Could’ve used some decorations. Styx would’ve loved to set it on fire, but she lacked the appropriate tools.

A quick scan around the room found the second best thing, though - glass, in the form of a beer bottle someone had left lying around next to the stairs. Styx grabbed it, emptied out the quarter of beer inside it with a few chugs, then smashed it on the tabletop. Some of the shards slipped off the side after the impact, but more than enough were laying on top to make sure that Adrian’s crash would be twice as painful.

”There we go.” Styx turned back to Adrian and dusted her hands off, wearing the smile of a woman who, while she felt like shit, knew she was about to have one less bitch to worry about in a few moments. ”Don’t worry, I set it up right this time.”

Styx started to make her way over to Adrian, ready to give her the finishing blow.

"...Good..." Adrian wheezed, as she caught a glimpse of the glass and beer covered table, at least it wasn't on it's side this time so River was doing at least something better this time around. It was still going to suck for whoever potentially went through it, but thankfully Adrian had no plans of being intimately acquainted with that death trap. Flicking her lighter on and putting the flash paper to it, she pushed herself forward and opened her hands releasing one of the oldest wrestling tricks in the book. A classical Memphis Fireball with the added nerdy call of "Hadouken!"

As Styx approached Adrian, she expected her fallen for to try something to save herself at the last moment. She couldn't imagine what, especially since she seemed to finally be running on her last legs, but she figured she could handle whatever it was.

As the flame came hurtling towards her, though, she realized just how wrong that notion was. A fireball wasn't exactly the sort of thing you could really prepare yourself for. ”Holy shit!”

The fireball hit the center of Styx’s shirt, started to catch on fire, and Styx reacted like any animal on Earth would in such a situation: she completely lost her shit. [color=#000000]”Fuck! Fuck, get it the fuck off!”[//color] Styx danced around and flailed as she desperately tried to pull off her inflamed clothes. ”God damn it!”
