AV 14 Main Event: Angel (C) Vs. Taylor Parker for the World Friction Title!

Angel was tough. Angel was damn tough, and as most of her past opponents had learned, she could take a lot of punishment before she finally went down.

But getting suplexed straight into a hard, cement floor like that? It didn't matter how tough you were, you weren't going to just get up from that and shake it off.

Even with Taylor taking a moment to call out to Junko, Angel was still down and in a stunned sort of daze by the time the blonde turned her attention back to her. Her legs were slowly shifting back and forth, her chest heaving as she took in a series of short, ragged breaths, and that trickle of blood was still running down her face. Other then that, however, she wasn't moving, only a low groan coming from her lips.

Over onto her stomach she was flipped, near the barricade. Up Taylor came, and then back down, dropping her knees straight into her back. Taylor's knees usually hurt enough on their own, but after the suplex, Angel was quite softened up, her back in a vulnerable state, and the impact of both knees driving down into her from such great heights was just unbearable.

A scream passed her lips as Taylor made contact, her body spasming, her arms and legs, and her head, lifting up for a brief moment, before flopping back to the floor. Her arms slid towards her head, and Angel buried her face against them, her feet lightly kicking at the ground as she whimpered into her arms.

The champ was down, and control had shifted back to Taylor once more.

"Yes. It's awful." Juno said simply. Still, she had a bit of a wry smile on her face when she said it, grinning at her daughter in spite of her words. It didn't matter that it looked like Taylor lost a fight with a meat tenderizer, she'd always be beautiful to Junko, especially with what she was doing to Angel.

Still kneeling across Angel's back, Taylor glanced back at Junko with an exaggerated pouty face, which hurt her nose so she stopped.

She got up and stepped on the back of Angel's head to keep her pinned in place while she grabbed one of the girl's kicking feet. She tucked the ankle under her arm and lifted Angel's way up high, until only her chest and head were left on the floor, and then she pulled almost straight down to bend Angel into a spectacular arch. She contorted her body with her signature single-leg crab, wrenching on her leg and damaging her lower back, and she didnt hold back.

"What about her?" She called back over her shoulder to Junko.

"She's still not as pretty as you." Junko quipped. "I think you have some work to do still."

As soon as Taylor reached for her leg, lifting it upwards, Angel knew what was going to happen. She knew she was in trouble. Her heart began to pound against her chest, her breath growing faster, harder, in anticipation of what was to come. She wanted to fight Taylor off, she wanted to try and escape before the blonde could lock in her signature hold, but she didn't couldn't find the energy, and Taylor had her pinned down too firmly, her foot keeping her head in place.

She closed her eyes, anxiously waiting for it to happen, and then...there it was. Taylor lifted her off of the floor, jerking her leg straight backwards, bending Angel into a near perfect-C shape.

The Latina began to scream, almost as soon as Taylor had her leg bent back. She didn't want to, she didn't want to give Taylor that satisfaction, but she couldn't stop herself. It was the wail of a banshee, a terrible shriek escaping her, her fists pounding angrily at the floor as Taylor put the pressure on her. Her back hurt, and her leg was hurting even more then before, and she knew, she knew that if she couldn't break free from this, that it would all be over.

But it hurt too much. Taylor was just too good with the single-legged crab, and Angel was just in too much pain. She couldn't focus. She couldn't think of way out. She was trapped, completely at the mercy of the punky blonde challenger.

"I'm not gonna break her nose or anything, man..." Taylor said quietly, mostly to herself.

Of course, if it happened, it happened. But she wasn't going to intentionally cause injury to someone just to be a dick. Meanwhile, Angel was trapped beneath her and screaming in agony, which sort of put things in perspective. It was a weird sport.

Taylor crept her feet as far forward as she could to put as much of her body weight as possible into breaking Angel in half. The girl was tough, mentally and physically, and she proved as much last time, but there could be no doubt as to the effects the hold was having on her. The crowd roared in anticipation of a tapout, but Taylor knew it wasn't coming.

She relaxed and let Angel flop back to the floor. She couldn't keep that up forever.

"Hah... hah..." She panted. Not being able to breathe normally was wearing her out, and with the pain in her back she needed a little breather.

She bent to pick up Angel by her short, white hair, and dragged her up to her feet. She grabbed her wrist and slung her toward the ring, as if for an Irish whip, but braced herself and yanked her back in while she dropped to the side in a drop toe hold, to trip Angel and send her down face-first into the metal barricade.

Angel dropped to the floor, panting heaving, her eyes closed tight. She was covered in a light sheen of sweat, her entire body aching. No, not aching. Hurting. She couldn't remember the last time she had been pushed this far in a fight. Not against Adrian, not against Natasha, and definitely not against Natalia. Taylor was hurting her worse then anyone had hurt her in a long, long time, and she couldn't help but listen to the voice in the back of her head, screaming at her about how much trouble she was in, about how she should give it in before things got even worse for her.

But no. She wouldn't. She couldn't. She could still turn this back around. She knew she could do it. She had to do it. There was just too much riding on this for her to back down now. She just needed a chance to kick off Taylor's head again, or to catch her in another submission. Something. Anything. She could do this. She just needed that one chance.

But, for now, she wasn't going to get that chance. Taylor pulled her up, and swung the Latina around, Angel feeling slightly dizzy as the blonde whipped her one way, then back in towards herself. Down the champion went as Taylor tripped her up, her forehead slamming straight into the barricade. She bounced off of it and fell back down, onto her back, her arms and legs spread wide at her sides. As if the slow trickling blood from her nose wasn't bad enough, Taylor had send her into the barricade with enough force to cause a gash to open across her forehead, another oozing stream of blood slowly running down her face.

Taylor turned onto her hands and knees and crawled to Angel. She shoved her onto her back, enough that while the champ laid across the fallen barricade, her shoulders were on the floor.

She wrapped her arms over Angel's body, squeezing the girl's arm tightly against her side, and slipped one leg in between Angel's to inhibit her ability to kick. She pressed her body down on top of Angel and closed her eyes.

The ref, nearly invisible until this point, was instantly at the ready. "ONE!" She counted, and the crowd held their breath.

Angel barely showed any signs of life as Taylor slid onto her, pressing herself down against the champion. She lied there, still and unmoving, as the referee continued the count, everyone on the edge of their seats as they watched, waiting to see if this was it.

"TWO!" came the second count, the entire arena silent, watching, waiting. Was this it? Was the AFW going to crown their new champion, right here and right now?

No...! was the single thought going through Angel's head, some part of her still awake, screaming at her to do something. Her eyes fluttered open, the champion sharply inhaling, trying to gather her strength.

"TH--"

The referee began the final count, but no sooner then she began to yell it out, Angel's body suddenly moved, the Latina jerking herself to one side, lifting her shoulder off the floor to break the pin, stopping the referee's count in it's tracks. Afterwords, though, Angel drooped back down, still stuck lying underneath Taylor's body.

Taylor didn't make a sound, but the crowd perfectly expressed how she felt.

"Awwww..."

Without a fuss, Taylor took a deep breath and began to get up. One the way, she grabbed Angel's ankle, of the same leg she had worked over the whole match. She twisted it to roll Angel onto her stomach and then lifted the leg up high before smashing the knee down on the metal barricade. Maybe Angel wouldn't stay down for a pin, but Taylor was going to make sure she couldn't get up.
