A Kickboxer's Submission Lesson - Page 5 Empty Re: A Kickboxer's Submission Lesson

With the current position she was in, Konata couldn't do much to fend off Akino's hold. The pain she was in had left her stunned. For such a simple move, it was really painful, and it only got worse as Akino increased the pressure. "Gaaaaaaaah!" Her pained cries grew louder. The armbar quickly started became unbearable to deal with, but she was still trying to hold on and ride it out. Partly to impress her teacher with her resilience, partly because her masochist nature wanted to keep this going, and partly because she just flat out didn't want to tap out and lose this quickly, especially after all that smack she talked. But alas, she started to tapped onto the canvas shortly after Akino really started to lock in the hold. "Stop, stop! I give up!"

A Kickboxer's Submission Lesson - Page 5 Empty Re: A Kickboxer's Submission Lesson

Though Konata couldn’t see it from this position, a small smirk started to form on Akino’s features. The trapped girl’s inner masochist was enjoying the pain being inflicted, and Akino’s inner sadist was loving it for the exact same reason. This was the second boxer she’d done something like this to since coming to the AFW, and it felt just as good to the one-eyed girl this time around.

But, as much fun as it was dominating a proud fighter into submission, Akino had meant everything she’d said about not wanting to cause any unnecessary injuries. So almost immediately after Konata tapped out and surrendered, the hold was released and Akino moved off her foe. Crouching beside her, she offered the girl a hand to help her up.

“You alright?”

Thankfully, Akino was true to her word and immediately laid off on the hold once Konata tapped out, even getting off of her. This left Konata to lie on the ground, trying to get the feeling back in her arm. As much as she wanted to take Akino's hand and stand up, she was much too worn out from the pain she felt in her arm. "Ugh... you're brutal Sensei..." Despite her groans, she had a smile on her face, mostly because she really got off on that finisher. Now if only it was so damn unbearable to deal with it pain-wise... "I'm fine... Just... hurting..." Konata got onto her knees and started massaging her arm, trying to make the soreness go away.

"Oww..." She could just barely move her arm around. It wasn't broken thankfully, it just hurt a lot. Glad that wasn't a serious match, it'd suck to get destroyed that fast in a fight. "Hehe, guess this is why I'm in the Kawaii League." She remarked.

A Kickboxer's Submission Lesson - Page 5 Empty Re: A Kickboxer's Submission Lesson

Despite the pain Konata was enduring in her arm, Akino was surprised to see a smile plastered on the young girl’s face. She had guessed by now the kawaii might have some masochistic tendencies, but even still it was impressive to see how much pain she had been able to take in such a short amount of time. “Sorry about that. But that’s exactly the reason why I said we should tap out immediately when someone uses a hold.” Akino said, kneeling down beside her.

Fortunately, there didn’t seem to be any major damage to the arm. It’d probably be good as new in a day or so, at the latest. But when she heard Konata’s words, Akino shook her head. “Don't get down on yourself. You’re not a bad wrestler. Nor does being a Kawaii mean anything like that. Take what happened today as a learning lesson. Keep practicing your holds and be patient with your strikes when fighting grappling specialists in the future. Do those, and I’m sure you’ll be fine.” she said, as reassuringly as she could.

At her teacher's words, Konata gave a small laugh. As nice as she was being, acting so caring just didn't seem to fit Akino's character for some reason. It felt a little forced, and Konata found it surprisingly funny. "Hehe, thanks Sensei." She said, lifting her good arm and revealing a fist. "Next time we spar I'll make sure to get a good punch or kick in! Just you wait!" No sooner did she say that did she lie back onto the canvas.

"Man, I'm worn out now..." She said with a heavy exhale. "Mind if we call it a day Sensei? I don't think I can do any more training today."

A Kickboxer's Submission Lesson - Page 5 Empty Re: A Kickboxer's Submission Lesson

It generally wasn’t like Akino to offer that kind of encouragement. But when she did, it was almost never out of simple sympathy, or just an attempt to cheer someone up. She meant what she said, and cracked a small smile at hearing Konata’s laugh. "I’ll be looking forward to it.” she replied.

Seeing how tired the usually energetic kawaii was, this did seem like a good moment to stop. “That’s fine.” she said with a nod, then reached out to give Konata a quick pat on the shoulder before standing up. “I’ll be ready for that next session whenever you are. Feel free to let me know anytime you want to train with me again. Keep what you’ve learned today in mind, and I’m sure it’ll help you out in your matches.”

She then moved to exit the ring and headed back toward the locker room, waving back to the girl as she went. “Later, Konata.”
