Bryan Daniels vs. Makoto Takeda - Hard Restart

Mako was honestly not sure what the fuck happened.

One moment, everything was good. Good-ish, anyway. She was in control, it seemed, and poised to knock Bryan’s head off his shoulders with her kicks. Missing teeth wouldn’t do much or his modeling career, she was sure on that, and she aimed to have a collection of them by the time she was done with him.

But before that could happen, however, she found her leg trapped under his arms. Therew as a whirlwind of movement and flipping and rolling and when it all ended, her shoulders were on the floor, her butt was sticking out, the referee was counting, and she was royally pissed off.

”Shit!” She went into a spastic fit, trying her best to kick out, but she had no leverage like this and not nearly enough strength to power out. At best, she could wriggle about, not nearly enough to save her.

”2…!”

Relying on sheer wrestling instinct with a hefty modicum of dumb luck was how Bryan generally came out on top in most of his matches. The model athlete usually not even knowing what wrestling move he was pulling out until he was half-way into doing it. His wrestling coaches always telling him he had a knack for the business if he could just spend as much time training as he does staring at himself in the mirror. An unlikely outcome to be sure...but it turns out Bryan may not even need it in this instance!! The model athlete weighing down the squirming Mako until he heard the climactic...

"Three!!"

...count. Bryan immediately repelled off of Mako and made several tumbling rolls until he found the edge of the ring. The entirety of his energy reserves dedicated to making an immediate exit out of the ring and hopping over the barricade into the ecstatic audience. His blaring theme and wild cheers confirming his sneaky win as he looked back towards the ring with a delirious and thoroughly exhausted smile. Cheering fans surrounding him on both sides and patting his shoulders as he took the moment to bask in his upset win. Bryan than taking the time to offer Mako a phone call gesture with his thumb and pinky finger next to his head before mouthing...

"Call me..."

...with a winking smile before beading a hasty retreat. He knew better than to stick around to see what happens when a furious gang-leader with devoted cronies backstage loses a match...yeah he wasn't gonna be around for that.

Three seconds. Just three seconds, and it was all over.

Mako immediately popped to her feet and went after him with swinging fists - but all for nought. He was gone, long, wisely ducking out of the ring with great haste and leaving her with nothing but an empty ring and a laughing crowd. Stone and Devine were already rushing down to the ring, but it was no use at this point. He’d escaped the beatdown he so rightly deserved.

It wouldn’t save his ears, though.

”Give me a mic, give me a fucking mic!” Mako stormed around the ring until Devine managed to wrestle the microphoe away from the announcer. She tossed it to her pint-sized leader, who hopped on the top of the turnbuckle and screamed in the direction Bryan was fleeing.

”Hey! Hey, get the fuck back here, you little shit! You think I’m done with you? You think you can fuck with the Valkyries and just walk away? You are so fucking wrong, and I’m going to show you just how fucking wrong you are! This isn’t over, you hear? I’m gonna find you, shithead. Doesn’t matter where you go, doesn’t matter where you hide, I’m tracking you down and given you the bitchslapping you earned today, you can fucking believe that! There’s nowhere on the goddamn earth you can go! So get ready, okay? It won’t happen today, won’t happen tomorrow, won’t happen a week from now. But it will happen. You’ll be walking along, minding your own business, then you’ll hear a noise behind you, and just like that, your ass will be mine. Just. Like. That. Just you wait, just you-”

Either Mako didn’t notice that her microphone was cut off halfway through the rant, or she just didn’t care.
