Edward totally headbutted her boobs, but Valley wouldn’t bring it up. Not now, anyway. She had more pressing concerns - like whatever it was that Edward was setting her up for.

Instead of continuing to work her over on the outside of the ring, Edward reached down and helped her up, making her rise on groggy legs. She appreciated the help and the time he was wasting, but she was savvy enough to know this wasn’t the gentlemanly thing to do. No, this match was past its halfway point, the momentum was shifting. He was trying to set her up for something. Something big. Something that would seal the match.

Something she had to stop, no matter what.

She learned that something soon enough, too, as she heard the crowd start to rise up, growing more excited by the second. Valley looked up in time to see Edward soaring through the air, flying high, looking to come down on her with a picture-perfect, Wikipedia-worthy Phoenixsault. Off the middle rope, too, didn’t see that variation often. Shame she was about to ruin it.

As Edward came down her way, a mere instant away from crashing down into her. Valley leaped off the floor to meet him. She turned her body in mid-air and shot her legs out, nailing him in the chest with a dropkick at the pivotal moment and destroying his momentum. It wouldn’t be the best time for her, but it would be twice as bad for him, and that was the important thing.

Edward almost couldn't contain his excitement as he flipped and soared through the air. It was a difficult move, the Phoenix-sault, one that had taken weeks to perfect on the trampoline back home, his first time getting to pull one off in the ring, and he could tell it was picture perfect. This was going to put Valley away. He was going to beat his own idol.

She was going to be impressed.

She was going...to kick him in the chest.

Edward only had a brief glimpse of it, a flash of boots in mid air, his emerald eyes going wide, before said boots crashed into his chest, stopping his momentum flat and knocking him backwards, the teen's grand visions in his head met with cold reality as he crashed onto the padded concrete, only able to twich and let out a loud wheeze, the wind completely knocked out of him!

Again, this was all but guaranteed to suck for Valley, and she knew that when she leaped up. Even if she connected clean, the momentum from his fall would ram her into the mat, back first. It would be better than her landing flat on her, but not by all that much. But it would all be worth it if he took more damage than she did, and as it turned out, that was the result she got.

She landed on her back and flopped over to her chest, looking up in time to see him crash and burn nearby. Her back ached fierce from the fall, but she pushed it back as best as she could, forcing herself up to her feet, determined to rise as she leaned on the apron for support. ”Bullseye.”

She could hear the referee counting nearby, a subtle reminder that she needed to bring this back into the ring, for both their sakes. After she took a deep breath to gather composure, Valley moved over to her fallen foe, grabbed his arm, and hauled him up to his feet, rolling him to the ring shortly after. For her part, she just hopped up on the apron, grabbed the middle rope, and waited on one knee, looking on and waiting to see what position he moved into before she choose her next move.

Edward was damned lucky that Valley wasn't the kind of wrestler who liked taking wins by count out, because frankly, if she had left him there and let the count go on, he honestly wasn't sure he could have gotten up before the 10 count.

He offered no resistance as he was lifted and rolled into the ring, needing a few moments of wheezing before he was finally able to hold in a breath. After a few pants, he started to rose, a dark spot on his chest in the imprints of her boots darkening, while remaining wide open to her next move!

Target acquired. Locked. Ready to fire.

Valley kept her position as Edward started to rise, keeping an eye on his movements, noting how aware he was. After the mistakes she’d made, there was no way she was underestimating his stamina again. She was starting to feel better, more in control of the situation, but he could change that in an instant. He’d done so once before.

She waited until he started to rise, then made her move. Grabbing the top rope, she yanked her way up and spun about in mid-air, so that the back of her legs landed on it. From there, it was just a matter of letting the ropes do what they did best - the bounced her off, and she went flying backwards in an arc, going for what seemed like an Arabian Press Moonsault. Instead of landed on his back with her stomach, however, she tucked her legs in, so she would come down on him with two of the hardest parts of her body - a Moonsault Kneedrop.

Having some wind back, Edward was on high alert, emerald eyes darting back and forth, head moving, trying to keep an eye on Valley. The woman moved quickly and always had an attack prepared, and considering what had happened just now when he let his guard down, he couldn't afford to let that happen again.

He honestly wasn't sure where she was, until he turned his head, seeing her mid-flip, eye's widening as he realized she was about to crash down on him. He lunged to the side, just barely avoiding the attack with his upper body, Valley's softer upper body landing on his legs while her knee's, where all the force of the blow was centered, hit the mat, literally brushing against his head as it landed.

That was too close. Valley was playing for keeps now, looking to end the young fanboy for good. He had to finish this.

While he let Valley did with recovering from her miss, and panted heavily from the sheer relief of not having his head crushed by said knees, which would have certainly ended his night, Edward, using that rush, forced himself up, grabbing the nearby ropes to haul himself to his feet, and quickly ascending the nearby turnbuckle, his back to the ring.

Once he was sure Valley Doll was rising back up herself, he would cross himself, hoping this last ditch gamble would pay off, before leaping upwards into the air, his body arcing backwards, completely upside down at the peak of his leap, then continued rotating as he came down, swiftly completing a rotation and, to the shock of everyone watching, managing a second backwards rotation, actually having the audacity to steal Valley Doll's own Double Moonsault finisher, all eyes eager to see if he would take the Doll down or crash and burn once again!

There were some benefits to doing the kneedrop version of the move, and they were calculated. The knees would do more damage to him, really crush his midsection, and that was her aim at the moment - destroy his core, take away his ability to kick out, and claim the victory from there. It all felt academic at this point.

But, of course, things weren’t so simple. She was starting to see that Edward had some exceptional ring awareness, able to keep his wits about him when other wrestlers would falter, and she saw that on display against as he managed to see what she was about to do and move in time to avoid it. Thanks to her knees, it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been, giving her some good cushion on the impact, but it was still far from pleasant and sent a shock through her system.

And, more importantly, it left her open. Wide open.

She didn’t know what he was about to go for, but she did know that she didn’t want to be on the receiving end of it, and if she wanted to escape, the time to attempt was now, right now. Pushing herself up, ignoring the flames in her knees, she looked out of the corner of her eye just in time to see him coming at her, with…

A double moonsault?

She had precious little time to process it, but sure enough, that was what he was doing. Two full turns, making sure to tuck in and eliminate any latent drag. It took a lot of leg strength and timing to execute the move, facts she had to learn the hard way, but he nailed it, making for quite a sight to see.

For all of the half second before he crashed into her and nailed him into the canvas, she was impressed. Then she found herself a wrecked, aching mess on the canvas, and was just...pressed.

Holy shit. He did it. He hit Valley Doll with her OWN FINISHER.

Forget his Phoenix-Sault from earlier. THIS was perfect. Years of bouncing on trampolines, falling off and scuffing knees, getting winded, landing on concrete once and breaking his wrist, all the time in the gym stretching and strengthening his legs, all paid off as he flipped twice in the air and came down onto Valley.

Even his landing was perfect, as he connected with his opponent. Even without countering, if she had been on her knees, or bent over, or had her knees or elbows up, it could have fucked up his landing, potentially done more damage to him than her. Instead, she had been standing on both feet, and his body crashed into her at just the right position, dropping the veteran flat to the mat, his knees over her head, thighs and crotch on the sides and front of her face.

Once she hit the mat, her own legs even worked against her, perfectly kicking upwards in recoil, allowing Edward to grab his arms around them and pulling them in a pin, his head down. Indeed, it actually looked like a rather explicit position between the two of them, but neither the fans or Edward even noticed, all focusing on the pin as the ref girl dropped down to slap at the mat.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

'Radical' Edward Sealgair vs. Valley Doll - Thunderstruck - Page 6 Empty Re: 'Radical' Edward Sealgair vs. Valley Doll - Thunderstruck

Wrestling was a sport with few rules, and at times it felt like the ones it did have were made up on the spot. Instead, there was more attention to honor and traditions, especially when compared with things like MMA. Lines that were never crossed. Taboos you didn’t break. Precedents that were simply never broken.

Here was a big one, though, that most wrestlers rarely dealt with: Never, ever, lose to your own finisher.

There were few things that marked a wrestler like that. In a way, it was a sort of complement, having a wrestler forego their own move to use yours, as if yours was the better choice. But it was also a way to stunt on an opponent, show you could do anything better than they could. She doubted Edward meant it as a way of disrespect, probably just trying to impress her, and she couldn’t fault him for wanting to make headlines.

But, at the same time, it was something she could allow. So, as she laid there, aching as she suffered the effects she’d induced on others, she knew what she had to do.

The referee’s hand was coming down for the final count, so close to the mat, mere inches when she threw her legs up and flopped free. It wasn’t 2.5, more like 2.9, and the crowd went into an immediate frenzy debate. Some claimed it was a three count all the way, while the more sharp eyed ones had the right of it, but that didn’t stop the predictable chant.

[b][i]”THAT WAS 3! THAT WAS 3! THAT WAS 3!”[/COLOR]

Stealing another wrestlers finisher, beating them with their own move, there was a certain power in that, a certain humiliation, saying you could do their move better than they could. Pulling off your idols own move, beating them with it...felt utterly exhilarating . He held the womans legs down as tightly as he could, hearing the hand slap against the mat once, twice...only for Valley to kick out as it hit a third time, the recoil bouncing young Edward's body off of the veterans.

For several moments, both fighters lay on the mat, breathing and panting heavily, as the crowd verbally debated if that count was 2 or 3. Not that it mattered, the referee said 2, so a 2 count it was, and Edward wasn't going to fight her on it.

Finally, the young teen was the first to rise up, sweat dripping off of his body, swinging his ponytail off his shoulder as he looked down at Valley. "I just...I just gotta say...this has been incredible. Best match of my entire life. You really do live up to your hype, just incredible!" he said, giving legit praise to his idol before reaching down and grabbing her arm, his other hand grabbing around the back of the veterans neck. It would have been easier to grab her hair...but that would have been disrespectful.

"You're awesome Valley, super awesome, I mean it, and I hope we can be cool after this. This has been a total thrill, an honor, really. But as much as I respect you, I gotta prove myself, I gotta show that I'm worth keeping around here, and to do that, I gotta finish you off!" He exclaimed, pulling the Slamazon up to her feet, making sure she was steady and getting into position before he would leap upwards, high as he could, turning his body in mid air so his back was above the mat, facing away from Valley, reaching back to clasp around her head again, trying to pull her down and bring her face first to the mat with a Sealgair Cutter, trying to put the former Entropy Champion down for good!
